Hennessey Performance in Sealy, Texas is famous for building outrageous performance cars and trucks. But this time they've really outdone themselves. They announced this week that they are ready to take orders on their newest bad boy, the Hennessey Mammoth 6X6 truck.  At almost seven feet high and 88 inches wide, the enormous 6x6 pickup truck dwarfs ordinary trucks. And it has the power to match its bulk. Hennessey's engineers are pulling 1,012 bhp out of the Dodge Ram TRX engine. Only twelve of these Hennessey Mammoth 6X6 trucks will be built this year at a price of $449,950 to the buyer. Click here to view their introductory video. Man, does it sound good.

If you snooze, you lose, in this market. An Iowa collector listed his 1959 Chevrolet Impala Convertible for sale this week on Wednesday. It was not online a full 24 hours when a buyer showed up and bought the car. "Wow. I sold that car already this morning. I placed an ad yesterday," said the seller. "Sold it in one day. Not even 24 hours. Fantastic. You guys always come through for me."

Hey, look what just showed up in Vanguard Motor Sales' showroom in Plymouth, Michigan. A hard-to-find 2022 Corvette Stingray with the 1LT package and only 6 actual delivery miles on it. In the "must see" walk-around video, Greg from Vanguard tells us these cars are so hot right now, Ferrari owners are trading their late model Ferraris to get one. It is powered by a 6.2L making 490 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque, putting all those horses to the pavement through an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The Raleigh Spring Classic is fast approaching, May 6-7, 2022. This is one of the most popular collector car auctions in the Southeast. Held at the Capitol Auto Auction in Youngsville, North Carlina, you will find most of the classic car dealers througout the Southeastern states at the Raleigh Auction to stock up on low miles collector cars. That is what the Raleigh Auction is known for. You willl find more low miles collectibles there than any other auction in the country.

There is a huge selection of significant classic muscle cars in this year's spring edition of the Raleigh Classic Auction. We counted two very rare 1969 Pontiac Trans Am pony cars in the auction inventory. This 1969 Pontiac Trans Am is said to have only 19k actual miles. It is one of only 114 4-speed versions of the Pontiac Trans Am in that year. As you know, 1969 was the first year for the Trans Am. They say this one is completely restored and remains numbers matching. It will be crossing the auction block on Saturday, May 7.

From the Tom Roush Collection, this 1956 Ford Crown Victoria was previously owned by the president of the Crown Victoria Club, and they say it has just 15,800 actual miles. They say it is all original and runs excellent. The optional equipment on this one includes: Van Auken wrap-around bumper guards, Continental Kit, power steering, newly installed NOS padded dash, Wonderbar radio, and factory wire wheel covers. It is an excellent example of the selection of classic 1950's cars to be sold at the Raleigh Classic.

Classic car dealers throughout the Southeast have used the Raleigh Classic for decades to re-supply their inventories with low miles collector cars. Here is a great example. This 1977 Mercury Grand Marquis will be in their Friday sale, May 6, 2022. The promo info on this one says it has only 28k original miles and comes fully optioned. It is finished in cream with a brown full vinyl roof and optional brown leather/cloth twin-comfort lounge seats. It has  air conditioning and full power, including power 6-way driver and passenger seats

The variety and selection of classic station wagons in this year's Raleigh Classic Auction is second to none. A great example is this 1954 Chrysler Town & Country Wagon which is set to cross the auction block on Saturday, May 7, 2022. This amazing ride is said to have just 30k original miles. It remains unrestored, although it has had one repaint. Only 1,100 or these T&C station wagons were produced. It has a wood deck cargo area which you can see in the photos. They tell us it is in excellent condition today.

Pampered its whole life, this 1968 Ford Torino is a pristine original car with low mileage. The car is so clean you might mistake it for new. They say you can see it still wearing its original Meadowlark Yellow paint on an all-original and rock-solid body. Look at the chrome and the stainless in the photos. Well maintained, they say it has only 20k original miles. What a find!

The subject of many magazine articles, our readers may recognize this 1966 Mustang GT350 Hertz Convertible. It was built as a tribute to the Shelby Hertz Rent-A-Racers. But this one represents what they may have looked like if Carroll Shelby had chosen to build a convertible version of the Shelby. Built as a pro touring resto mod, it is now being offered for sale at Flemings Ultimate Garage in Rockville, Maryland.

An interesting ad came in this week. This 1965 Dodge Coronet was listed by a private party seller from Bellevue, Washington. The seller says that the description was given to her by her husband before he passed. It has a 273 ci V8 motor, very desirable, but the car has not been started in a while. For the right buyer, this could be a real find. However, it should be inspected before you buy. She was told that it needs a set of points, condenser, ignition and rheostat. The interesting thing about this car is the price. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday. The asking price is only $5,000. Hurry!

If you are tired of going to car shows and seeing nothing but Ford hot rods, look no further. Here is a 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe Tudor that is in very nice restored condition. So says Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. They have a huge collection of classic cars for sale at their converted shoppng mall dealership. They say this one starts right up and is in nice running condition. Check the photos of the engine bay. They think this car has undergone a restoration at some point. It sure looks that way in the photos. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. Their price point is $21,500.

If you know your drag racing history, you'll understand the significance of this 1955 Chevy Bel Air Gasser Wagon. It is a two-door wagon with hot rod tiltglass nose, 400 Oldsmobile high performance motor, high performance Olds heads , 4-speed Muncie, 12 bolt, 3 series gears, posi, power disc brakes and an all-'68 442 drivetrain including bucket seats. This is a tribute to drag racing days, but was built to drive on the streets and show ad local car shows. The paint is less than show quality, but the car is fun to drive, says the private party seller from New York state. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. The asking price is $20,000.

Less is known about this 1955 Ford Mainline which was posted for sale by Country Classic Cars in Staunton, Illinois. Country Classics is a clearing house for collector cars. They love old cars and usually have hundreds on their property. But they move them a low prices. They say this 2-door sedan has a nice body, slick paint, and great original interior. They tell us it has only 56,xxx actual miles, and comes with the original radio, 6 cylinder engine with 3-speed manual transmission. In their words, it is "a sharp looking car ... runs and drives. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Tuesday on the front page of the Cars-On-Line website. The asking price is $16,850.

For decades it seems, Mustang (hardtop) coupes were not on the collector's radar screen. You could buy nice ones for under $10,000. But in the past five years that has changed. Now you are seeing prices north of $20,000 on similar coupes. So this week we were interested to see this 1966 Mustang for sale at Midwest Muscle Cars in Lake Zurich, Illinois. It needs some things, but they tell us it is a "nice driver quality car. well maintained." You will like the body condition, they say. The mid-sized Pontiac Grand Prix were such great cars. It just seems like yesterday when they were roaming the streets of the U.S.A. This one is a sleeper. A private party seller from Phoenix, Arizona says this 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ was an Arizona desert find. He says it still drives like a new car. And it shows just 47k original miles on the odometer (verified by previous owner.) It comes with air conditioning, power windows and power locks. Original documentation is available to go with the sale. He says the vinyl top needs refreshing. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is $13,500.

The upwardly mobile suburban youth culture of the "go-go" 1960's loved their Ford Thunderbirds. It was the luxury car version of the two-door hardtop for the country club set. Here is an excellent example, a 1967 Ford Thunderbird Landau with the vinyl top in triple black. It is being offered for sale at Cody's Classic Cars in Stanley, Wisconsin. They tell us it runs and drives great with a powerful 390 ci V8, and a nice rumble from the dual exhaust. Their are some items that do not work on the car. Read the description for details.
