1946 Chevrolet Canopy Express

Back in 1936 the little town of Lawton, Iowa (population 280) got their first motorized firetruck. It was this 1936 Chevrolet 1/2-Ton with fire equipment by a company called Luverne. Ron and Orpha Eyres now own the firetruck because Ron came from Lawton he says. Today they live in Kechi, Kansas. But they brought their treasured firetruck to the Lake Geneva VCCA convention this week so we could all enjoy it.
