Call all your Corvette buddies this weekend and tell them you've just found a 1972 Corvette ZR1 with only 311 miles. They'll never believe you. Its like its too good to be true. But savor this one. Its for real.
This week, Diversion Motors in Manitowoc, Wisconsin listed this ultra rare 1972 Corvette ZR1 for sale in the Cars-On-Line.com Corvette Section. A first generation Corvette ZR1 seldom changes hands in the public market. Here is an amazing opportunity for Corvette collectors. A 1972 Corvette ZR1 is as rare as the highly desirble 1967 Corvette L88 big block 430 hp car. Diversion Motor’s 1972 Corvette ZR1 will be the talk of the Corvette community this week, not only for its rarity, but for its originality. The car comes with only 311 actual miles. That’s not a misprint. This Corvette ZR1 was never titled. You just can’t find an original, low-mile Corvette this rare anywhere.
The 1972 Corvette ZR1 was the rarest small block Corvette ever built, with just 20 cars ordered from the factory. It is estimated that only nine of these cars remain in existence. This one, from Diversion Motors, remains essentially as it left the factory. They say it has all of its factory paint, a completely original interior, a numbers-matching drivetrain, and all the other original items so desirable on classic Corvettes. But this ZR1 takes it a step further. The original assembly line markings are present. The part number decals are still legible on the tailpipes. And there is more. Be sure to read the full story in our MyDreamCar.online report today. It goes over all the documentation that comes with this special Corvette.
Diversion Motors believes this is the lowest mileage C3 ZR1 in existence. For Corvette collectors it just doesn't get any better than this.

Cars on display will be a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL, 1954 Ferrari 375MM Pinninfarina Spider, 1952 Cunningham C-4R Roadster, 1953 Jaguar C-Type and a 1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa (all from the Simeone Museum.) The last Demo Day event at the Simeone for the Lemans Series will be held June 22 featuring the "Prototype Revolution."
When Mark Townshend decided to take on the Trans America Trail, he knew he needed to upgrade his late model Jeep Wrangler Model JK. Etreme Terrain.com accepted the challenge to upgrade Mark's Wrangler for the big outlanding venture. Extreme Terrain's Ryan Houck worked with Mark and made an interesting You Tube video about the upgrades. Click here to watch the "how-to video". Ryan walks you through the steps to get Mark's Wrangler up to speed for outlanding. It is a great basic course in the hobby of modern off-roading. With suspension upgrades, a Stubby bumper install, lighting options and roof racks added, this vehicle takes on a whole new look and capability. Enjoy the ride.

Many of you may remember when this 1954 Buick Special Custom was featured at the SEMA Convention by Rad Rides by Troy. Troy Trepanier is a legend in his own time, to be mentioned in the same breath with the likes of Chip Foose and Bobby Alloway. This Buick classic custom was built at his shop. They combined the engineering of Mercedes-Benz with the classic looks of Buick. It was a no-expense-spared build with hundreds of thousands of dollars invested. Tons of time was spent on design and fabrication work. The Mercedes Benz donor parts were from a G55 model so it only made sense to nickname it the “G54”. From the modern headlights to the '62 Chevy tail lamps, this car was all custom and billet fabrication. It is powered by a Mercedes Benz AMG 5.4L Supercharged V8 with an estimated 530 horsepower. This week it was listed here on the Cars-On-Line.com website to promote its sale at the Barrett-Jackson Auction at the end of the month in Connecticut. You can read the ad by MS Classic Cars for more information and photos. Then view the interesting walk-around video of the car and hear it run.
Here is a rare classic muscle car with historic provenance. This week, Fast Lane Classic Cars out of St Charles, MIssouri (St Louis area) listed a 1970 Mustang Mach 1 Twister Special for sale. Ford provided regional special editions of the Mach 1 Mustang to dealerships. In Kansas, they created the Twister Special available only in Grabber orange with a black hood stripe and "Twister Special" decal. The Twister Special added a Drag Pack suspension and either the 428 Super Cobra Jet engine with Ram Air or the new-for-1970 351 Cleveland engine. This is one of the 48 Twister editions which came with the 428 SCJ. It has a 4-barrel carburator and the C6 Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission. It was used as the Pace Car for American Racing in October 1969. Fast Lane tells us it has undergone a recent nut & bolt restoration, and comes with a window sticker and Marti Report. Only 96 total Twister Specials were produced. Historians say that only 52 still exist today.
The excitement is mounting as we draw nearer to the time when the Raleigh Classic Auction will happen in Raleigh, North Carolina, June 21-22, 2019. We see the fresh consignments growing daily. What a great lineup of classic '50s cars, vintage classics, muscle cars and classic customs already in the auction inventory. The auction will be held at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. You don't want to miss this one.
Here are some of the recent listings just to whet your whistle:
Part of the Bloomington Gold Special Collection, this 1957 Corvette Fuelie Convertible is historically significant. The Fuelie was the first 283/283 hp car produced and comes with the Duntov cam. This car has won the NCRS Top Flight award and is Bloomington Gold certified. They say it is powered by its numbers matching 283 with the rare 7014360 Fuel Injection unit and a 3-speed manual transmission. It may be the only one built in Artic blue/Silver Coves and this equipment. It comes with complete documentation and owners history.
Among the classic imported sports cars available this year at the Raleigh Classic Auction is this 1953 Jaguar XK120 Roadster. According to the Jaguar Heritage Certificate, it was delivered to Los Angeles, California in 1953. It came with four-wheel brakes, aluminum gas tank, trunk fuel tank pan, wiper blades, electric choke solenoid, Thermostat controller for electric fan and a 12-volt battery. They say it now has a new water pump, brake master cylinder, 12-volt batterny, rubber trim gasket around windshield and new interior trunk kit and mat. They say all numbers match.
Vintage pre-war American classics are well represented in the offering at this year's Raleigh Classic. So many woody's, where to begin? This 1937 Ford Woody Wagon is a great example. This Woody is equipped with a new GMC Crate 350 HO engine and automatic transmission. Options and accessories include flat spinner wheels, disc brakes, dual exterior mirrors, high dollar Haartz cloth roof cover, wide white wall tires and much more. But it is only one of the many woody station wagons in the auction inventory.
Only fifteen Gran Sport Stage 1 convertible muscle cars were ever produced by Buick in 1972. This 1972 Buick Stage 1 Convertible is one of them. It is a 4-speed version. The tell us it is one of the nicest ones still in existence. This Buick is one of the most desirable muscle cars of its generation. Options include power brakes, power steering, power locks, AM/FM radio, air conditioning, tinted glass, tilt deluxe steering wheel, white wall tires and Stage 1 performance option. Also included are Sloan Documentation.

This is where you get first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the DEAL of the DAY feature on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You'll always see them here first though.
An Oregon collector is restoring his rare, black 1968 Pontiac Firebird 350 HO with a 4-speed and positraction. He says it comes with PHS documentation. Although this is somewhat of a project car, the seller says he is progressing on making it a dependable driver. He describes it as a "long term build with lots of new parts done by previous owner." He notes that this is a low production number Firebird which you can learn more about at his website where he is documenting the restoration. Click here to learn more. Right now you could take over the restoration for a low investment price. It will be our DEAL of the DAY this weekend. The asking price is $24,900.
There is a dedicated cult of Baby Boomers who really love Chevrolet's Corvair. They are an easy car to restore so there are a lot of them out there. Streetside Classics in Charlotte, North Carolina has a 1965 Chevy Corvair Monza Convertible for sale with a power top and a great color combination. It is in our DEAL of the DAY for Sunday this week because the price is also very affordable. Summer cruisin' is on everyone's minds as we get into the sweet part of June. This Danube blue Corvair will bring smiles to everyone's faces as you cruise by. Notice the sporty Monza wheel covers. Watch this walk-around video by Streetside. You will be delighted to know that the asking price is only $14,995.
Everyone loves the fat fendered era when Fords and Mercury's were being produced after World War II. This 1947 Mercury Custom resto rod gives you the look and stance of a vintage Mercury but with more current drivetrain. This one has a Ford 302 engine with less than 300 miles, Hedman headers, air conditioning, power steering, electric fan and more. Readers will want to have it inspected to certify its condition. But it looks pretty good in the photos. You'll find it in the Cars-On-Line.com Street Rod Section this week. On Monday it will be our DEAL of the DAY on the front page of the Cars-On-Line.com website. Hurry. The asking price is only $19,000.
When Classic Car Liquidators posted this 1968 Chevy Nova for sale they did not call it a Yenko tribute, but it does have the Yenko appearance package just like a Yenko Deuce. It does have the 427 big block with a 4-speed. This one has long-tube headers, Weiand intake, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. You will have to use high octane gas on this muscle car. But who cares. (We do advise having it inspected before you buy, however. We have not seen nor inspected this car.) Classic Car Liquidators is offering it for a very affordable price. You can own this hot looking Yenko clone for just $19,999. Hurry! This one will not last long.
Lookiing for a challenge? This one may be more of a project car than a fully restored vehcile, but Haggle Me, a classic car broker, has just posted this 1929 Nash Coupe for sale. This is the rumble seat coupe with the tire kit on the back. You don't see a lot of them for sale. However, Haggle Me does not have a full description of this unique vintage Nash. They just say that the car runs. From the photos you get the idea that it might need some work. This one needs to be inspected before you buy. We'd love to do that inspection on this rare old gem. Notice the wood wheels. There is a lot to get interested in here. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. They are only asking $12,500.
Talking about rare ... you hever see these at shows anymore. A private seller from Energy, Illinois has posted this 1941 Chevy Master Deluxe Coupe for sale this week. This street rod features a new paint job, new headliner, new door panels, new carpet and new tires and rims. It has working air conditioning. The drivetrain is composed of a 350 Chevy small block motor and a Turbo Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission. The seller says it is all ready for shows and cruises. Again, as always, we suggest you have it inspected before you buy. But hurry. This rare classic street rod will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week. The asking price is $22,500.
Old timers will love this original looking 1964 Ford F100 Pickup just listed by Fast Lane Classic Cars in St Charles, Missouri. They call it an "as needed" restoration, in other words, much of the truck has been redone, although the paint job is older. It has the 292 ci Y-block V8 with a 2-barrel carburetor, 3-speed manual trnsmission, Ford 9" rear end. The two-tone interior is re-upholstered, newer carpet and door panels were added. But the bumpers and trim are original. There is an updated AM/FM digital radio and USB charging port in the dash. Also, they've added an underdash heater, spray-in bedliner and 15" steel wheels. You should have it inspected before you buy. But hurry. It will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week because the asking price is only $15,995.
