"Ask the man who owns one" ... was the logo for Packard back in the day. The name Packard was a synonym for quality. Even today this 1936 Packard Twelve Model 1408 Convertible Sedan is a stunning piece of automotive artwork. This Dietrich styled convertible sedan is very rare and one of only a few to survive.
Packard aficionados might remember this Twelve convertible from the Packard Centennial celebration in Warren, Ohio in 1999. It is being offered for sale this week at Classic Promenade, a collector car dealer in Phoenix, Arizona. They tell us the odometer reads just 78,750 miles, and that is thought to be original to the car. The Hartz cloth top was recently installed. It sports a 473 ci Packard Twelve engine from which the car gets its name. They also note how the 3-speed manual transmission shifts so smoothly.
The history of this Packard can be documented back to the mid-1970’s, where it benefited from a cosmetic restoration by the owners. It is currently being offered out of a collection in New Mexico. The Packard Twelves are some of the most commanding and smooth driving motorcars of the era. Find out more history on this offering when you visit the MyDreamCar.online blog.

This week we are welcoming a new member of our Classic Car Dealer Network, a dealer in Gurnee, Illinois called Blackhawk Motors. We noticed that they have a few Pontiac Trans Ams for sale. This gold edition 1978 Pontiac Trans Am has the Fisher T-tops and comes with Honeycomb wheels and a build sheet. It is typical of the inventory at Blackhawk's shop over on Estes Street in Gurnee. Watch their inventory for Chevelles and Chevy C10 Pickups. You have to grab them when they are availalbe though because they sell them fast. Their pitch is that they sell "Honest Classic Cars." Check out their fresh listings in the New LIstings today.

No expense was spared on the restoration of this 1969 Yenko Camaro tribute car. From the blueprinted 496 ci motor to the Tremec TKO 600 5-speed conversion from Hurst Driveline Conversions, this was a special build. It is being offered for sale by P.J.'s Auto World in Clearwater, Florida this week. With heavy duty clutch, SFI rated flywheel, harmonic balancer and long tube steel headers, even a real Yenko can't perform like this.

The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the DEAL of the DAY feature on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You'll always see them here first though.
Here is a very interesting find. It is a 1981 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo NASCAR Daytona Pace Car, one of only about 2,000 built that year. The private seller from North Carolina tells us it has just over 49k miles showing and comes in its original paint. It was with its original femaile owner until about 5 years ago. He says the car looks really good for its age, and that all of the accessories appear to be in working order. He states that the interior, trunk area and engine compartment all look extra nice. There are a few cosmetic itrems to consider. But this one will be our featured DEAL of the DAY this week. The asking price is only $18,500.
If you thought only Elvis could own a Pink Cadillac, think again. Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles, California just posted a 1957 Cadillac Coupe DeVille in its orignial color which is called Mountain Laurel, and has a '50s style pink and black tutone interior. Wow! It comes equipped with an automatic transmission with a strong V8 engine, air conditioning, OEM radio, power windows, power steering, power seats, power trunk, solid wheels with white line tires, and includes the jack. Beverly Hills Car Club says that is an original West Coast car which is mechanically sound. Be prepared to have it inspected before you buy. But hurry! This one won't last long. It will be our DEAL of the DAY priced at $23,500.
It was one of America's first two-seater sports cars. In the 1950's the American automobile manufacturers were aware that there was a need for a real sports car here in the U.S. When the 1955 Ford Thunderbird appeared on the automotive scene it was lauded as a symbol of a young American progressive spirit. Ford sold 23 times more Thunderbirds than Chevrolet's Corvette. This one is being offered for sale by Classic Promenade in Phoenix, Arizona. With a recent restoration, it retains a 292 ci V8 and manual transmission with overdrive. The red paint has been redone recently, according to the description. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday because the asking price is only $29,800.
This is a classic Studebaker that collectors should take a look at. It is a 1948 Studebaker Champion Regal Starlight Coupe, a very desirable model. The private seller from Topock, Arizona describes it as an "exeptional rust free Arizona" car from an estate. The motor is fresh, as is the clutch, transmission with Hill Holder and overdrive, as well as the entire suspension, brakes and steering. Take a look at the body and paint. We think you will be surprised. The black paint tells the story. The seller notes some minor cosmetics that will need attention in the ad copy. It will be our DEAL of the DAY early next week. The asking price is only $13,995.
This is not a new trend, but it is still a growing market. Custom Jeeps are still hot, and a growing number of millenials are interested in this market. You don't very often find a deal this good however. Look at this 2001 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with all the off-road extras. So much of the Jeep has already been restored. It addition it now has Burela exhaust, Rubicon Express 4.5' long arm suspension kit, Dana 44 rear axle, ARB Air Lockers front and rear, onboard compressor, full under body skid plates, sway bar disconnects and bushings. And there is so much new in the suspension, including a lift and off-road lighting. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is only $16,995.
Plymouth's Valiant was one of Chrysler's best sellers back in the day. It was a lower priced offering that kept Plymouth salesmen busy. This week Motorcar Studio has listed a 1964 Plymouth Valiant Convertible which was owned by a same family since it was new. Seven years ago it was purchased by a second cousin who knew the car. It has an older repaint in correct red. Motorcar Studio calls it a drive quality car. Click here to view a walk-around video they did. They say the convertible top is nearly new, tires are good, excellent bumpers, grille, wheel covers, trim and glass. They talk about lots of recent work completed in the ad. It will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week. The asking price is $11,900.
This 1966 Chevy C10 Pickup really looks good in the photos. In reality it may be more of a project than it looks. Chicago Car Club, a collector car dealer in Chicago, has it for sale this week. They say it "sat for the last five years ... could use a once-over before becoming a daily driver." As it sits now, the truck will run and drive and stop well. With the long bed and strong-running 350 V8, it makes for a useful, purposeful pickup the way it is now. Click here for an extensive walk-around inspection. Then read the ad as Chicago Car Club describes the interior, exterior and mechanicals in datail. You can also have this truck inspected before you buy. However, it will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week. They are offering it for $13,900.
Often there are more cars that deserve to be in the DEAL of the DAY than we can schedule for our front page feature. Here is a list of cars that just missed the cut for the DEAL of the DAY this week. Remember, you saw them here first:
