The legendary Ferrari Daytona has nothing on this slick, black 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4. It is so sweet and its styling lines so clean that not even Don Johnson's "Miami Vice" TV Ferrari could outshine its natural beauty. Twice as rare as its cousin the Ferrari Daytona, this 1972 Ferrari designed by Pinninfarina is an outlier for Ferrari collectors.
Only 505 of the 365 GTC/4 model Ferraris were produced worldwide—compared to 1,383 of the 365 GTB/4 Daytona models—making this GTC/4 even more rare. No greater example of the GTC/4 can be found than this black version Ferrari 365 GTC/4 with the tan Connolly leather interior. (That was a premium option.) It is now being offered for sale this week by Motorcar Studio in Atlanta, Georgia. They say it has its six Weber side-draft carburetors which transfer the breathing to both sides of the engine. This allowed Pinninfarina the room to bring the sleek hood lines lower over the front valance. What a sharp effect.
What's more, the GTC/4 was a premium upgrade to the GTB/4 Daytona when they were sold as new cars. Collectors will tell you the GTC/4 is much more pleasant to drive. They will also tell you that the GTC/4 issues the most distinctive exhaust note of all classic Ferraris. Yet the GTC/4 just does not get the respect it deserves in comparison to the Daytona.
Of course, the most obvious difference between the GTC/4 and the Ferrari Daytona is that the C/4 is a Grand Touring 2+2 with rear passenger seating. Both had the Columbo V12 4.4L DOHC featuring aluminum heads with cast iron pressed-in sleeves. They were chain driven with two overhead cams per bank. That means there were four cams which is where the “4” came from in the GTC model name. It has two valves per cylinder.
Be sure to read the MyDreamCar.online blog to find a comparison between this 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 and the legendary Ferrari Daytona. Also view the video done by Motorcar Studio on this black beauty. We think you'll agree that the GTC/4 should be given more street credit among collectors when compared to the Ferrari Daytona.

Cars-On-Line.com readers will want to get their tickets in advance for this year's Daytona Turkey Run, Nov 28-Dec 1, 2019, in Daytona, Florida. The annual Thanksgiving Weekend car show and swap meet is one of the top shows in the country. Their claim to fame is that they are the largest combined car show and swap meet in the country. This is their 46th Annual show and swap. It started out to be the first big Florida hot rod show. Now it brings in classic and custom cars from all over the Southeast. The Car Corral at this show is worth the price of entry by itself. There are always some outstanding deals here. It is held on the infield of the famous Daytona International Speedway, home of NASCAR's Daytona 500. Follow this link to find out more information on the 2019 Daytona Turkey Run.

Carroll Shelby must have been a fan of performer and songwriter Roger Miller. His Grammy Award winning song "King of the Road" was adopted for Shelby's special 1968 version of the Shelby Mustang. Shelby called them the Shelby GT500 that year the "King of the Road" edition. Muscle car collectors know them as the GT500 KR. Shelby always said the 1968 Shelby GT500 KR Convertible was his favorite among the Shelby Mustangs.
Here is a 1968 Shelby GT500 KR Convertible being offered for sale this week by a private collector in San Antonio, Texas. He says this is a real deal King of the Road edition. He says the car is in very nice shape ... "starts, runs and drives very nicely. Great undercarriage and no rust." The automatic transmission is a replacement, not original. It is in the Shelby Registry. Hurry on this one. The price is amazing! You won't find another one this cheap.
We couldn't wait to tell you about our featured DEAL of the DAY this week. This 1969 Mercury Cyclone 428CJ was just listed for sale at Streetside Classics, one of our favorite classic car dealers in Charlotte, North Carolina. You won't find another R Code Cyclone Cobra Jet for this kind of cash. And is it ever an attention grabber with its correct Competition Orange paint and double sport stripe trim with CJ 428 callouts. Streetside did a cool walk-around video for our readers to view it and hear it run. Click here to watch the video. We think you'll be impressed. Of course, the interior could use a refresh and the engine compartment is not detailed. That will be left up to you. But what a great opportunity. The asking price is just $24,995. Do you have the phone in your hand yet? Hurry! It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday.

Chrysler's first NASCAR "winged warrior" was the 1969 Dodge Daytona, with aerodynamics inspired by their federally funded rocket development project. Rev! Muscle Cars, a classic car broker, is offering this one for sale this week. In the video, they say it is the best one they have ever seen. And these are some savvy Mopar guys saying this. With only 44k documented miles, this one is a museum piece. No. 1 conditon? Of course. Wait till you hear the exhaust note on this big 440 Commando engine. Click the video window above to view the interesting walk-around (or should we say spin around?)

This week, a 1965 Chevrolet Impala Convertible was listed in our Project Car Section. What is unusual about it is the color. It looks from the photos like it might have had the rare Evening Orchid Poly paint. Less than one percent of Impalas came with Evening Orchid in 1965. That makes it pretty rare. Collectors might want to check this one out. Have it inspected to find out if it is a solid project to restore.

Boy, if you were looking for a Ford Model A you have to consider this one. 4-Wheel Classics is a collector car dealer in Holland, Michigan. They specialize in 4X4 Off-Road trucks, but they also are into early Fords. Here is a great example of an original 1929 Ford Model A Sport Coupe. It is an older restoration which is still in great condition, the last owner driving it only in the summer and storing it most of the year. He was a Model A Club member and actually used it on long trips to Model A events and in parades. He says it was a very complete and detailed restoration. Watch this neat video walk-around tour of this wonderful vintage Ford. It now is showing some age along the black fenders and some checking in the paint, although overall they say it looks great. They tell us it is a great running and driving Model A. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday because their asking price is only $15,900.
A private party collector from Elmira, New York is offering a 1954 Packard Patrician 4-Door Sedan for sale this week. They say it has just 36,972 miles on it. According to the ad copy, it is in great shape with factory installed seat covers. Take a look at the photos. It looks very sharp in the pictures online. 1954 was the last year for this body style. It is a really nice luxury car for its day. Look at all the chrome and beautiful emblems. All Patricians were factory equipped with their Ultramatic automatic transmission, a Packard only development. It used a straight Eight flathead motor with nine main bearings. By 1954 the engine size had grown to 359 ci with about 212 horsepower. Notice the Cloissone hubcap centers. Only 2,760 Patricians were produced. This one will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. The asking price is only $18,900.
What a sharp combination, a look ahead of its time. The teal green paint and a white top are almost elegant on this 1966 Mustang Convertible. It is being offered for sale this week through North Shore Classics in Mundelein, Illinois. Equipped with the desirable Ford 289 ci small block V8 motor and a 4-speed manual transmission, it is a reminder of why Mustang captured the spirit of America in the 1960's. They say that $2,500 was invested in the transmission recently. At this point, North Shore Classics says it shows just 35k on the odometer. It comes with power steering and an original interior. Tap this link to view a walk-around video from NSC. It will be our DEAL of the DAY early next week with an asking price of $24,900. That is well below the current average asking price for a first generation Mustang convertible.
A private seller from Reno, Nevada is selling his 1937 Ford 5-Window Coupe, a very sharp street rod with nice custom features. He says there is "zero rust" and this is an all steel coupe. Ford fans will love that it ha an all-Ford drivetrain with a 289 V8 small block Ford motor and C4 automatic transmission and 8" Ford rear end. Performance comes from Demon carbs, a Comp cam 433, new hydraulic lifters and a new rear sump kit. Also new are the front disc brakes with drums in the rear. The high quality sound system is also new with only 100 miles since it esas installed. Be sure to have it inspected before you buy. But hurry. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. The asking price is $27,750. That's about a $10,000 discount to the average value on these 5-Window coupes.
The 1965 Chevrolet El Camino is a great looking muscle truck. This one is being offered for sale at Coyote Classics in Greene, Iowa. Everyone knows Corvettes are the most sought after sports cars in America. In the last ten years, Chevrolet has upped the anti and made their Corvette the envy of the world. It is now thought of as "an American Ferrari," with super car type performance at a much lower price point. That's why we were so suprised to find that Beverly Hills Car Club was offering this 2008 Corvette for sale with glass top. It is CarFax certified as a one-owner with just 20,692 miles on the odometer. Black on black, it comes with an automatic transmission with paddle shifters controlling the power from a 6.2 Liter LS3 engine. They say it is equipped with air conditioning, heated seats, dual airbags, power tilt steering wheel, power windows, power steering, power seats, power mirriors, drilled rotors and OEM Corvette Doubledin Stereo with Bose sound system. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week because you can buy it now for $21,750.
