An interesting 1969 Boss 429 Mustang showed up at Ideal Classic Cars in Venice, Florida this week with race history and a lot of attitude. Ideal Classic Cars tells us it is a true Z Code Boss 429, one of only 132 with this paint and trim, according to Kevin Marti.
The Boss 9 comes in its correct Royal Maroon color, which is decribed as being in immaculate condition. You can see dozens of detailed photos on the ad page (follow this link to view photos.) Muscle car collectors put a value on the Boss 9 Mustang greater than even a Hemi Cuda. This is arguably one of the most desirable and collectible Mustangs ever produced. They say the black interior is in excellent condition.. Ideal Classic Cars says there are no flaws or blemishes noticeable.
It comes with the close ratio 4-speed Toploader manual transmission, a 3.91 Traction-Loc rearend, and Magnum 500 wheels. This Boss has likely spent the early part of it's life on the drag strip. Evidence of its rich racing history are everywhere. The 429 engine has been built and balanced, adding an Eagle 521 stoker crank, Eagle H-beam rods, custom JE pistons with Mahle rings, Comp Cams 586 lift hydraulic cam and lifters, Blue Thunder dual-quad aluminum intake with dual Weber 750 cfm carburetors, plus high volume oil pump and water pump. It now has a Northern aluminum crossflow radiator and March reduction pulleys. It also has weld-in subframe connectors, a 4-point roll bar, and strengthened Panhard bar and Traction Master traction bars along with other heavy duty suspension parts. You can see the racing harnasses in the photos.
This Boss 9 is documented with a Deluxe Marti Report and two shipping invoices. Ideal Classic Cars is ready to make a deal on this one right now. The Boss 9 Mustangs are as rare as frog hairs. Don't let this one get away.

The cat is out of the bag. The new C8 Corvette was unveiled Thursday. It will be Corvette's first mid-engine model, purposely putting it in a performance category with Ferrari and Lamborghini. Mark Reuss, president of General Motors, revealed the new C8 Corvette at a press event in Tustin, California on Thursday. What is most amazing about this new Corvette super car is that it will still be base priced at below $60,000. The new mid-engine V8 will be called the LT2, a 6.2 liter power house producing 490 horsepower in the base Stingray. The 2020 Stingray will have a new 8-speed dual-clutch paddle shifted automatic (no manual transmission will be available.) It is reported that it will do zero to 60 mph in under three seconds. Other features include an adjustable suspension with GPS-linked memory to raise the Corvette's nose when it approaches steep driveways or speed bumps, potholes, etc. It will also have a new electronics which will enable GM's Super Cruise system, allowing hands-free driving on the open road.
We hope you caught our coverage of the Iola Car Show last weekend. It is amusing that one of the largest car shows in the country is held in one of the tiniest communities in the backwaters of Wisconsin. Cars-On-Line.com covered much of the action at this year's Iola Car show 2019. If you did not get a chance to read about it follow this link to our ClassiCarNews.com website. There you'll find plenty of photos and a video of the top cars.
ClassiCarNews.com is where we publish all of our car show stories. You'll find the Car Show Calendar of Events there also. Don't miss any of the big shows in the U.S. and Canada this summer. Bookmark our Car Show Calendar for future reference.
Wow! We must have been pretty busy covering car shows last week. You'll remember we visited the 25th Annual Millers at Milwaukee Vintage Indy Car Event at the Milwaukee Mile in Wisconsin State Fair Park. These old Indy race cars actually ran the Milwaukee Mile. If you did not get a chance to see our video and photos from the event follow this link to the Millers at Milwaukee story on ClassiCarNews. The event is hosted by the Harry Miller Club, the association of race car collectors who specialize in cars built by legendary race car builder, Harry A. Miller. Miller based engines and race cars dominated the championship racing world during the 1920's and 1930's. Car built by Miller won 38 Indianapolis 500 races.

Streetside Classics listed a rare muscle car this week out of their Tampa, Florida location. Here is a 1967 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 Hardtop with all the right equipment to document it as original. Streetside tells us it has undergone a frame-off restoration. Under the hood are the dual intake hoses feeding the chrome air grabber, indicating the performance W-30 package. Below that is the hallmark Olds golden block for the 400 ci motor, and that has the ultra-desirable 390925E casting. The engine comparment shows the level of detail taken to keep it original. Decals and GM hoses all there. The undercarriage looks as good as the topside. (See dozens of detailed photos in the ad.) This W-30 comes with all the right paperwork, including the original warranty card which proves this car was born a 442 in Fremont, CA, reproduction window sticker, owner's manual, title documentation, and restoration photos. A W-30 Olds 442 from 1967 is truly a hard-to-find muscle car.
The is the 1928 Auburn Convertible Sedan which was on display at the New York Auto Show in '28. It was purchased by a couple at the show and driven to their home in Indianapolis. The car remained in the family until the late 1960's. Today it is being sold by Classic Lady Motorcars in Cornelius, North Carolina. They tell us it underwent a no expense spared restoration in 1973. It is an award-winning car that has won National AACA and AACA Repeat Preservation awards. Today it still remains in great condition. (See photos in the ad.) Only 550 of these Phaeton sedans were produced in 1928 at the Auburn plant. It was the first year for roll-up windows. The dual side mount exterior is a gorgeous tricolor tan, brown and black paint that is in excellent condition. The top is tan and in excellent condition. The leather interior is a deep red and presents in excellent condition.
Classic Car Studio in St Louis, Missouri is a really interesting collector car restoration and resale shop. They have this 1967 Camaro SS for sale this week. The reason we single it out here is because they did a very cool video about the car. Take a look at this video ad. They say it is an extremely clean rotisserie restoration that was built with a quality list of pro touring parts. With just 2,700 miles on the build, they say it is fully sorted out and a pure blast to drive. Then they prove it by doing a test drive right here in this video.

To find a 1968 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with low miles is a pretty significant achievement. That's what MS Classic Cars has done with a new listing this week. Marc Schiliro at MS Classic Cars tells us this one has only 8,700 actual miles from new. Wow! He has it at his dealership in Seekonk, Massachusetts right now. However, he will be consigning it to the Central Pennsylvania Auto Auction in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania to be auctioned off tomorrow. Contact the auction house.

A rare 1958 Morgan 4/4 Roadster has been listed for sale by Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles, California. They say it looks like an easy restoration project. You have to admit the car looks good in the photos. Beverly Hills Car Club says it has a lot of potential. The car is yellow over white with a black interior. It has been with the same owner for many years and has just come out of storage.

A Kentucky muscle car collector just dropped the price on his 1969 Plymouth Hemi Road Runner by $15,000. He says this highly prized Mopar muscle car not only has its original 426 Hemi and matching Hemi Torqueflite, but also has the A32 Performance package, including a 4.10 Dana 60 rear end. He says it retains all of its Hemi specific parts. Just this week he reduced the price from $110,000 down to the current price at $95,000.

Online Auto Connection (also known as West New York Dream Cars) is located in West Seneca, New York. They specialize in collectible muscle cars. This week they posted a 1966 Mustang GT350 Fastback, a Shelby tribute which was beautifully restored. With a 289 V8, 4-barrel carburetor and a 4-speed manual transmission, it also comes with disc brakes and a Poppy Seed Red exterior with white stripes. What a vison! They say a solid investment was made to make this a Shelby clone.
The following are more recently listed Muscle Car Clones:
1969 Plymouth Road Runner from Centralia, IL, 472 Hemi, TKO 5-spd
1964 Ford Galaxie 500XL, Diversion Motors, WI, Thunderbolt hood, 428, 4-spd

This week's DEAL of the DAY preview has some of the finest collector cars we've ever offered at such low prices. Just look at the popular collector cars in this week's DEALs. This is where we give newsletter readers first shot at all the cars that will be featured in the DEAL of the DAY feature on the Cars On Line home page during the coming week. Often these cars sell right here in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You'll always see them here first though.
Classic Car Deals, an online classic car dealer, is brokering a deal for a Florida muscle car collector where they are offering this 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400 for sale. Look at the photos and you will note that the car looks clean and sharp in a Gold metallic finish. They say it has a built 400 Pontiac Ram Air II with an automatic transmission. It also comes with power steering, bucket seats with a console and the desirable hood tach. They say it has just 48k documented miles on it and that it remains in great shape. These early Firebirds with 400 engines are hot right now on the market. But here is a chance to pick one up cheap. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday because the asking price is only $21,895.
The British MGA roadster is one of Britain's best ideas. These are fun cars to drive. Here is a 1956 MGA Roadster being offered for sale by a private owner from Holliston, Massachusetts. The 4-speed, dual carb, little sports car is said to be ready to drive and have fun with. He says it has a brand new interior in honey tan. At some point, someone swapped out the original motor for an MGB 1800cc 5-main motor (more power.) Recent improvements include: new front and rear suspension (leaf springs, shocks, rack and pinion, tie rod ends, U-joint assembly) and replacing the clutch and master cylinder. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday because the Massachusetts seller is only asking $17,000.
A private seller from Silverdale, Washington is now offering a 1978 Corvette Indy Pace Car edition for a record breaking low price. For any of you who thought they would never be able to afford one of these cherished Pace Car dealer editions, here is one you will want to check out. The private owner says it has always been garaged and remains in immaculate condition. The owner still has the orignial decals, never been on the car. And they say it still has just 41,600 miles. What a find! It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday because it is one of the most interesting deals on our website this week. The asking price is only $19,500.
Here is an unusual color combination on a 1957 Ford Thunderbird while the price seems to be a discount to the average market value. The gunmetal gray metallic color with a white porthole top is an elegant combination. It also has a black convertible top and black canvass tonneau cover. Wow! That is a great combination. It is being offered for sale by Classic Car Marketing of Southern California. The T-Bird is owere by a rebuilt 312 V8 with just 5k miles, backed by an automatic transmission. It includes a new crossflow aluminum radiator, power steering, power brakes, telescopic steering column, and new sound system. There are a lot of chrome accessories under the hood and it sits on chrome wire rims on brand new Coker tires. There are receipts available for work done. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week because the asking price is right at $30,000.
We've been wondering when the retro Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi cars would come down in value enough so everybody can afford one. Well the time is now. This 2014 Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi 5.7L is available for sale by a private seller from Centralia, Illinois. He says it has a 6-speed manual transmission and only 52k miles on it. What's more, he says it runs and drives great. You can see from the photos that it is clean inside and out. The seller says it has new paint because it comes with a rebuilt title. You should have it inspected before you buy. You, of course, want to know if it goes down the road straight. But it will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week with an asking price of $17,500.
T-Bucket owners are among the craziest people on earth. There is no way you are ever safe in a T-Bucket on the highway. But the zenith of a T-Bucket experience is when you have a big block motor like this 1923 Ford T-Bucket Roadster from Classic Car Liquidators in Sherman, Texas. They indicate that it comes with long tube headers, tilt steering column, quad rear coil over shocks and a Jaguar independent rear suspension. It is constructed of a full custom tube chassis so this is a quality built piece. It has front and rear disc brakes, a chrome alternator and B&M shifter. The big 454 has an aluminum Edelbrock intake and carburetor. This is a premium package for an affordable cost. Their asking price is only $14,999. This one is not for the faint of heart.
Humpty Dumpty Classic Cars has lowered prices on a whole bunch of collector vehicles this week. One that they just listed is this 1982 Chevy Silverado C1500 Fleetside Custom pickup with all power options and digital dash. This is a beautiful Torch red Silverado Show Truck having been pro built with a full custom restoration. Note the billet grille, rear roll pan, fresh 5.0 liter V8 with a strong Turbo Hydramatic 700 Chevy transmission. The charcoal custom interior is described as "perfect." Also see the premium sound stereo system. What a find! Now the price is just pocket change. It will be our DEAL of the DAY late next week. You can buy this custom show truck for just $18,900 now.
