Every internet classic car buyer needs a dependable transport company to complete a sale. Just this week we were asked what it would cost to transport a car across country. With transportation costs rising we thought we should check to see what prices are now for 2022. The car was in Peoria, Arizona, and it needed to be transported to Syracuse, New York. That trip would be 2,387 miles via U.S. highway I-40, about 35 hours of driving straight through. So we checked with American Auto Shipping, one of our recommended auto shipping services. They told us the job would cost $1,399 if they were to ship it open carrier, or $2,079 to ship enclosed carrier. From early Chevy Blazers to restored Dodge Power Wagon boggers, the off-roading hobby has been exploding onto collectors' radar in recent years. Most notably, the values on Ford Broncos have been escalating with some prices up over 400 percent in that time. The most interesting find on our site this week is a very original looking 1971 Ford Bronco just listed by Motorcar Studio in Atlanta. They tell us it is very straight, solid and largely rust-free with uncut rear fenders. Yet, departing from original it has some tasteful recent upgrades, including power front disc brakes, power steering and a two-inch suspension lift. A pro built 200 ci 6 cylinder engine was installed in 2019. A new clutch and resurfaced flywheel are among the recent service maintenance additions, plus a full tune-up, driveshaft rebuild, radiator and hoses, engine and transfer case mounts, rebuilt clutch linkage, alternator and more. All right! You Ford Thunderbird fans are probably wondering what this is. Coast Motor Company in Palmetto, Florida relisted this rare 1955 Ford Thunderbird this week. They have it for sale in their inventory. It seems that Ford Motor Company was once thinking of including Fairlane Crown Victoria trim on the first edition Ford Thunderbird in 1955. In fact, there is a brochure circulating the internet. (Refer to this article on it by Larry Edsall, one of the editors for the ClassicCars.com Journal.) Ford never offered the Crown Victoria trim on the Thunderbird, but here is one. So Coast Motor Company explains in their ad copy that this is a "prototype tribute." They add that there were only four of these made. Evidently someone who knew about the "Fairbird" made replicas of them. We have never seen any of the other "Fairbird" replicas. But we have to admit, it is one of the most interesting listings of the week.

Classic Cadillacs are due to escalate in value this year. That's what we took away from the recent Raleigh Fall Classic Auction at the end of 2021. (Read the results from the Raleigh Auction here.) You can see the accelerated interest in these classic Cadillacs, especially the low mile ones from the 1950's and 1960's. This week, Fast Lane Classic Cars in St Charles, Missouri just listed a highly desirable 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille Two-Door Hardtop with the iconic rear tail fins. These cars are not only great classic cars to drive and enjoy, but they are poised to go up in value as an investment. Luckily for our readers, this one is still reasonably priced. RK Motors Charlotte just posted a 1990 Corvette ZR-1 with just 4,995 miles from new. Having an LT-5 motor, 6-speed manual transmission, leather interior and air conditioning, it was a well appointed sports car for its era. What's more, it comes documented with two build sheets. It is one of only 125 ZR-1's which were produced in Artic White that year. This rare survivor is so collectible because this was the first year for ZR-1 production. The C-4 ZR-1 was powered by a British Lotus designed engine.

A Kentucky street rodder has over $100,000 invested in his picturesque 1936 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Now, with the stock market treading water again, there just doesn't seem to be as much money to play with anymore. He is not getting offers with respect for how great a vehicle this one is. It has a custom made chassis and Street and Performance Corvette LS1 mated to a 4L60E automatic transmission. Just this week he reduced the price to $70,000. Will that be enough to draw out the buyers?

A COPO 427 Camaro would make the list of TOP TEN Muscle Cars of all time. So it stands to reason that collectors want them badly enough to make COPO replicas a hot item in the collector car hobby. A 1968 Corvette Convertible was just retrieved from long-term storage. Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles has listed it for sale this week. With Tuxedo black paint and a black interior, the car has desirable collector value. However, since it was just out of storage, it is ready for a light reconditioning, they say. You will have to have it inspected to get a good idea of the condition class. The C3 comes equipped with an automatic transmission, V8 engine, chrome bumpers, soft top frame, and Cooper tires. You know that Corvettes are the "gold standard" for collectors so this one will have good value to the right buyer. Find them, and fix them is the way to create value in this hobby. Ford Model A replicas are so popular. Whenever we have a really nice one listed they sell fast. Here is a rare 1931 Ford Model A Phaeton model replica done by Glassic. If you have seen these Glassic fiberglass reproductions you know they are of high quality. This one is being offered for sale at Coast Motor Company in Palmetto, Florida this week. It is a great opportunity to acquire a collector car you can drive and enjoy. They say it sits on an International Scout chassis and is powered by a Ford 302 ci V8 mated to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. It features a removable hard top and window panels as well as a soft top. It also features power brakes, both hard and soft tops, heater, and wire wheels wrapped in radial tires. Made for the collector who wants modern technology but retaining all the look and feel of the good ole days, this Glassic is worth checking out. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. The asking price is only $19,995.

If you like old Chevy's you'll fall in love with this flamed 1949 Chevy Bel Air 2-Door with custom restoration. It is being offered for sale through an internet broker called Classic Car Deals out of Michigan. They say the car is located in Pennsylvania. It has custom features such as a Nova front clip, power front disk brakes, power steering, tilt steering wheel and a very nice leather inteiror (see photos on the ad page.) It also has Nova posi rear end and aftermarket gauges. They tell us everything works. You can have it inspected before you buy it. It has a mild built 350 with a Turbo 350 transmission. They say the car is turnkey ready to drive anywhere. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. The asking price is $11,995.

You will want to read the really detailed description on this 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible being offered for sale at Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. Then check out all the photos. This one looks pretty tight and they say it has had fresh paint in recent years. The interior photos tell their own story. Very clean. The copy writer makes a good case for this being one of the nicer Corvairs out there. So many that you see on the market today are just a mess. So look at this one with a note of optimism. Of course, you should have it inspected so you get a five-page report on its condition and a report on the test drive. So much depends on it driving as good as it looks. But hurry! This one will be our DEAL of the DAY on Tuesday. The asking price is $16,900.

Here is a 1952 Chevy 3100 5-Window Pickup being offered for sale by a private seller from Buhl, Minnesota. The seller tells us it is in "excellent mechanical and overall condition." He says it runs and drives as new with a rebuilt 235 straight 6 cylinder motor from a later model Chevy and a 4-speed transmission. He also indicates that the clutch is excellent, with a very nice drivetrain and 12-volt conversion already done. It includes new wireing and fuse box. All the important things works, including lights, horn, directional flashers, wipers, with all brakes and brake lines replaced. He says the truck stops on a dime. He also indicates that the frame on this truck is excellent with springs and suspension refurbished along with the front end. We just had to make our DEAL of the DAY at midweek. The asking price is only $18,900.

Coast Motor Company in Florida has another great deal with this rare 1993 Nissan 300ZX Convertible. Out of 9,124 Z's produced there were only 501 which were convertibles, according to the ZCar.com website. This one is red with a black leather interior. It came from the factory equipped with power steering, power disc brakes, ice cold factory air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power seats, power mirrors, tilt steering column, Kenwood stereo, cruise control, rear spoiler, and factory chrome 16-inch wheels wrapped in radial tires. They say the odometer shows 129k miles. It is powered by a 3.0L V6 engine mated to an automatic transmission. It will be the DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is $10,995.

A nice looking 1983 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS was listed for sale by American Classics Auto Trader in Pompano Beach, Florida yesterday. Not only does it say it has ice cold air conditioning but also comes with factory tach and gauges and lots of optional equipment. They say it has only 119,000 miles. Since it is from Florida, it is said to be rock solid and untouched underneath. It has cruise control, original paint, and comes with many service records. Most important, they say it runs and drives excellent with a 305 ci V8, automatic transmission and power options. You can have it inspected before you buy. But hurry! It is being offered for sale today at $18,988. You have to admit that is a lotta' car for the money.
