With the unmistakable lopey cackle of the LS6 motor, a 1970 Chevelle SS 454/450 rumbles onto the video screen of Cars-On-Line's Chevelle Section this week. These cars were famous during the 1970 muscle car wars when automotive manufacturers vied for dominance on drag strips all over the U.S. and Canada. It was Chevrolet’s top muscle car offering ever, and one of the Top 10 Best Muscle Cars of all time.
This week a prime example of the LS6 Chevelle 454 is being offered for sale by Fast Lane Classic Cars in St Charles, Missouri. They note that this 1970 Chevelle SS LS6 454/450 is numbers matching with a Muncie “Rock Crusher” M22 4-speed transmission, 12-bolt rearend with 3.31:1 Posi, and impeccable documentation. The paperwork includes an original window sticker, original build sheet, Protect-O-Plate and owners manual. You can see photos of the documentation on the ad page here.
An extensive restoration was performed, finished in the correct Forest Green colors with correct Dark Green bench seat interior. The car has power steering, power disc brakes, and the original LS6 454 was rebuilt at a cost of $11,000. It also comes with the "day and night" rear view mirror, padded dash, Rally gauges, and front and rear seat belts. Check the equipment with the copy of the build sheet in the photos.
You may want to read a short history of the LS6 Chevelle 454 and see why we say it is the equal of the legendary Hemi 426. Follow this link to our MyDreamCar.online blog to read the article and see a walk-around video to hear that unmistakable LS6 sound. Then let us in on your favorite Chevelle stories in the comments section below the article. We love to here your "muscle car war" stories.

As you read this the top cars are crossing the auction block at the Fall Carlisle Auction in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. It is a very good sale today. We will be watching as the 1926 Wills St Clair Roadster (see photo) and the 1970 Boss 302 Mustang come up for sale. For a look at what sold on Thursday follow this link to the Fall Carlisle Auction 2020 report online. Our photo Journalist Bob Boberg of eClassicAutos is on site and will have plenty of photos and prices for you later this evening. Man, it's just good to be able to get back to a real car show. The auction is part of the Fall Carlisle Collector Car Flea Market, Car Corral and Auction, this weekend, September 30-October 4, 2020. It is being held at the Carlisle Fairgrounds.
Our readers know how we love it when they tell us about their sales. And this was a very heavy sales week. More cars are selling now than ever before. In fact, a private seller from Normangee, Texas contacted us this week to let us know he had SOLD his 1957 Chevy Bel Air 2-Door Hardtop. He was so kind as to tell us that Cars-On-Line was the "best site to buy or sell," in his words. "Thanks Cars On Line!" Now he knows why we always say, "You can advertise anywhere ... but you can sell on Cars-On-Line." For a look at some of the cars that SOLD this week, follow this link to the SOLD Section below.

Recently released from a respected private collection, this 1949 Buick Roadmaster Series 70 Convertible is a very desirable classic. Buick collectors will note the stunning finish and "spectacular" restoration. It is being presented here by Daniel Schmitt & Company from St. Louis, Missouri. The color is Carlsbad Black with a black folding convertible top in red piping. Daniel Schmitt & Company notes that it still has just 43,939 miles on the odometer, believed to be original to the car. They say it is one of the best examples left today. To many, this Roadmaster is an iconic reminder of an era of American history. It will evoke the true passions of the collector experience.
First seen at the Milwaukee 150 Indy Car race in June of 1981, this 1981 AMC AMX Turbo Pace Car was one of the five pace cars for the PPG Indy Car World Series in 1981. It is a special piece of American Motors history since it is the only one ever made. That's right, a "one-of-one" AMX Turbo built on the AMC Spirit platform. It made its rounds through the U.S. in 1981 as one of the five official Pace Cars for the 14-race PPG series. PPG built a special Pace Car from each of the five major American automotive companies back in 1981. This car was personally owned by AMC Vice President of Design, Richard Teague. This week it is being offered for sale by American Classic Autotrader in Lantana, Florida. Hurry on this one. It will sell pretty quickly as rare as it is.
Southern Motors out of Clarkston, Michigan used an interesting video ad to present this beautiful 1967 Camaro RS/SS 427 for sale. An RS/SS tribute, it has the big block 427 (512) engine with a polished Holley Performance dual feed 4-barrel, polished aluminum intake, ractangular port heads, ceramic headers, and chrome air cleaner and valve covers. In the video you'll see the bucket seats, Hurst shifter and console. When a video is done right, it becomes a video inspection. See how the new quarters are straight and true. They say they added more gear. Now it performs amazing.

Streetside Classics in Nashville, Tennessee listed a 1972 Chevrolet Nova for sale this week at a very interesting price point. In fact, this one is so cheap, anyone could buy it. This is an "everyman's" classic. They tell us it is a strong running Nova with custom paint and silver SS stripe package. See the 14-inch Centerline wheels on wide raised white letter tires in the photos. Under the hood is a numbers matching 307 ci V8 with long tube headers and a Borla dual exhaust. They say it drives out nice, the two-speed automatic transmission shifts smooth. These Novas are so popular, and this one looks good as well. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday. The asking price is only $16,995. Hurry!
This stock original type 1931 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan is so cheap, I would not be surprised to see it sell to an overseas buyer. The private seller from Cushing, Oklahoma tells us this is a very good example of an original Model A. He says it starts and runs and drives as it should. Turn signals have been added and the Mitchell overdrive is not orignal to the car, but they greatly enhance the driving experience. The rest is all original and all Henry's steel . The seller says the paint, glass and upholstery are very good. The paint color is called Chicle Drab over a Copra Drab tutone effect. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. The asking price is only $17,750. No inflation in these prices.
A private seller from Madison, Wisconsin has listed his 1959 Chevrolet Apache Pickup for sale. From looking at the photos in the ad it looks sharp and has all the chrome you want in a 1950's style ride. The seller says it will cruise at 65 mph with no problem and runs smooth. He says the motor was rebuilt within 5,000 miles and remains excellent. He says the turn signals, headlights, brake lights, oil gauge, temp gauge, gas gauge and voltmeter all work. While the paint is about 10 years old it still shines nicely as you can see in the photos. Doors shut tight and the interior is said to be comfortable. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. The asking price is only $17,000. Wow!
Here is a rare 1960 Chevrolet Brookwood Station Wagon being offered for sale at Legendary Motors in Rowley, Massachusetts. Considered the second generation (1959-1960) of Brookwood; Chevrolet again came up with a totally new car. From the front or the rear these Chevrolets resembled nothing else on the road. From the low front headlights to the wing shaped tailfins, it resembles the Impala, only with station wagon capacity. Although it was restored in 2009, it was in storage too long and it no longer looks new. Here is a link to their video walk-around inspection. They say it runs well with a rebuilt motor. It will be our DEAL of the DAY early next week. The asking price is $15,900.
Are you from the West Coast? Do you remember the "Silver Bullet" 1963 Dodge Polara 500 super stock race car? It has been a drag car nearly all of its life. It was raced with its original steel body panels and original interior. The owner has had it for 25 years now. He says even the carpet is original. Always stored, it gets out to race now and again. It has been featured in magazines and racing posters. He says it has been painted one time over 30 years ago, and it still looks nice. Now has a healthy pump gas 440 aluminum head engine. He says it is very street friendly today (although it might still tear up a race track.) It will be our DEAL of the DAY because his asking price is only $23,000. I think you'll agree, that is a lotta' car for the money!
For the right buyer, this 1954 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe Tudor will be an important find. It is being offered by a private seller from Knox, Indiana. There is a lot to love about this classic luxury car, but the seller says it will need minor repair to get it on the road again. He says it is a super clean classic with a 331 Hemi engine, factory 4-barrel carburetor and automatic transmission. It also came with power brakes, and is a California car in "near mint condition." He says the glass is perfect and the 2-Door Coupe has a "mint interior." This one would be hard to find in rust free condition like this. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price now is just $15,500.
Oh, my, here is a really sharp looking 1963 Chevy C-10 Fleetside Pickup being offered for sale by a private collector in Winchester, Virginia. He says it has never been modifield or chopped up, and remains in original condition with a beautiful interior and dash. What's more, he says it runs great. It now has all new brakes, tires, shocks, and springs. And he says everything works, including the heater, defrost, wipers, lights and horn. He notes that there is some rust showing in the hood, but otherwise has a beautiful body. The glass windows roll up and down easily and the doors open and shut nice. All the stainless is beautiful. This is a nice find, especially for the price. It will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week. The asking price is $13,900.
