Just when we thought the Hemi Mopar market had been depleted for the summer car show season, Legendary Motorcar Company shows their hand. Three of a kind. They listed three new Hemi Mopar muscle cars this week just in time to make the summer sales season interesting. We are most impressed by this 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird. While today we revere them for their winged aerodynamic qualities, back in the day they were a bit of a pariah. They were just too extreme for the average car buyer at the time. That is exactly why they are so rare and desirable today.
This 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird from Legendary Motorcar Company is said to be one of only 135 Hemi Superbirds ever produced. Legendary tells us it is a true numbers matching R Code 426/425hp Hemi car which has undergone a no expense spared rotisserie restoration. The Hemi Superbird was factory ordered Tor-Red or Hemi Orange as it is commonly called by Mopar fans, complemented by a black vinyl interior and the mandatory black vinyl top. This car also came factory equipped with power steering, power disc brakes and an automatic transmission. It has undergone a true no expense spared nut and bolt rotisserie restoration “to the highest level,” according to Legendary.
The Superbird had a 99.5 percent stability rating, giving it a distinct advantage on the high banked NASCAR tracks. The Plymouth winged cars won 75 percent of the NASCAR races in 1970. The next year NASCAR changed its rules again to eliminate the Superbird from competition.
You'll find two more Mopar Hemi cars from Legendary Motorcar Company in the Mopar listings below.

We hope you were able to catch some of our coverage of the 2018 Raleigh Spring Auction last weekend. Our Cars-On-Line.com Car Show team took this photo of the top sale, a 1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie R Code 427 muscle car which sold for $120,000 at the hammer. For those who did not see our reports click here to find out what was selling in Raleigh. We are already seeing some of those cars appearing in our New Listings for this week. One of the dealers in our COL Dealer Network told us he bought five cars there. This sale just keeps getting better every year. We will be covering the next one in December, 2018.
The big show this week was the Pontiac Oakland Club International (POCI) Meet in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. It is their 46th annual convention this year. Cars-On-Line.com photographer Doug Bennett was on hand to capture some of the top Pontiacs on display.
Don't forget to check the Cars-On-Line.com Car Show Calendar for all the upcoming shows, swap meets and auctions in July and August, 2018. The Great Race will arrive in Nova Scotia, Canada on Sunday after a week-long run starting in Buffalo, New York. And Camaro SuperFest is happening at the Michigan Speedway. Thought you might want to see this incredible burnout shot from the 10th Annual Mustang Car Show put on by American Muscle. The June show was their annual charity car show for the Make-A-Wish® Foundation. It was held at Maple Grove Raceway (MGR) in Mohnton, Pennsylvania. They were able to raise $117,000 for Make-A-Wish this year. The show was attended by Mustangers from Ontario, Canada to the panhandle of Florida. Follow this link to the American Muscle website for some more great action shots from the Mustang show. The McLeod burnout competition for Best Smoke was a Fox body, owned by Alex Giroux, spewing clouds of orange smoke for the win. The exhibition drag races, sponsored by VMP tuning, put on an awesome show with everything from a lifted short-bus to jet-propelled dragsters. Mustang lovers need to put this one on their bucket list for next year.
A Silver Spring, Maryland collector wanted to tell us he had SOLD his rare 1966 Plymouth Hemi Belvedere II this week. "My 1966 Plymouth Hemi Belvedere is waiting to be picked up!" said Christopher when he notified us his car should be marked SOLD. This was a rare Mopar with a rare factory paint code, Dark Turqoise Metallic. It was one of only 154 Hemi Belvedere II cars sold in 1966. The sale has been negotiated and the car is now awaiting transport to its new owner. Now Christopher knows why we always say, "You can advertise anywhere ... but you can sell on Cars-On-Line." Follow this link to the SOLD section below. When you see how effective a Cars-On-Line.com ad can be, you may want to advertise your car with Cars-On-Line. Click here to start your ad now.

An interesting history is recorded on this 1964 Shelby 289 Cobra by Legendary Motorcar Company, the classic car dealer now offering it for sale. This is the second Cobra offered by Legendary Motorcar Company this month (see the other in a recent newsletter.) They say it was originally ordered by and assigned to the Ford office in Cincinnati, Ohio for promotions. A year later it was returned to Shelby American where it was sold to a pair of California racers who campaigned it there. It was later acquired by a Wisconsin man who raced it for 18 years in the vintage races at Elkhart Lake's Road America. He retired it in 2003 after which he had it restored to the livery you see here. The paint is Guardsman Blue with White LeMans stripes. It features a 347 ci engine using, ported aluminum World heads, Wilwood brakes, adjustable A-arms, a removable roll-cage, front and rear sway bars, a stainless steel fuel tank, stainless steel headers mated to a 3" exhaust system with tailpipes, and FIA repo wheels.

The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the DEAL of the DAY feature on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You'll always see them here first though.
Classic Car Liquidators in Sherman, Texas is regularly mentioned here in the DEAL of the DAY feature of the Cars-On-Line.com newsletter. They tend to find collector cars at a discount to market prices. That makes their listings very interesting to our buyers. Here is a 1968 Chevy Nova done up to look like a very authentic Yenko conversion. Now we should point out that this one does not have the 427 big block monster engine. Instead it is equipped with a Chevy 307 ci V8. But it does come with a Weiand intake, dual exhaust, power disc brakes and more interesting updates. The appearance is there, and the performance for you to add. It will be our DEAL of the DAY this Saturday with an asking price of $19,999.
Here is a significant find for any collector, a rare 1957 Chrysler Windsor 2-Dr Hardtop that looks and performs as an original should. This is a great example of the "Forward Look" by Virgil Exner. It was the first Torsion-Aire Ride car Chrysler ever produced. This car is being offered for sale by Midwest Car Exchange in Alsip, Illinois. They tell us it comes from a single family ownership for three generations. It has the Chrysler 354 ci V8 and Push-Button automatic transmission. What a find! And the best part is the price. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday with an asking price of $11,900. Hurry on this one. It won't lask long at this price.
A driver quality 1955 Ford Thunderbird just listed a few days ago could be the opportunity for which you have been looking. Whenever you find a T-Bird for under $30,000 you have to consider it in the right price range. The seller says he bought the car to "tinker" with but is now 77 years old and can't get in and out of it as he used to. He says there was some amount of work done by a previous owner. Ask him if it was a complete restoration. His loss could be your gain. Be sure to have it inspected before you buy, but hurry. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday with an asking price of $28,900.
When A&E Classic Cars of New Braunfels, Texas listed a 1932 Ford Hi-Boy Roadster for sale this week we were going to link it in the new Street Rods listings below. Then we noticed the price and realized it was such a special value it needed to highlighted here in the DEAL of the DAY. This is a fiberglass kit car with 2 stretched doors, cab and 2-inch recessed firewall, 5.7L 350 ci small block motor and TH350 automatic transmission, and 10-bolt rear end. The color is called Monster Synergy Green. There was a lot of quality work put into this hot rod. So it is a no brainer to be our DEAL of the DAY next week because the asking price is just $27,900. You could never begin to build one this nice for the price.
Here is another great opportunity that is priced so right you just can't pass it up. Good Times Classics out of Well Line, Missouri just posted a 1937 Jaguar SS100 recreation for sale. Among neo-classics, this a very popular recreation which has a great deal of authentic looking equipment. It was built in 1988 and titled as a 1988 ASVE. It has the V6 engine from a 1988 Mustang and C4 automatic transmission, rack and pinion steering all from Ford. This should make it easier to work on. They say there are only 3,600 miles on it. You should have it inspected before you buy. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week because the asking price is just $8,500.
This could be the sleeper buy of the week. A 1969 Corvette Coupe is for sale in Sheboygan, Wisconsin today. This is a desirable high horsepower edition with the 350 L46 small block engine boosting 350 horsepower, and comes with a 4-speed transmission, power steering, power brakes, wheel covers, side exhaust and only 68,200 miles, according to the private seller. He says the engine has been rebuilt but is the original engine. He says there are many parts replaced or upgraded. Call for a more complete description. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. The asking price is only $26,000.
You know how popular these off-road vehicles have become in this market. This 1988 Jeep Laredo Wrangler (YJ Series) was built by American Motors when it owned Jeep in the 1980's. It is being offered for sale by Humpty Dumpty Classics in Sarasota, Florida. They come up with some of the best bargains on our website each week. They tell us it comes with a soft top, and a 4.2 Litre L6 "New Motor" with just 10 miles on it. They say the automatic transmission is also "new." It is set up for off-roading, shift on the fly, 3-speed automatic transmission. And it comes with a Bimini Top. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week with an asking price of $15,500.
