During the muscle car wars of the '60s and '70s no name stands so revered as the legendary Ramchargers. They were the Mopar factory team which brought the art of tuning to the drag racing scene. The last of the Ramchargers was Dean Nicopolis. While still racing he built this 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda in the early 1980s.
For historic provenance this car cannot be beat. It has many vintage performance enhancements such as high compression pistons, radical cam shaft, frame connectors, headers, and a vacuum pump for the power disc brakes. With his knowledge base of racing and custom designed enhancements, this car should be a learning tool for performance guys and race car enthusiasts. (Follow this link to view photos of the car and some of the documentation that comes with it.)
From 1959 until Nicopolis retired in 1988, the legendary Ramchargers were making racing history. The Mopar factory team was active through 1974, when Nicopolis and a few of the Ramchargers decided to go heavy into their wheelhouse as Super Stock racers. This 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda is representative of the technology of that era.
A private collector from Cobourg, Ontario, Canada currently owns the car. The Dean Nicopolis 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda retains so much provenance and history. Rarely does a car this important come on the market.

The Hemmings Motor News Great Race 2018 will start in Buffalo, New York on Saturday, June 23, 2018 and will end on Sunday, July 1 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The Great Race is a time and speed endurance rally held each year to honor the motorcar and what it has meant to the development of transportation. All motor vehicles, 1972 and earlier are eligible to enter. The 2018 rules and regulations, along with this year's route were published recently in December. Although the rules were not altered this year, the route is an interesting one as it will start in the Northeast corridor of the U.S. and will wind through Maine, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The entry fee to actually compete in the road rally is $6,000. This year's limited registration is already sold out. You have to put your name on a waiting list to be eligible to compete. Here is the form for getting on that waiting list.
After seven consecutive years of growth in U.S. light vehicle sales, the auto industry’s long-running sales streak seems to have come to an end. A total of 17.1 million cars and trucks rolled off dealership lots in 2017, decreasing yearly sales by 1.9 percent compared to 2016’s record high of 17.5 million. The numbers have been released by WardsAuto.
The industry sold 1.6 million vehicles during the month of December, a 5.1 percent decrease compared to the previous year. Most major automakers reported lower December U.S. sales. An uncertain year lies ahead for the auto industry, though the consensus among experts foretells that 2018 will bring even weaker sales totals.

Many collector car owners view their cars as time capsules. That's exactly what we have here in this 1929 Cadillac 341B Coupe from Flemings Ultimate Garage in Rockville, Maryland. Counted among its many features are an original dash with Jaeger gauges, an original Cadillac steering wheel, original Charcoal bucket seat interior, "torch" interior lights, great looking chrome, and 20-inch wood wheels with wide-white Polyglas tires. Incredibly, this vintage classic has just 25,114 original miles, according to the dealer. A time capsule indeed.

"A real-deal 1966 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Convertible is a wonderful thing," says Streetside Classics. "But then when you check out the enhanced V8 and all the other sporty features of this all-red classic droptop, you'll soon realize just how much of an opportunity this is." According to the dealership, the vintage convertible comes equipped with a detailed 327 small block V8 and TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Step inside and you'll be greeted by an all red interior, which offers newer upholstery and plenty of comfort. Learn more when you watch the video. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday with an asking price of $26,995.
A private seller from Winnipeg, MB, Canada wants to find a new home for this 1938 Buick Special Model 41. The ad reports the vintage motorcar runs beautifully and gets its power from a rebuilt (original) Straight 8 engine. The starter was recently rebuilt and you'll find new front brake cylinders and hoses. It comes with some spare parts too! It's all complemented by a set of wide whitewall tires. See additional photos when you visit the ad. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday priced at just $16,800.
Daytona Beach, Florida is where you'll find this 1964 Chevy El Camino for sale. The private seller describes it as a "turn key investment grade" muscle car and provides a complete list of specs in the SLIDE SHOW ad. So what does it all come with? Under the hood sits a rebuilt 396 big block V8 engine (375 hp) with 700R4 automatic Overdrive transmission. Inside you'll find a new red bucket seat interior. Visit the ad for the full list. And hurry — On Monday it will be our DEAL of the DAY. The asking price is $19,900.
4-Wheel Classics tells us this 1978 Chevy K-5 Blazer runs down the road straight and true. Perhaps it's because of the newer steering box. Or maybe it's the rebuilt 400ci V8 engine. Either way, the dealership assures us it's a turnkey vehicle that's ready for its next owner. The rust-free Blazer comes with some nice options, including air conditioning, power windows/locks, and rare West Coast Turbine Wheels. The interior is very clean as well. See the video to learn more. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week with an asking price of $15,900.
Bought new in California, this 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint is now for sale out of Baden, Pennsylvania. The seller tells us it is rust free and is still clean and straight. It has an automatic transmission, 260ci barrel carb, bucket leather seats, premium tires, and more. Check out the price. It's just $15,500. That's low enough to make it one of next week's DEAL of the DAY banner cars.
If you're looking for value, you might consider this 1963 Chevy Nova Gasser. According to the ad, it comes with a 406 roller motor, Dart heads, a Powerglide transmission, and remains completely rust free. The price is especially attractive. It's just $19,500 and will be one of next week's DEAL of the DAY features.
Classic trucks like this 1967 Dodge D100 Pickup are always popular. This one comes from Streetside Classics of Phoenix, Arizona and includes a numbers matching 225ci engine, vinyl bench seating, correct full gauge panel, and an undeniably authentic feel. It's also documented with an original Certicard and manuals. You can see it in person, or sit back from the comfort of your own home and watch the video here. The price is just $14,995, making it one of next week's DEAL of the DAY cars featured on the homepage of CarsOnLine.com.
