Ford Motor Company’s 1969 Ford Torino Talladega was the first aerodynamic factory production car to be homologated for NASCAR competition. There were only 750 of these Torino Talladegas ever produced. It remains one of the rarest cars of the muscle car era.
That is why collectors will be thrilled to view dozens of detailed photos and a video of this 1969 Ford Torino Talladega in rare Presidential Blue paint. The good people at Vanguard Motor Sales in Plymouth, Michigan have it for sale this week in the Ford Muscle Car Section of the Cars-On-Line website. This Talladega has been rotisserie restored and is sporting a beautifully straight body, 14'' wheels, Firestone F70-14 Wide Oval tires, Competition Black painted hood and rear tail panel. Under the hood they say you will find a numbers matching Ford 428ci Cobra Jet V8 engine with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor. Power is sent to the rear tires through a numbers matching Ford C6 3-speed automatic transmission and a Ford 9'' rear end. Watch the walk-around video to see how it drives with power steering and power front disc brakes.
The car you see here comes with a framed Marti Report, original order packet, window sticker, owners manual, Warranty Fact Booklet and its original trim tag.
Find the video and a complete history on the Ford Torino Talladegas in this week's feature in the MyDreamCar.online blog. Few cars have had so much impact in the short time that the Talladegas were produced. After you read the history of the Talladegas, tell us your NASCAR or Talladega stories in the Comments section at the bottom of the page.

This week we wanted to give a shout out to Vince Taliano and his Cadillac & LaSalle Club Potomac Region. For many years we've been reading their Caddy Chronicle, a well-written and well-read Cadillac club newsletter. In these times, the newsletter is what keeps their club together and in communication with the world. They just published their July 2020 edition of the Caddy Chronicle. You may want to enjoy a good read. Click here for a .pdf of the Caddy Chronicle. They tell us people from all over the world read this publication. There are some really interesting stories and a lot of Cadillac history to delve into every month.
It seems that the general public is not aware that COVID-19 has not dampened the enthusiasm for collector and specialty cars. People keep asking us how cars are selling. They are shocked to find out that collector cars are selling better than ever.
Johnny from Bastrop, Louisiana said he SOLD his beautiful 1931 Ford Roadster using our $45.00 Run Until Sold Ad. "Sold one car and purchased another vehicle from Cars On Line!" he told us. He had a great price on his Brookville steel body custom. Our readers know a good deal when they see one. Now Johnny knows why we always say, "You can advertise anywhere ... but you can sell on Cars-On-Line." For a look at all the cars that SOLD this week, follow this link to the SOLD Section below.
We would like to remind our readers to take advantage of our COL Inspection Service. Our inspectors will do a pre-purchase inspection and appraisal of any car you want to buy. They will be able to give you a good idea of the condition class which determines the value. This is the safest way for you to buy collector cars these days. Please, stay healthy out there.

A California family is selling their original 1953 Buick Skylark Convertible this week. This is a great story. It was purchased new by a family member and remained in the family possession all these years. The seller says he has the original Bill of Sale, GMAC loan papers, and original California title from 1953. What is imortant about this car is that it is not only very rare and desirable, but it is an original survivor. It remains unrestored but still in "magnificent condition." It even won Best Survivor Class at the AACA Fallbrook car show. It has the optional Continental kit, power steering, power brakes and power windows. Our readers will remember that the 1953 Buick Skylark Convertible was Buick's anniversary edition offering, the car that Buick produced to show their superior automotive advancement in design and function. It was to be the best production car ever made by an automotive manufacturer. And it did not disappoint.
We first met John Hennessey at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in the early 2000's when he was just getting his performance empire started. Since then, the Hennessey brand has epitomized his art of "making fast cars faster." This week, Verrillo Motor Car Company in Clifton Park, New York listed a 2019 Hennessey HPE850 Ford GT350R, Ford's premium edition Shelby Mustang. The HPE850 designation indicates that Hennessey added their Supercharged 5.2L V8 Voodoo engine upgrade to the GT350R to produce 858 horsepower at 7,700 rpm. On Hennessey's own test track it will do the quarter-mile in 10.8 seconds with all the High-Flow extras they build into that engine. Each Hennessey car has its own serial number. You will find all the race tested equipment on this one, including track apps.
A really sharp 1967 Chevelle Malibu Convertible went through a complete frame-off restoration. It is a fresh Super Sport tribute. There are not too many miles on it since the restoration. This one has a 454 big block Chevy motor. Man, does it fly. It is being offered for sale at Southern Motors in Clarkston, Michigan. Click the video window above to see how a walk-around video can substitute as a video inspection. This is a great way to sell this very popular muscle car.

If you have always wanted to own a Hemi Challenger but just can't pay the price, here is the next best thing. This is a 1970 Dodge Challenger which has been given a 533 ci Hemi motor with Indy heads, Stage 5 intake, complete 3-inch TTI exhaust, and still runs on pump gas. The private seller from Michigan says it is an original California car which is super straight and runs very strong.

The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be featured in the DEAL of the DAY section on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page!
Cars are selling well in the collector car market, so you won't find this tye of deal very often. Here is a 1966 Chevelle SS which is a true 138 VIN Super Sport but now has a big block Chevy 454 motor. It comes with a 4-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear differential case. It is being offered for sale here by Midwest Muscle Cars in Lake Zurich, Illinois. They say there are plenty of extra parts to go with also. They have headers, Holley intake, timing cover, steering wheel, pulleys and more. This is not all original, of course, but they say it is a great driver. Just what you want for the price. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday, the 4th of July. The asking price is only $24,900. Hurry! This one won't last long. Chevelles are hot.
This 1948 Dodge Pickup is being offered for sale by a collector from Grand Rapids, Minnesota. It has a classic look accentuated by the tutone paint styling. We have not found another '48 with the '39-'47 style front valance that is so characteristic of the Dodge pickup truck. There is some evidence that there were tutone paint schemes like this one, popular mostly on the Dodge Canopy trucks. You'll have to contact the seller to know for sure. They say it has a clean interior and is powered by a 6 cylinder 2-barrel motor and manual transmission. It is still a 6-volt system and has an electric wiper. Most important, they say it is solid and runs great. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. The asking price is $18.000.
Here is the "sleeper deal" of the 4th of July weekend. This one won't last long. Do you have the phone in your hand yet? This is a 1969 Oldsmobile 442 muscle car being offered for sale by a private collector in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. He says it comes with a 455 ci V8, Turbo 400 automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end. It says it has a factory bench seat with a column shift, disc brakes and a tilt steering wheel. The seller says he has the original wheels, the original 400 ci motor and a build sheet for the car. We noticed he does not give information about condition or about drivability. So you'll have to call and ask about that. But the price is so low it almost doesn't matter. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. The asking price is $15,000.
These Lotus Elans always sell quickly. Their popularity is amazing. But we've never had one listed in this price range before. You'll have to follow up quickly on this one. It is a 1991 Lotus Elan M100 which is being offered for sale by Motorcar Studio in Atlanta, Georgia this week. They say it has been well kept, owned by a real Lotus enthusiast, who keeps a log of every trip, incliding mileage, gallons of fuel and service notes. (Click here to view a walk-around video of the car.) The color is Pacific Blue metallic with a dark grey interior. They say that there were new injectors when the timing belt and brake job were done 5,000 miles ago. It had a new exhaust in 2016. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. Their asking price is $12,900.
You will be the only one around that has one of these. Stright out of the 1980's here comes a 1983 Chrysler Imperial Street Machine, a real "Pimp My Ride" type custom that you won't see anywhere else. The previous owner said he had $50k into the one-off custom build. Lots of body mods to create the look, and an amazing Pearl White paint job with Ghost flames. The doors have shaved handles with poppers, custom hood, working hideaway headlights, dual sport mirror, dual exhaust, ladder bars, red leather interior. And so much more. (Read the ad copy for full list.) The private seller from Ohio says that there are only 15,625 original miles on the car.
