Which cars are most likely to continue going up in value in this collector car market? The pundits have been critical of lower prices on classic Ferraris and Jaguars lately, but we find that the automotive press reacts to news only after the trends have already happened. Looking forward we suspect that collectors will once again drive prices on classic 1960's and 1970's Ferraris through the roof.
This week a 1967 Ferrari 330 GTS was listed for sale by Gullwing Motor Cars out of New York. They call it a stunning numbers matching example. It was the 28th car produced in the 330 GTS series by Ferrari. They only made 100 of these spiders (convertibles). The 300 GTS model was introduced at the Paris Salon in 1966. Its interior featured leather seats and electric windows as standard, with a radio, air conditioning and Borrani wire wheels as optional equipment. The 330 series was noted for its quieter engine and its road manners. It had a radio as a standard feature. Prior Ferrari engines were so loud you couldn't hear a radio anyway.
The factory said the top speed was 150 miles per hour. When you consider the excellent handling, Ferrari was not wrong when it said the 300 GTS was the "world's finest convertible two-seater."
You'll find out much more about this car's show car history on today's MyDreamCar.online blog. Gullwing Motor Cars gave us some insight on which shows this car was featured at. This is a famous car. Then use the comment box below the story to tell us if you've seen it at one of the national events it was shown at. We love to hear your stories.

If you are in Italy this month, the City of Trieste is having its automotive Concours D' Elegance, May 14-16, 2021. The Concorso di Eleganza Città di Trieste celebrates vintage cars and the beauty of the city
of Trieste with a world class display of classic cars in the Piazza Unità d’Italia. This is where you will see truly classic sports cars on display. We found it interesting that one of the cars they featured on their posters was an American bred 1911 Marion Bobcat Model 33 Speedster. Harry C. Stutz was the chief engineer at Marion, an automotive company in Indianapolis, early in his career. This car was sold at a Bonham Auction in Paris in 2013. It is a predecessor to the legendary Stutz Bearcat. There is no indication as to how it wound up in Europe. But we bet there is a great story behind it. Find out more when you read the Cars-On-Line Car Show Calendar online. More car show venues are opening up little by little this year.
We hope you were able to follow the recent Raleigh Classic Car Auction this past weekend. Results from these auctions continue to auger hope that collector car prices are on the rise once again. Pricing during the pandemic had gotten a little spotty. But this past week at the Raleigh Classic we saw classic Camaros and Corvettes getting good bids. This 1969 Camaro Z/28 RS Cross Ram sold for $97,500 in a post-auction transaction. That is encouraging. You can read our Raleigh Classic Auction report by clicking this link. Photos of the cars and their prices are recorded in the Slider on that page. We think the collector car market is poised for a comeback in 2021 and 2022.
Cars-On-Line advertisers know how much we like it when they tell us about their sales. We love to see those SOLD signs all over our website. This week a collector from Menifee, California told us he SOLD his 1970 Chevy C10 Custom Shortbed thru a Cars-On-Line Run Till Sold ad. "I tried to sell it on an online auction," he told us. "They kept pressuring me, telling me to lower my price. But I didn't want to do that. So I waited for my buyer on Cars-On-Line, and I got my price." Now he knows why we always say... "You can advertise anywhere ... but you can sell on Cars-On-Line." Wow! Click this link to view a list of the cars and trucks that SOLD this week on Cars-On-Line.com. You will be amazed.

This week, Gullwing Motor Cars also has found a legendary 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage to feed your inner James Bond fantasy. It is one of only 149 original left-hand drive Vantage spec DB6's produced. They say it remains a matching numbers example. It was fully restored by a well-known Aston Martin expert. It comes with rare factory air conditioning. The engine was updated to high compression 4.2 liter fast road specifications when it was rebuilt, including triple weber carburetors and large bore airbox with high performance air filter, large bore stainless steel headers and exhaust system. Notice the Dayton wire wheels. Gullwing calls it a superb driver class Aston Martin. Find dozens of fresh finds from Gullwing Motor Cars in the New Listings below.
Many of our readers wonder what makes these resto mod muscle cars so desirable that they get six figure bids at big national auctions. This 1969 Camaro SS Resto Mod is a great example of a quality resto mod muscle car that deserves big money. It has been listed for sale by Fast Lane Classic Cars in St Charles, Missouri. They tell us it was completed in 2020 by Thornton Autoworks with 1,400 hours in the build and over $250,000 spent on the restoration. It has a Heidts Pro-G independent rear suspension, custom 20”/18” Circle Racing Billett aluminum wheels, House of Kolor Candy Apple Red vver Cinder Red Metallic paint, and special painted-in Pearl White Hockey stripes. The engine is a GM Performance 6.2 Liter LS3 430 horsepower V8. It is what everybody wants in a resto mod ... a classic look with modern power, drivetrain and suspension.
Cruisin Classics in Ohio just listed a 1968 Camaro RS Convertible with just the right equipment to make it a great driver quality find for a muscle car enthusiast. See how clean the interior shows with console gauges and wood steering wheel. It comes with convertible top cover and nice wheels. You can inspect everything from the door jams to the engine compartment. Listen to the rumble of the healthy sounding 350 small block. With the Emerald Green custom paint, it is a stunning head turner on the street. Click the video window above and take it for a test drive.

The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the DEAL of the DAY feature on the Cars On Line homepage. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the homepage!
The muscle car era Pontiac Trans Ams are just now getting a good look from car collectors. If you are looking for a car that will go up in value over the next ten years, a 1970's Trans Am is as good a bet as any. It just so happens that Unique Specialty & Classic Cars in Mankato, Minnesota has listed a 1976 Pontiac Trans Am for sale this week. It is nicely priced at $26,900. Click here to watch an interesting "walk-around" video and hear it run. Unique has some extra information in the video that you won't get by just reading the ad. They call this one a "driver" class car with some blemishes here and there. They will point out some of the problems in the video. But it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Satuday. Don't wait too long on this one.
Not only do the photos on this 1950 Plymouth Deluxe Business Coupe look good in the ad, but the price is right too. The ad does not have a lot of background information about the car. The seller is economizing on words but the photos do a good job of giving you the information you want. The Virginia collector who is selling the car is a private party seller. He says it has new tires, new seat covers and good paint with "no rust, all chrome shiney." With a three-on-a-tree manual transmission, he says it runs great, and has "good paint." It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. The asking price is only $10,000.
Here is one of those cars you should definitely check out. It is a 1972 Triumph TR6 Roadster that is still in the ownership of the person who had it restored. He is a private party seller from Fayetteville, Georgia. He says the engine, transmission and rear end was rebuilt by a well-known British car mechanic. He acquired the interior from Prestige Auto Trim in the UK. It has a roll bar. The seller says the car was in a fender-bender in 2018, and the insurance comany only had it valued at $10,000 at the time. He had over $18,000 invested. So he is selling it now for less. He says the car is mechanically sound. And he adds, "You will not be disapponted." It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. The asking price is only $15,000.
Anything with the name Chevelle on it is selling these days. Here is a 1971 Chevelle with a big block 454 engine and SS trim. It may be a tribute, but it is a nice one. It is being offered for sale by MGM Classic Cars in Addison, Illinois. Man, they really move the muscle cars out of that place. It has a TH400 automatic transmission, 12-bolt rear end and is a drive class car. But it's a Chevelle! Click here to view a walk-around video and hear it run. It will be our DEAL of the DAY early next week. The asking price is $27,514. Hurry! This one may not last the weekend!
Here is a car you will never see in our DEAL of the DAY feature. It is a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria. Offered for sale this week by Classical Gas Motors in Texas, they say it is totally stock original. In fact, they call it a "survivor" in their ad copy. The reason everybody loves a Crown Victoria is the roofline. Ford's designers fitted the B pillar with a wide stainless band which gave it a sleek appearance, making it stand out against your typical plain roofed passenger cars. They say it still has its red over white paint and all the chrome that comes with this car. Click here to watch a walk-around video and hear it run. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is $22,500.
Well, they've done it again. Beverly Hills Car Club has come up with a 1965 Mustang Convertible that is priced way below the average sales price on these cars. Of course, you must realize that this particular Mustang has an inline 6 cylinder motor and is not a V8. It is available in the factory Caspian Blue color code with a blue interior. It comes equipped with an automatic transmission, power soft top and Whiteline tires. Beverly Hills Car Club says it is mechanically sound. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week because the sales price is set at $19,750.
Ford Sunliner convertibles are gaining in visibility in today's collector car market. Here is one you don't see that often, a 1961 Ford Galaxie Sunliner with a 352 ci engine, 4-barrel Holley carb and manual transmission. It is being offered for sale by a private party seller from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He says it runs strong. The ad description indicates that it has original sheet metal in "good condition with a nice interior and good chrome." He says the floors and frame are solid with no patches. And he says the 96,500 miles showing on the odometer appear to be original. It will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week. The asking price is $18,000.
Often there are more cars that deserve to be in the DEAL of the DAY than we can schedule for our front page feature. Here is a list of cars that just missed the cut for the DEAL of the DAY this week. Remember, you saw them here first:
