An interesting Slide Show ad was posted this week of a 1933 Chrysler Imperial Convertible Coupe being sold by a private collector in Melbourne, Florida. The impact of this Slide Show ad is in the "before-and-after" effect as you see this wonderful old Chrysler taken from a barn find to a beautiful trailer queen.
On the Cars-On-Line.com website today there is a Slide Show ad for a 1933 Chrysler Imperial Convertible Coupe from Melbourne, Florida. This particular example underwent a full resto rod restoration at the hands of professionals in the Melbourne area. (You may follow the photos in the Slide Show ad to see the extent of the restoration. It took years to get this one to this level)
Buyers will be surprised to find that this very rare Chrysler Imperial Convertible Coupe has never been shown at national shows as of yet. The seller says it should be considered a Number 1 condition show car. Most people would call it a trailer queen, only it has never been on a trailer. "You could drive it across the country today," says the seller. "You would probably want to trailer it if you were to take it to a national show, though. It does not have a single blemish on it anywhere. I'm retiscent to drive it for fear of getting a stone chip."
Experts say that only about five such 1933 Chrysler Imperial Convertible Coupes are known to exist. This one may be the sixth. We assume that it is a model CQ Chrysler from 1933. You will want to read the full history on this car including the restoration information. Follow this link to read the full story in the MyDreamCar.onlne blog today. You'll be glad you did. Some enterprising car collector is sure to enter it in the Goodguys Street Rod of the Year competition for 2020. Oh, oh ... now we've started something.

Bentley Motors Limited, the British luxury car maker which is now owned by Volkswagen Group, will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary by bringing back the legendary 1929 Bentley Blower race car. Yes, they have announced a project to bring back a factory replica of sorts. Only four of the originals were ever built in 1929. (An original was auctioned off in 2012 for $6.2 million.) But the fact that they are building the replicas is not so mind blowing as the way they intend to build them. Bentley has announced that they will 3-D scan every part of the original to create a digital model of the Bentley Blower. They will then fabricate twelve sets of these parts to build twelve replicas. These cars will be built by Mulliner, a famous coachworks company owned by Bentley. Each of the cars will be powered by a 16-valve motor, the exact replica of the orignal Amherst Villiers Mk IV Roots-type supercharged 4-cylinder. What will the price be for one of these twelve factory recreations? Expensive.
The replacement for the Ferrari 488 was introduced at the Geneva Auto Show. Ferrari has cast its future with the lighter and more agile 2020 Ferrari F8 Tributo. Using super alloy materials and titanium connecting rods, they have shaved 40 pounds off the already lighter 488 Pista motor. You will actually notice the revs rising and falling faster because of heat absorption with the F8 Tributo 8 cylinder mid-engine. Essentially there will be no turbo lag at all. Most of the 488 Pista's race enhancements will be present in the F8 Tributo's performance. Ferrari's incredible leading edge technology creates noticeably more downforce through the central S-duct, a duct which pulls air from the center paint of the bumper through a vent in the front of the hood. The way the body sculpting and air flow are incorporated into the design is mind blurring. Is it auto manufacturing, or a new art form?

We've seen our share of Boss Nine's this year, but this one is something special. The Last Detail, a classic car dealer in North Chicago, just posted this stunning 1970 Boss 429 Mustang in Grabber blue. It has a great history and provenance. Not only was it an MCA Concours Gold Award winner, but it also comes with original invoice, gate sheet and a Deluxe Marti Report. Look through dozens of photos to see the concours restoration up close. You'll also notice photos of the KK door tag, fender tag, transmission number and rear end tag. This car is KK2346, the door tag indicates it was built at Kar Kraft, the aftermarket finishing plant which built the Boss Nine cars for Ford. It is one of only 499 Boss Nines built in 1970. It comes with its Toploader close-ratio 4-speed transmission with Hurst shifter, nine-inch Traction Lok rear end, 3.91:1 gears, oil cooler, trunk mounted battery, track suspension with front and rear anti-roll bars and staggered rear shocks, power front brakes and chrome Magnum 500 wheels. It just doesn't get any better than this.
RK Motors Charlotte came up with another amazing Pro Touring muscle car this week. They listed a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda Pro Touring car for sale with a 6.1L modern day hemi engine. It is equipped with a full XV Suspension with power rack n pinion steering and Baer 4-wheel power disc brakes. You can imagine the handling. It will need it to harness the Hemi engine with 586 dyno-proven horsepower. As always, RK Motors provided a complete walk-around inspection in video. Watch to be amazed.

The 1974 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 was a "poor man's" Trans Am back in the day. You got almost all the Trans Am performance at a lower cost point when you bought the Formula 400 new. Classic Car Liquidators out of Sherman, Texas brought this one to market this week. Take a look at the photos. It has a custom paint job that really pops. It has power steering, power front disc brakes, dual exhaust, a center console, air conditioning, 4-speed Hurst shifter and a tach. It also comes with an after market sound system and Autometer gauges. You should have it inspected before you buy. But check out the price on this one. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday with an asking price of $17,999.
Primo Classics International is a classic car dealer in Lakeland, Florida. They have posted this 1936 Buick Special 8 for sale this week. They are still putting together the information on this fresh listing. Stay tuned for more in way of description this next week. We can tell from the photos that the exterior still looks good from 10 feet. Open the doors and you will see that the interior is older and needs some TLC, although it is serviceable. But it is clean inside and out. Under the hood it is equally clean and detailed. No condition report is offered at this point. You will have to have it inspected before you buy. But hurry! The asking price on this one is only $16,900. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday.
Country Classic Cars in Staunton, Illinois is an amazing place. Last time we were there they had over 1,000 collector cars on the grounds. If you are ever in the area you have to see this place. The vehicles are in all different states and condition. This week they listed a 1939 Chevrolet Master Deluxe for sale. It is probably a low number three condition car by the looks of the photos. You should get an inspection report done, especially to better gauge the interior and undercarriage. The report will tell you how well it drives down the road. All things considered it is an interesting find. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday because the asking price is $15,450.
It was the first year the Comet was officially badged as a Mercury product. The 1962 Mercury Comet was basically a Ford Falcon platform (although stretched five inches for the 2-door sedan.) It shared many parts with the Mecury Meteor sold in Canada. The one you see here is being offered for sale by Classic Car Deals, an online broker. The car is located in North Carolina. They tell us it has all new paint and a new white interior with buckets seats and a center console. Note the padded dash. The engine is a 6-cylinder which has been detailed. Look at the photos. It really presents well. To be sure, it would be important to have it inspected before you buy, however. It will be a DEAL of the DAY this coming week. The price is $12,995.
A private seller from Homosassa, Florida is selling his 2006 BMW Z4 Roadster, a car that he has pampered and maintained with much pride and care. He says the car has only 57,500 miles on it, and the tires are new with less than 100 miles. He said the top still looks like brand new. "Mechanically it all works well, no dents or scratches. Paint is flawless." He says he always keeps it in a garage. He notes that since he is getting up there in age, it is a little hard for him to get in and out of the little roadster. He would like to sell it to someone who could have as much fun with it as he has had. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. The asking price is $10,950.
A sharp looking 1953 Ford Custom is being offered for sale by a private seller from Cudahy, Wisconsin. It would be considered a Mild Custom, having the headlights frenched, nosed and decked, with '56 Oldsmobile taillights, '56 Ford trim modified to fit the '53 body, shaved trunk lid and a newer paint job. It has a Ford 239 ci 8BA flathead engine with Fenton headers, and a T-5 manual 5-speed transmission with dual exhaust and glass packs. Fuel lines and wiring has all been updated including a new ignition system. The front suspension has been lowered about 3 inches with use of Aerostar coil springs, rear has been lowered with Jamco 4-inch drop leaf springs and 2-inch lowering blocks. The seller says it runs and drives excellent. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is $17,000.
Midwest Car Exchange tells us that their client has owned this 1952 MG TD Roadster for better than four decades. The engine is a 1250cc I-4 with .60 overbore, Crane mild cam and a 4-speed manual transmission. The owner has stated that the engine and transmission are original to the car. It has rare engine turned stainless starter and generator covers, finned aluminum side plates and a stainless grille. It comes with a white convertible top and matching cover, and whitewall tires with chrome wire wheels. It also has many extras that the owner has added over the years, such as a luggage rack with wicker baskets. This classic MG is now available for sale. It will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week if it lasts that long. The asking price is $19,900.
