1948 Ford Woody Wagon

Ford Woody Wagon. WITHOUT A DOUBT! This 1948 Ford Woody Wagon measures up to one of the "FINEST" Woodies in the country! With only 1000 miles since completion, this car is fresh and ready to cruise and show! Built by Renown Woody expert " Teddy Z " from Romulus, Michigan. The build took over two years to complete. Superior wood throughout with meticulous attention to detail and fitment of all wood and body panels. Subtle, tasteful custom touches is the epitome of the phrase " DOING A LOT TO MAKE LESS SAY MORE". Starting in the interior, a 1941 Ford dash was completely reworked, smoothed and perfectly fitted with a timeless look of countersunk gauges. Small diameter tilt steering column from and early Chevy van with a tasteful welded and smoothed column drop topped off by a Banjo steering wheel. The interior features Tan Ultra-Naugahyde front and rear seats, a beautiful Maple wood headliner and contrasting Maple and Mahogany door panels. Of course you gotta be cool, so a Vintage Air and heat unit was installed and a AM/FM CD with hidden speakers. Exterior mods are subtle as well....The rear taillights are 1937 Ford with hand-made stanchions, the rear bumper was moved up 2 inches, tucked in 2 inches & fitted with a 1949 Chevy license frame that was narrowed 2 inches. A custom 16 gauge gravel shield was handmade and fitted between the rear bumper and body. The rear window was lengthen 5/8 of a inch to eliminate the ugly original rear rubber seal. The front bumper was narrowed 4 inches and tucked in 1 inch. The fender trim was removed, welded and metal finished for an overall smooth look. These types of modifications go unnoticed, BUT... all add up to the overall timeless flow and the ever-so-cool Hot Rod look.... The drive train consists of a brand new 350 cu.in.290 HP GM Goodwrench crate engine oufitted with Dura-shine Edelbrock intake & carb. Topped off with Billet Specialties dress up items....Mated to a new TH 350 trans and coupled to a 8 inch Ford rear end with parallel leaf springs. Front suspension consists of a Mustang II front cross member mounted up 1 inch with dropped spindles and lowered coils. Rack-n-pinion steering and power disc brakes adds to modern drive-ability...This cars RIDES and DRIVES FANTASTIC! Black Hartz cloth top is super tight, and fits like a glove. Super deep black paint looks a mile deep and the 18 & 20 inch Billet Specialties wheels finish off this amazing.... HOT ROD WOODY
