Two unique days of events enchanted classic car enthusiasts at the 25th Annual Greenwich Concours D'Elegance in Greenwich, Connecticut. The seminars, conferences and tours played to all generations of car fans at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich. (Click this link to view the Concours winners this year.) This event, sponsored by Hagerty, drew over 10,000 collector car enthusiasts during the two days. A recent press release showed noted TV host Wayne Carini motoring his 1926 Bentley (show left) onto the concours field to receive the 2021 People’s Choice Award. Best of Show was won by Michael and Joannie Rich for their 1927 Mercedes-Benz Model K, the same car that took second place to the Best of Show at the Pebble Beach Concours this year.

An Arkansas hot rodder told us, "I'm very happy with Cars-On-Line," when he called our office to have his 1952 Blown Anglia Custom marked SOLD. "The buyer came from North Carolina. He brought a trailer with him. He had cash and everything. Then he trailered it back home." It couldn't have gone any sweeter was his observation.

The Ferrari 365 GTB/4 was called the Daytona in popular lure by Ferrari lovers the world over. Just out of a 40-year ownership, this 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 is chassis 14917, currently finished in grey but retaining its original interior with beautiful patina. It is offered for sale this week by Gullwing Motor Cars in Astoria, New York. A US delivered car with power windows and air conditioning, they say it is a highly original example overall. It comes with Marcel Massini history records, tool roll, jack and the spare. Only 1,284 Ferrari Daytonas were produced. It should be noted that this one is not roadworthy at this time and will need servicing before it can be enjoyed as a collector car. Yet, they say it has only 23k miles from new. Do your research to find out what these Ferrari Daytonas are worth.

Although the 2020 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car was a Corvette Z51 convertible, there were 50 Indy 500 Festival Cars, all Camaro 2SS Convertibles, which were used during the Indianapolis 500 festivities during the week leading up to the event. One of these cars, a 2020 Camaro 2SS Convertible Festival Car, which was actually at the Indianpolis 500 in 2020, has been listed for sale this week at Rock Solid Motorsports in Elkhart, Indiana. Meet No. 23 out of the 50 produced. They say it has only 1,100 original miles. Powering the Camaro is a 455 horsepower, 6.2 Liter LT1 V8 which transfers power through a 10-speed automatic transmission. Click here to view an interesting walk-around video.

The Raleigh Classic Fall Auction is coming up next week, December 3-4, 2021, in Youngsville, North Carolina. It will be your last chance in 2021 to find the car of your dreams at a high profile collector car. In fact, the Raleigh Classic Auction just sent out an email blast about the extraordinary collection of classic Mercury vehicles being presented at the auction this year. This 1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator is a stellar example of the type of desirable collector Mercs you can expect to bid on. Click the link to get more information and see high resolution photos. They say the odometer shows just 23k miles. Only 2,250 Eliminators were ordered in '69.

As always, there will be a discreet selection of high quality classic cars from the Rock N Roll '50s. Cars from the 1950's are always popular at these collector car auctions. This 1954 Buick Skylark Convertible represents the heyday of Buick innovation and automotive design leadership. It comes with the Twin Turbo Dynaflow automatic transmission and that incredibly smooth suspension. Rides like on a cloud. This one was the cover car for Car Collector Magazine and Automobile Magazine. Optional and standard equipment include power steering, power brakes, power windows, power top, power seat, Selectronic Radio and Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels. It comes heavily documented. It's hard to believe now, but in 1978 this Dodge Lil Red Express pickup truck was the fastest vehicle produced that year. This unique muscle truck is one of dozens of high profile pickup trucks which will be offered at the Raleigh Classic Fall Auction in Youngsville next week. Featuring a 360 ci V8 engine and automatic transmission, this 1978 Dodge Li'l Red Express is one of only 2,188 produced that year. It has 76,323 actual miles from new. It is optioned with power steering, power brakes with front disc brakes, moonroof, upgraded Alpine radio and custom wheels. The auction staff has indicated that the original wheels come with. From the exhaust stacks to the beautiful wood bed, this was a unique "born to be collectible" example of a factory pickup.

Interesting, isn't it? This 1913 International Auto Wagon is the true forerunner to today's Sport Utility Wagons. After 1912, International Harvester discontinued its buggy line. The truck offered here is believed to be a circa 1913 Model MA truck and is equipped with an air cooled engine that retains its original “round bar” magneto. This rare find is being offered for sale at the Raleigh Classic Fall Auction next week. They say it was restored in the 1970's. It is being sold on a Bill of Sale only. From the looks of the photos it will need some work. But the very fact that it still exists today is museum worthy. A multi-purpose vehicle, you could put and extra seat behind the driver's seat for passenger use, or you could leave it open and haul product into town and bring back supplies. It is an important piece of Americana. It will be in the sale on Saturday, December 4.

A 1983 Cadillac Seville Elegante was listed for sale by Classic & Collectible Cars of Las Vegas this week. The top-of-the-line Cadillac was a special edition that year. They tell us this particular car has only 15,900 original miles. It has the 4.1 liter V8, automatic transmission and all the power options offered that year. It has climate control, power front bucket seats, console, beautiful leather upholstery and wire wheels. Not only do they call it "pristine", but they also say it runs and drives excellent. You will find it in the COL Low Miles Section among all the cars that have been preserved with only limited use. Many of these cars are like brand new.

North Shore Classics, a classic car dealer out of Mundelein, Illinois, posted a 1964 Ford Thunderbird for sale this week. Although it looks great in the photos, they tell us it is a project car that would be a fun project to restore. You will see in the photos that there is some rust that will need to be repaire, the interior needs work on the headliner and the paint is just average quality. The price is right, though, and it would be a good project for the right buyer.

We get some pretty good PRICE REDUCED feature cars here to show you in the newsletter. But this week's is amazing. The price on this 1954 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe was just dropped by 50 percent this week. The private party seller from Selbyville, Delaware tells us it is in mint condition, having been garage kept. He says it comes with a 331 Hemi engine with a 4-barrel. He was askinig $50,000 when he first advertised the car. But this week he dropped the price to $25,000.

"You can't get more Mopar than a 1970 Plum Crazy Hemi Challenger," says Classical Gas Motors in Texas. They listed this 1970 Dodge Challenger Hemi R/T Convertible tribute for sale. They beleive only nine actual Hemi R/T convertibles were actually built. So this one is a clone that is a real "factory fresh" look you so want to own. A private collector from Williston, Vermont is selling his 1973 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus, a car right out of the muscle car era. It has the ultra reliable 318 ci V8 Mopar engine. The seller says it runs and drives, In fact, he says the automatic transmission runs smooth. According to his description, "Everything works, including aftermarket stereo. Power front disc brakes, power steering and bucket seats. From the decription we would take it that this car is a "driver class" car with some issues with the paint and touch ups. You should have it inspected before you buy it to get a clear idea of what this car is about. But it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday ... the asking price is only $18,500.

This one should get your attention if you are a Model A fan. A rare 1929 Ford Model A Phaeton is available in running and driving condition. It is being offered for sale by Gullwing Motor Cars out of Astoria, New York. They tell us it would make a wonderful weekend driver. Yellow with a black interior, it is said to have had a quality restoration. Although the restoration was done some years ago now, it is still in shape to be taken to local driving events and summer tours. Gullwing calls it a wonderful opportunity to own an open Model A Touring car. It has the inline four-cylinder engine with a three-speed manual transmission. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday because the asking price is $19,900.

As aging Baby Boomers move out of their homes and downsize, opportunities like this one open up for the rest of us. Here is a 1964 Ford Falcon Spring Convertible with an NOM 260 ci V8 engine. The private seller from Minnesota says he no longer has the space to store it. It was originally a six cylinder car. He says it runs and drives well, with new shocks on all four corners. According to the ad description, it is clean everywhere with no rust. In fact, the car spent most of its life in a museum. The seller says its not perfect, but it is clean. You could have it inspected before you buy it. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. The asking price is $13,000.

Ford came out with a radical new design for their 1952 through 1954 production cars. That culminated in this 1954 Ford Crestline Victoria. The Crestline was the top-of-the-line at Ford that year. The interior dash featured an Astra-Dial control panel with a speedometer housing which had a sunlit transparent panel on top. Lift the hood and you would find a 239 ci Y-block V8 which replaced the Flathead. This one has been in the same family for 15 years. They recently consigned it to Midwest Car Exchange in Alsip, Illinois, now showing it for sale. They say it has a rock solid body and very clean underside. Read the ad copy at the link to find out some of the flaws in this car. But it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Tuesday. The asking price is $15,900.

Get a good idea of what you are looking at here. This is the first-year 1930 Chevrolet Universal AD Special, upgraded in power and performance from the 1929 Chevrolets. Because of the recession of 1929 due to the stock market crash, sales were down that year. However this particular AD Special was carefully restored in 1999. It is being offered for sale at the Classic Auto Mall in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. They say the car was redone in "mostly original and NOS parts, you can't ask for a better version of the AD Special....1930 never looked so good." Many more Fords have survived from this period than Chevrolets which makes this one very desirable. It will be our DEAL of the DAY at midweek. The asking price is $18,000.

The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow was, in many respects, the most popular Rolls-Royce model ever produced. There were more of them produced than any other model. The Silver Shadow II was produced from 1977 untill 1980. This is a 1978 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II is being offered for sale at Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles, CA. Black with a red interior, it comes equipped with an automatic transmission, air conditioning, power windows, power steering, steel wheels, and Rolls-Royce hub caps. Beverly HIlls Car Club tells us it is "an original California car that is offered in this elegant color combination and is mechanically sound." It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is $16,750.

Service vehicles such as ambulances and funeral home flower cars are sometimes the best buys among collector cars. The reason is they usually have very low miles. Here is a good example. This 1969 Pontiac Catalina Station Wagon was used as a flower car. The private party owner is from West Friendship, Maryland. He notes that it is a 6-passenger station wagon equipped with a 400 ci 2-barrel and automatic 3-speed transmission. The description says it has 54,435 original miles. He says the "car rides and handles like it should." You should have it isnpected before you buy, but hurry. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next Friday, if it lasts that long. The asking price is $12,500.
