When we first saw this car at the Iola Car Show we knew it was something very special. This pristine example of a 1963 Mercury Monterey S-55 Sport Sedan was one of only 1,203 produced. But we found out that only 50 were made like this one with the 390 ci Marauder engine. At the time we saw it then it only had 6,400 miles from new.
That was in 2010 that we spotted this beauty at the Iola Show. Now, just this week, the very same car shows up in our Mercury Section for sale. The private party seller from Michigan is parting with this museum bound treasure. He says it still only has 7,200 original miles. He says it has the paperwork to verify its authenticity. The Henry Ford Museum has looked at the car and given it high praise as a survivor. It should not be lost on our readers that, in addition to its rarity, it is also what Mercury collectors call a Breezeway car. It has the power operated roll down back window.
As is the case with all great collector cars, this one has a great story behind it. Click through to read about it on our MyDreamCar.online blog post. There is also a short history of the Breezeway cars from Mercury. Then tell us about your Mercury Breezeway stories in the comments section below the article. We love to hear your stories.

The Lakeland Winter Auction powered by Carlisle Auctions is streaming live right now. This is just what the doctor ordered for car collectors. There are not enough collector car events to attend this year. This one you can watch on your cell phone or laptop. The Lakeland Winter Auction started today, February 19, and will run through Saturday, February 20. We will be hosting an auction watching party on our ClassiCarNews.com blog page tomorrow. We have posted a preview of the cars that will run through the auction on Saturday. Follow our auction report there, or watch for our posts on the Cars-On-Line Facebook page. We'll post some of the important cars before they cross the auction block, and our readers can comment on them and see if they can guess what they will sell for.
Our newsletter readers know how much we appreciate it when advertisers tell us about their sales. Last week Moritz from Avondale, Arizona placed a $45.00 Run Until Sold ad. Just a few days after posting the 1963 Chevy Nova SS Convertible it SOLD! "Fast posting. Quick sale. Great experience with Cars On Line.com," he wrote in his comments when he notified us that his Nova was SOLD. Now Moritz knows why we always say ... "You can advertise anywhere ... but you can sell on Cars-On-Line." Click this link to view a list of the cars and trucks marked SOLD this week on Cars-On-Line.com.

When this real deal 1969 COPO Camaro 427 was listed by MGM Classic Cars in Addison, Illinois we almost over looked it. Then we saw the Certificate of Authenticity from Camaro Hi Performance, Inc. the company Jerry MacNeish founded to perform Camaro inspections, and we knew it was an actual Code 9561 COPO Camaro with the L72 427 engine. In the description they say it was sold new at Reedman Chevrolet in Langhorn, Pennsylvania. It had a nut and bolt rotisserie restoration completed in 2017. It is equipped with a Winters aluminum intake, 4-barrel carburetor, ZL2-design air-cleaner and dual exhaust. The Muncie 4-speed transfers power to the ground through a 4.10 Posi rear end. A restoration done to this detail is a monumental effort. Read all about it in the ad copy.
Here is a car so rare you may never see another in this country in your lifetime. Connors Motorcar Company in West Chester, Pennsylvania has listed a 1948 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Cabriolet for sale this week. It is a right hand drive version and has been fully restored. Notice the excellent red leather interior, handsome wood accents and brilliant chrome. You have to see these photos. (Click the link to view high resolution photos.) You can tell by the undercarriage that it has been restored and cared for. It has a 2.5 liter dual overhead cam 95 HP 6 cylinder engine with a 3-speed transmission. What a pleasure it would be to drive this on Sunday afternoons.
Here is an interesting video that shows off just how much power a Hennessey Performance package adds to this 2017 Camaro 2SS base car. After it was purchased new it was sent to Hennessey Performance in Texas. They updated it with their HPE 750 performance package. See how it matches up against a Dodge Challenger Hellcat. This is a must see video. And, oh yeah, this car is for sale. Find out more about this 2017 Hennessey Camaro HPE 750 on the ad page.

A private seller from Cloquet, Minnesota has just listed this incredible 1978 Corvette Silver Anniversary sports car with such low miles, it almost isn't broke in yet. He says it has only 1,100 original miles. That's amazing. Totally original except for the Gymkhana suspension, it has an L82 engine and M21 4-speed transmission. What a find!

With a blown 454 BBC, Fatman Mustang II front end and full tubs, this 1953 Blown Chevy Sedan is a cool custom. The private seller from New York says it will need a little finishing work to make it streetable. But it has a 6-point roll cabe, 4-link coilovers, 9-inch 3.70 gears and Ron Francis wiring harness, and so much more. This is a lotta' car for the money.

The high horsepower Corvettes of the mid-1960's are a gift from Zora Duntov, head of Corvette engineering in those days. He tuned Corvettes to be near race ready right out of the factory. This 1964 Corvette from Utah is a great example. But this week the seller made this one a very special deal. He was originally asking $65,000 for his 327/365 hp original Corvette. Just this week he reduced the price to $58,000.

The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the DEAL of the DAY feature on the Cars On Line homepage. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the homepage!
A white 1973 Corvette Stingray Coupe was listed by American Classics Auto Trader this week. They have been moving some of these 1970's Corvettes lately and this one is priced right. From the ad copy we find out that it is said to be numbers matching, with a 5.7L 350 small block Chevy engine, automatic transmission, air conditioning and T-Tops. Corvettes are the Gold Standard for the collector car economy. So when this one was listed for under $20,000 we took note. Of course, the value all depends on condition, so only a pre-purchase inspection will be able to determine that for you. But it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday. The asking price is $17,998.
Our newsletter readers know what we always say about first generation T-Birds ... If you can find one for under $30,000, you should probably buy it. Of course, it all depends on being in nice No. 3 condition. So here is a 1957 Ford Thunderbird being offered for sale by Classic & Collectible Cars of Las Vegas. It comes with lots of options including air conditioning and power steering, power brakes. It also has the porthole auxiliary hardtop. They say this was originally a dual quad E Bird making it very desirable. Yet, they are only asking $26,500. Hurry on this one, bcause it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday.
This 1950 Ford Custom Deluxe just has that extra nice look and stance that you can only hope for in an old classic. Offered for sale this week by Streetside Classics out of Fort Worth, Texas, it is a very original old Ford. The shoebox Ford with a flathead Six motor is a nice running car, they tell us. This tudor sedan has those fender skirts that really set this car off nice. Be sure to look at the dozens of detailed photos in the ad. Click here to view a walk-around video and hear it run. There is a lot to like here. But best of all it is very affordable. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. The asking price is $17,995.
Beverly Hills Car Club has a few interesting "bargain priced" cars in today's DEALs of the Day Feature. Here is a 1979 Corvette with subtle flames (you can barely see them in the photos.) The car is black with purple flames and a T-bar roof. It has a 350 Chevy engine, automatic transmission, power windows, power steering and 4-wheel disc brakes. As they often note, this one is "mechanically sound." This would be an excellent car to have a pre-purchase inspection. But hurry! It will be our DEAL of the DAY on early next week. The asking price is $16,750.
Talk about "a lotta' car for the money." That's a phrase we use a lot in this feature. This 1977 Lincoln Continental is the epitome of that phrase. The Mark V Lincoln They say it has a $12,000 paint job in Diamond Fire yellow finish. Just look at the photos of the interior, Gold and Oyster leather seats, chrome hardware, woodgrain trim, and thick pile carpets with Mark V Lincoln insignia carpet floor mats. So clean. It is being offered for sale at Coast Motor Company in Palmetto, Florida. This little car company could use a fresh sale. Be sure to check this one out. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. The asking price is only $12,995.
Here is another Florida car being offered for sale by American Classics Auto Trader at their Pompano Beach location. They say this 1985 Mercedes-Benz 380 SL is in excellent condition, and that the car's history show regular service. It has new tires and front wheel bearings. They say it runs and drives excellent. This would be a good car to have a pre-purchase inspection done before you buy. If it passes the inspection to your liking it has a very attractive price tag. You could help out this small classic car dealer by checking out this one. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is only $8,988.
Here is another one from Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles, California. They specialize in older classic cars that have been forgotten in storage garages in the greater Los Angeles area. They say 1960 Austin Healey 3000 BT7 is "mechanically sound." The original California car is available in black with silver coves and a red interior. It comes equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission, dual carburetors, soft top, side curtains. front-wheel disc brakes and wire wheels. They do note that the paint has some checking. This is another one on which you should have a pre-purchase inspection done. But hurry! These deals don't last long. The asking price is $29,950. (Fully restored these will go for over $80,000 at national auctions.)
Often there are more cars that deserve to be in the DEAL of the DAY than we can schedule for our front page feature. Here is a list of cars that just missed the cut for the DEAL of the DAY this week. Remember, you saw them here first:
