Mark your calendars. In a little over a month from now the Spring Carlisle Auction, April 19-21, 2018, will be held during the Spring Carlisle Car Show. It is one of the top car shows in the U.S. Carlisle Auctions, the event promoter, has published some of the advance cars that will be offered in the auction sale. You may want to research them here before the sale:

You can expect a good assortment of Tri-Five Chevys in the Carlisle Auction this year. Here is a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertibe, often referred to as America's car, a classic 1950's icon. This one comes in Colonial Creme with a Colonial creme/white interior and white top. Follow the link to see photos and a history. It looks great with fender skirts and a continental kit. The description tells us it has recently undergone a rotisserie frame-off restoration. It is powered by a 283 V8 engine with a Power Pack and a manual three-speed transmission and dual exhaust.

It is not that unusual that a collector car auction would have a 1969 Camaro Z11 Indy Pace Car Convertible in its inventory. But this one is really special. This Camaro Indy Pace Car Convertible is one of the rare L78 396/375 horsepower big block versions just like the actual car that paced the race. They tell us it is numbers matching and very correct throughout. It comes with an automatic transmission with horseshoe shift on the console. The paint is Dover white with Hugger orange stripes. The orange Houndstooth interior is featured in the photos. They say it runs and drives great.

Four many years now Richard Petty has been producing special edition late model Ford Mustang retro tuners out of his Petty Garage. These are really trendy in the South. Here is a very desirable 2017 Petty Garage 80th Tribute Edition Mustang. The package on this one includes an upgraded supercharged 5.0L Ford engine rated at 825 hp, with a 6-speed manual transmission. It is No. 2 of only 43 produced. It comes with full documentation, and a commemorative dash plaque with Richard Petty signature. This one was born to be collectible. It will be offered for sale still on factory MSO.

Jacked-up off-road vehicles are the hottest trend in today's collector car hobby. Vehicles like this classic 1969 Ford Bronco are in high demand, especially among the Gen-X'ers. Why not? They're a ton of fun. Follow the link to view photos. They say it has had a nut-and-bolt frame off restomod rebuild. The 289 V8 is complemented by a C4 automatic transmission and 9-inch Dana 44 rear end, and disc brakes. The descriiption says the drivetrain has been completely rebuilt. With custom bumpers to make it legal, they say it runs and drives great. You can check out the suspension in the photos.

Vanguard Motor Sales in Michigan tells us this 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV has traveled just 1,099 original miles. What's more, they say the same family has owned the vehicle since it rolled off the lot in New Jersey back in 1973. Under the hood you'll find the original 460 motor connected to a C6 transmission. Unequivocally, the best deal on the intenet this week is a 1970 Camaro Z28 listed on Cars-On-Line.com by a private seller from Ashburn, Virginia. The code 65 Hugger orange Camaro has an NOM 350 V8, Muncie 4-speed with lockout reverse. It has a factory console, bucket seats, and he says everything works. The best part is that he says the rust free body is very straight with nice panel gaps and alignment. It comes with disc brakes and new shocks front and rear. The seller says the paint is older and needs a redo. But he reports a lot of updates to the suspension and major parts. He says it runs and handles well. As always, we would suggest that you have it inspected before you buy. But hurry! This one won't last the weekend. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday because the asking price is just $18,900.

We are really impressed with this price leader, a 1938 Packard Street Rod, just listed for sale by P.J.'s Auto World in Clearwater, Florida. What a find for a serious street rodder. You'll be the talk of every show you go to. It is equipped with a 5.0L V8 engine, TH400 automatic transmission, aluminum intake, 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetors, headers, dual exhaust, chrome engine dress up kit, front power disc brakes, rack and pinion power steering, 15” chrome wire wheels and wide white wall tires. This is a true resto rod because it retains the original vintage look while utilizing a more modern drivetrain. It has a traditional wood dash, but comes with power windows, tilt steering column and air conditioning. Priced at just $29,900 we knew right away when it was listed that it had to be featured right here in the DEALs of the DAY.

It all started with the classic sport utility vehicles from the last '60s. But now the popular trend has spread to trucks and 4X4s of all eras. People love to restore old trucks and jack them up for off-road use. One of our Cars-On-Line.com Dealer Network partners specializes in this trend. 4-Wheel Classics has dozens of fresh postings like this 1990 Jacked Dodge Ramcharger for sale at their Holland, Michigan location. This one is in our DEAL of the DAY feature this week because the price is so attractive. They say the front axle is a Dana 44 which was upgraded to Mechanical Lock and the rear end is a corporate 9 1/4. Transfer case is the NP241. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. The asking price is $14,900.

This iconic 1926 Ford T-Bucket has the California old school tall T radical look so popular back in the 1960s and 1970s. And it has a lot of very cool equipment. The Hilborn style scoop, chrome headers with twisted sidepipes, chrome 4-link rear suspension, big Mickey Thompson tires on the back ... its all part of a particular classic street custom look. There's even Moonies on the front. Fun to drive? Oh, yeah. It is being offered for sale by Classic Car Liquidators of Sherman, Texas. They seem to regularly come up with classic rides at very reasonable prices. Have this one inspected, but do it quickly. We don't expect it to last long at this price. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week with an asking price of $19,999.

For the past year, early first generation Mustang convertibles have been consistently staying in the mid-$30k range in price when they are in No. 2 class condition or better. Because prices have been increasing on the show quality Mustang convertibles, now driver quality cars are getting hard to find in lower price ranges. So you may want to take a look at this driver class 1966 Mustang Convertible just posted by Beverly Hills Car Club in Los Angeles. Although it comes with a Ford 289 V8 engine and automatic transmission, this one is not all original. It has been updated with a Carter AFB carburetor, Edelbrock air cleaner and intake manifold, Ford Cobra valve covers and American Racing wheels. This is one you can drive and enjoy but will not be a serious show car. The asking price is $19,950.

A really sharp, clean looking 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Sunliner (convertible) was listed for sale by a private collector in New Port Richey, Florida. It has some unusual options not found on all Galaxies for that period. For instance, it comes with rare factory option power windows and power seat. The 390 c.i. big block V8 is equipped with a new rebuilt 4-barrel carburetor, distributor, electronic ignition, plug wires and plugs, and a fuel pump. The power top pump has been upgraded and it has front disc brakes, according to the ad copy. Take a look at the photos in this ad. At least in the pictures the car looks right. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later this coming week. The asking price is $28,500.

Another listing by Classic Car Liquidators caught our eye this week. Here is a 1965 Chevy El Camino which looks clean and sharp in the photos. Classic Car Liquidators out of Sherman, Texas has been offering quite a few collector cars at some very affordable prices recently. This one really takes a nice picture with its gold paint and very clean undercarriage. Remember to have it inspected before you buy, but this one seems to have a lot of "eye appeal." You can scan the photos at the ad link above. It comes with a 283 V8 engine, dual exhaust, vintage air and heat, a tach and a 4-barrel carburetor. Contact them for more specs and info.
