An iconic custom Woody wagon is being offered for sale this week on the Cars-On-Line.com website. The 1950 Tin Woody which won the Radical Wagon award at the 2010 Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, California is now part of the collection at R&H Motor Car Group in Solon, Ohio. R&H is a group of collectors in Ohio who invest in some of the top cars in the world just for kicks. They are now offering this popular Woody show car for sale to the public. Often these unique custom show cars never reach the public market being traded in and out of top collections. So this is a big opportunity to acquire a top show car for your collection.
This 1950 Tin Woody is a classic Chevrolet show custom that steals the show wherever it goes. It was built by Brad Starks Customs in Paducah, Kentucky, one of Starks' early builds that remains an American icon today. It is actually all steel with some very clever paintwork. They took an original 4-door wagon from Arizona, re-designed and re-fabricated it as a 2-door before the top was chopped. They C-notched the front frame and re-arched the rails to give the wagon its lowered look. The Hot Hues Cappucino paint and airbrushed wood simulated paneling were also done with the help of some of Stark’s builder buddies at the time.
This Tin Woody Wagon is so unique it is hard to take your eyes off of it. There are so many unique modifications to look at. The GM 502 is fed by a Hilborn fuel-injection with stunning Brad Starks stacks and aluminum heads. It has a Gearstar 4L60 automatic transmission with B&M pumpkin themed shifter, a Yank 2,500 rpm stall converter and Currie 9-inch rear end. Starks built the custom chassis and used Ridetech suspension. They re-arched the rear end, mini-tubbed it 2.5 inches and added the Air Ride. The ten-spoke Budnick wheels were “hot” at the time. The body lines flow nicely thanks to the shaved door handles. The paint is magnificent. Even the valve covers catch your eye because of the shadowed “Chevrolet” logo.
The interior is so special and so well done that you have to see the photos in the R&H Motor Car Group ad. Matching wood grain inserts are seen in the door panels, headliner and rear floor.
Be sure to read the full story on this iconic build in the MyDreamCar.online blog post today. Many of our readers will remember this incredible build when it was shown at the Grand National Roadster Show or the Detroit Autorama. It was also Goodguys' Custom Rod of the Year. It is not very often that you get a chance to invest in a show car of this quality. What a great opportunity for the right collector.

Linked above are the New Listings and Price Changes pages. These pages are updated in real time to include every addition to the Cars On Line.com Collector Car Market.
We have been reading all the Top 10 Most Popular collector car lists out there on the internet recently. It seems like every body has an opinion, and some of the so called collector car "experts" seem like they really do not know the market at all. Some casual collector car buyers make their purchases based on these "official" reports. So Cars-On-Line.com has decided to publish their official Top 10 Most popular list so that our readers will be the best prepared to understand the collector car market. Watch for our special report next week in this newsletter. Based on actual sales, the most popular collector cars should be the 1955-1957 Chevy Nomad Wagons. Notice how none of the "experts" even mention the classic Tri-Five Chevy Nomads in their Top 10 picks? That's how we know they are bogus. The 1955 Chevy Nomad Wagon shown here was sold this summer on our pages. We will factor in both actual sales figures and search engine impressions in producing our official list of the Top Ten Most Popular Collector Cars. Look for it in next week's newsletter. Then you'll know.
Tri-Five Chevrolets continue to be popular in today's collector car market. That's what the owner of this 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Hardtop discovered when he advertised his classic Chevy for sale. This week he told us it was SOLD thru COL. Most important he was kind enough to tell us about his experience selling on Cars-On-Line.com. "From start to finish, well informed personnel at Cars-On-Line," he told us. "Courteous, great transaction." Thanks, Charles, for letting us know. We really appreciate our sellers, especially when they give us feedback. Now he knows why we always say, "You can advertise anywhere ... but you can sell on Cars-On-Line." Follow this link to the SOLD section below. Here is another amazing Mopar muscle car find from Show Your Auto.com. Patrick Krook has just listed this 1970 Dodge Hemi Challenger R/T for sale here in the Cars-On-Line.com Mopar Section. This listing will rock the Mopar world! It is the 1970 Dodge Hemi Challenger R/T pilot car, the first Hemi Challenger ever produced by Chrysler. It is a factory hand-built prototype, with a scheduled production date August 1, 1969. Needless to say, this is the most collectible Mopar muscle car currently available in the hobby. It has both R/T and SE items. (Go to the Show Your Auto.com ad page to find out more about the history of pilot cars, and to see dozens of high resolution photos of this amazing Mopar find.) This is actually the very car that Car And Driver magazine tested in their November 1969 article to introduce the Dodge Hemi Challenger to the muscle car world. This is also the car used to model the Johnny Lightning diecast American Muscle Car Series issue 1970 Dodge Hemi Challenger R/T. This car is available for sale for the first time in 25 years.
Not many exotic sports cars are born to be collectible. But this 2005 Porsche Carrera GT runs in that company. They will sell for as much as $1.5 million at collector car auctions these days. You only see one or two of these cars offered for sale each year. This week, The Garage in Miami, Florida is offering this 2005 Porsche Carrera GT for sale. The 5.7L (about 350 cubic inch) 10-cylinder mid-mounted engine produces 604 horsepower transferring power with a 6-speed manual transmission. Of the 1,270 Porsche Carrera GT's produced between 2004 and 2007, only one hundred were finsihed in the famous Guards Red color. This is one of them. (Follow this link to view more high resolution photos.) Sports Car International magazine ranked the Porsche Carrera GT as the top car on its Top Ten List of Sports Cars of the 2000s, and No. 8 on their list of Top Sports Cars of All Time. Popular Science magazine cited the Porsche Carrera GT for its advanced technology and chassis development. The GT includes an electronically operated rear wing which activates at speeds over 70 mph. Performance tests have been done which show the Porsche Carrera GT can do 0 to 60 kilometers per hour in two seconds.
Wanna' hear a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda start up? Whee-hoo! There's nothing better, is there? That pulsing lopey cam with all that torque. Show Your Auto.com has listed a Jamaica blue 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda that you won't be afraid to drive anywhere. Just turn the key. They say this one is well documented and in good condition. She was ground-up restored back in the 1990's, remaining largely stock with a few personalizations. This car has spent the last few decades as a driven show car and is currently dialed-in and driven regularly. And it still has its original fender tags and a factory broadcast sheet.

This is huge! Remember the 1968 Plymouth Valiant Pro Street built by Shady Dell Speed Shop in Pennsylvania? It was featured here in the newsletter because the video they used in the ad was a clip from a TV show called MuscleKingz Lounge (Kind of a muscle car talk show. Click here to view the video.) They featured this 1968 Plymouth Pro Street ride and did a nice job. Read through the ad and you'll see how much time and money was invested. This is a work of art. Now consider that they just reduced the asking price on this Pro Street race car for the second time. It was listed at $38,000 (which is a cheap price when you consider how much was invested.) But just this week they reduced it again to $30,000. Now that's what I'm talkin' about.
You'll find hundreds more PRICE REDUCED vehicles on the Price Reduced Feed today. Here are just a few:

The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars which will be highlighted in the DEAL of the DAY feature on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You'll always see them here first though.
Welcome to the most amazing DEAL of the DAY lineup ever featured here in the Cars-On-Line.com newsletter. These are some desirable cars at prices you never thought you'd see again. For instance, our featured DEAL of the DAY for Saturday will be this 1969 Oldsmobile 442 Sport Coupe from Menasha, Wisconsin. It comes with a built 455 muscle car motor. The motor uses a '68 Toronado short block with famous Mondello oiling system, aluminum heads, Air Gap intake, Holley 850 carburetor and TCI built TH400 automatic transmission with 10" torque converter. It also has a Chevy 12-bolt, 3.73 gears, upgraded Posi, Moser axles with long studs and they say only about 6,000 miles on an all-new chassis. The asking price is $12,900.
A 1948 Packard Clipper comes from a private seller in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina this week. It will be our featured DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. It may actually be classified as a restoration project because the seller says it has wiring issues and the speedometer needs to be recalibrated. The brakes also need to be upgraded. You see, this might be considered a resto rod since it has a 305 ci V8 Chevy small block engine and a 12-volt alternator. The wiring harness is new and it comes with Water pulleys and after market gauges. Disc brakes would make it perform better. But the Silver blue interior and wood grain trim are said to be beautiful. You should have this one inspected before you buy to get a good condition report. It will not cost much to get involved with this one. The asking price is only $16,500.
Old Forge Motorcars in Lansdale, Pennsylvania notified us that they are terminating their classic car business. We are sad to see them go, but they site the "graying" of the collector car hobby as a reason to get out of the business now. That means they will be liquidating some nice cars in their inventory. Here is a great example. This 1969 Camaro Z/28 tribute is a real muscle car hot rod with 383 stroker motor, 650 Holley, roller cam and Dart cylinder heads. The GM 350 Turbo automatic transmission and Moser 9" Ford rear with 4.10 gears let you know this is no mild mannered street car. It is mini-tubbed with a roll bar (but not a cage.) The exterior and interior are said to be very nice. They say there are only 62k miles on this interesting find. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday with an asking price of $27,000.
A very desirable 1963 Buick Electra 225 Convertible has been listed for sale by a private seller from Kewaunee, Illinois. This car has been in the same family since it was new, according to the seller. He says the rebuilt engine has just 6k miles on it since the redo, and it was built with hardened valve seats so it can burn unleaded gasoline. The top has a new motor, he says, and he tells us the new motor runs great. Now showing 106,000 miles on the odometer, the seller says all gauges work correctly and so the the power windows. The car was also equipped with power steering and power brakes. Of course, it is a Buick so you know it has that reliable reputation. Best to have it inspected before you buy it. But hurry! This one will be our DEAL of the DAY come next week. The asking price is only $7,000. I think you'll agree that this is a lotta' car for that money.
Here is a unique offering from a private seller in Des Moines, Iowa. It is a 1962 Chevrolet Impala 4-Door Sedan which has been turned into a cool looking lowrider custom. The seller describes it as a solid old car with a nice interior. It has the Chevy 283 small block motor which the seller says "runs good" and is "very dependable." No surprise there. It also has the two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. But the interesting part of this car is that it is equppped with Air Ride suspension. It is significant that the seller indicates that it is a nice driver. Sometimes these customs don't go down the road straight. But the seller says this one does. Still, you might want to have it inspected before you buy it. You'll have to hurry, though. This one will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is only $8,500. (Price does not include the wheels and tires you see in these photos.)
We were really surprised to see this classic 1955 Ford Thunderbird listed for sale this week by a private seller in Carson City, Nevada. He describes his T-Bird as being "eye catching" and having just 65k original miles. It is the model with the popular porthole top and it has the stunning Kelsey Hayes vintage style wire wheels with white sidewall tires. It comes with its Colonial white exterior with fender skirts and has contrasting Tuxedo black and white two-tone interioer with power seats. It has the 292 ci Y-block V8 engine with the U code two-barrel Holley carburetor with dual exhausts. The transmission is a 3-speed automatic. The seller says the engine and transmission have new seals. You can see from the photos that the engine bay looks clean. But the big surprise on this one is the price. It will be our DEAL of the DAY in the coming week because the asking price is only $23,000.
You have to listen to the engine rumble and view the stance on this 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo to get the whole story. It is being offered by Old Forge Motorcars in Lansdale, Pennsylvania as note in the story above. They are liquidating their classic car inventory. That means you might get a deal like this one. The Monte Carlo comes with a 350 crate motor with aluminum heads and intake, Edelbrock AFB type carburetor, HEI distributor, Hooker long tube headers and 2 1/2" Flowmaster exhaust. Factor in the power steering, power disc brakes and Turbo Hydromatic 350 transmission. They say the Mulsanne blue base clear paint and brightwork are of a high quality. And the bucket seat interior with console shows well in the photos. Again, you'll be surprised by the price. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week if it lasts that long. The asking price is $10,000.
