Twitter fans will get upset when we tell them this is a 1991 Honda NSX. They will likely fire off nasty tweets, telling us it is an Acura, not a Honda. Dah! But wait. Let us explain. Not many American collectors are aware that Honda offered the NSX under the Honda brand for the Japanese new car market from 1990 through 2005. So, when you see a Honda NSX in this country it would have to be a rare JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) edition.
The GAA Classic Auction added this rare 1991 Honda NSX to their auction inventory this week. It will be sold at No Reserve on Friday, July 22, 2022 at The Automobile Palace during the GAA Classic Auction, in Greensboro, North Carolina. The JDM cars are all right hand drive and made for the Japanese domestic market. But they are now eligible to be brought here to the U.S. as collector cars. We have mentioned how the first generation Acura NSX super cars have been escalating in value in recent years. Just think how much more valuable this JDM version NSX could be. A smart collector might want to pick on up before they appreciate even more.
The NSX was the first all-aluminum bodied super car to be mass produced. Honda designed the NSX as an all-aluminum, monocoque body with an all-aluminum suspension. Add to that the all-aluminum 3.0 Liter V6 motor, and you have a great power to weight ratio. The mid-engine design was so well balanced there was just nothing like it. With the emergence of the second generation NSX which came out in 2016, the original NA1 3.0 NSX versions have become more valuable. We can't wait to see what this one goes for in two weeks at the GAA Classic.
Be sure to read a full report on this rare 1991 Honda NSX today on the MyDreamCar.online blog. There will be more statistics and price information there. Then you might want to register to bid on this NSX super car in two weeks when it will cross the auction floor at No Reserve. It should be interesting.

Carlisle Events has announced that Dodge is on tap to show up for the Chrysler Nationals this month, July 15-17, 2022 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. You know the Dodge Boys will be bringing some tire twisting displays for their performance cars. Carlisle Events tells us there will be over 3,000 Mopars on display there. They say the automotive flea market will be worth attending, too. Find this event and all the best national car shows listed in the COL Car Show Calendar online now.

These are getting harder to find. We used to see a 1970 Plymouth Superbird for sale in the newsletter once or twice a month just a few years ago. Now you might only see one or two per year. This fresh listing has won multiple awards including the Gold Award at the MCACN muscle car show in Chicago in 2018 and has been featured in multiple magazines. It is being offered for sale by Haggle Me, an internet broker representing their private party client. They say it underwent a meticulous restoration by Magnum Auto Restoration, Inc. in 2018. It comes with the original 440 engine and a 6 Pack on top. The Petty Blue car has a black vinyl interior with bucket seats and a console.
Here is a fresh restoration done on a 1959 Ford Skyliner Retractable which was listed this week by a private party seller from Johnstown, Pennsylvania. The tutone color combination is Wedgewood over Surf, one you don't see very often. They say it has a fresh powder coated frame-off restoration completed just this spring. The work was done by noted restoration expert Jerry Miller of Jerry's Classic Cars. They say there are only 25 test miles on the car. It has the 352 Police Interceptor motor, Cruise-o-Matic, power steering, front disc brakes, aftermarket air conditioning, padded dash, and hubcaps with Sunray dress-up kit. The Continental kit is correct for this car.
The GAA Classic Auction, set for July 21-23 at The Auto Palace, could prove to be one of the most interesting collector car auctions of the year. As we look over their auction inventory we are impressed with how many desirable classic cars are being offered at No Reserve. A good number of the 650 cars to be sold there will have the No Reserve sign on as they cross the auction block. Here are some examples.
This is amazing! This 1957 Ford Thunderbird E Code with the rare dual four-barrels will be offered at No Reserve when the GAA Classic Auction convenes in two weeks. They believe only about 150 of these were built with 3-speeds on the column. Think about it. If the bidding is weak, you could be the new owner of this rare classic E-Bird. And it has the Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels. The highest bid takes it. You can bid in person, online or by phone. In order to bid you must be registered. Click here to find out how to register.
A good selection of muscle cars will be crossing the aution foor at the GAA Classic Auction on Saturday, July 23, 2022. That's when you will see this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in the bidding. Although they say it has a "non-conforming VIN," this Sublime Green mopar muscle car comes equipped with a 440 6 Pack and a Shaker hood, Pistol Grip 4-speed, Rallye wheels, Rally dash with factory tach, and a rear spoiler.
If you've always wanted to own a Shelby Cobra replica, this may be your chance. A black 1966 Shelby Cobra will be offered at No Reserve on Friday, July 22, 2022 during the GAA Classic Auction in Greensboro. It will be sold to the highest bidder without a reserve price, so you know your bid counts. It comes with a Ford 351 ci V8 engine, and Vintage Air. They say this is a complete new build with all new components. Check out the photos at the link. It has a manula transmission, and they say the chrome is new.
If you've been watching the big national auctions recently you know that these full size Broncos have been going up iin value rapidly. Ever since the retro Ford Bronco came out these older Broncos have been hot in the collector market. This is a 1979 Ford Bronco XLT with the iconic '70s Chromatic stripe scheme. It was real trendy back in the day. It comes with a removable fiberglass top, factory installed captains chairs, a 2.5" Rough Country lift kit, Ford 351 motor, automatic transmission and big wheels and tires.

The championship of NASCAR was once referred to as the Grand National. That's when Buick decided to pay tribute to NASCAR by calling its new sports car the Grand National. The powerful Buick V6 made the Grand National the fastest production car ever made. This 1987 Buick Grand National was so cherished by its owners that it has only acquired 6,478 miles making it our featured low-mile car this week.

This is a Sebring 5000 series recreation of a 1963 Austin Healey. It comes with an auxiliary hardtop. The private party seller says it was built by a race car driver from his area of New York. The list of performance equipment is amazing. Originally the seller had it priced at $37,500, which seemed reasonable. But just this week he got impatient and asked us to drop the price to $27,000. Now that's a great price!

The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the DEAL of the DAY feature on the Cars On Line homepage. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the homepage!
These cars were the perfect base cars to hot rod and take to the drag strip. That's why there are so few mid-year Fairlanes left today. This 1967 Ford Fairland 500XL is an Arizona car, the private party seller tells us. He says there is no rust and it comes with air conditioning. In the description he confides that the original 390 big block has been overhauled by a reputable shop with only 25,000 miles on the redo. He says he has a new power steering control valve and new power steering cylinder in the box. And he says he has the original hubcaps for it also. You should have it inspected to see how well it runs and drives. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday. The asking price is $17,000.
The Ford Model A will live forever in our hearts as the quintessential American motor car. By the time the Model A came into being, over half the cars in the world were Fords. Here is a 1929 Ford Model A Sport Coupe with the fancy carriage top. They say it is all original, the product of a frame off restoration. It is being offered for sale by a private party seller from Clovis, California. He says it is in "nice overall shape." It has the red wire wheels which contrast the canary yellow body. Be sure to have it inspected before you buy. But hurry! At this price we don't expect it to last long. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. The price is $16,500.
Here is one of those unusual models that appeared shortly on the American car scene then disappeared. It is a 1973 Buick Centurion Convertible, a gentleman's muscle car for the executive type "Yuppie." This is a big car with a 455 Buick engine, 4-barrel carburetor and TH400 automatic transmission. They often refer to the classic Volkswagen Beetle convertibles as cabriolets. Whatever fancy name you called them, it is true that they are special. Here is a 1971 VW Beetle Convertible being offered for sale through Classic Car Liquidators out of Sherman, Texas. They seem to come up with some very interesting collector cars at very low prices. Thus their name. You will find this VW has a 1600 cc engine with a 4-speed transmission. Check out how nice it looks in the photos. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is $15,999.
1968 was the year that Mercury adopted the new Ford 302 ci V8 engine to replace the veteran 289 ci. It was more of a performance based set up that fit well with the image of the Cougar. So this 1968 Mercury Cougar XR-7 was in on the 302 from the gitgo. It is being offered for sale through Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles. Seen here in Cardinal Red, the XR-7 comes with an Edelbrock carburetor, power steering, air conditioning, steel wheels with BF Goodrich tires, lap belts, and a two-spoke steering wheel. They say it is an original black plate car that is mechanically sound. It will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week. The asking price is $16,750.
