When Mopar historian Galen Govier gives your car a "one of one" rating you know you have something pretty rare. This week Shelton Classics in Mooresville, North Carolina let us know they have a 1966 Plymouth Hemi Belvedere II for sale with factory Bronz metallic paint. You won't find this paint Code 999 finish listed on any Ditzler paint chart for Plymouth in 1966. In fact, Govier says it is the only Code 999 Belvedere produced that year.
A "one of one" Hemi Belvedere II is the kind of treasure Mopar fanatics salivate over. Shelton Classics tells us this original Hemi Mopar comes with a load of documentation, including: 2 original owner's manuals, a 1966 HEMI service bulletin manual, original radiator coolant sticker and jack loading instructions that were removed and preserved during restoration. Plus they have full receipts from the restoration, and a complete set of restoration photos.
In addition to being a special order color, Govier says this 1966 Plymouth Hemi Belvedere II is one of only 228 examples built with the Torqueflite automatic transmission. Only 531 Hemi Belvedere Hardtops were produced that year in total. Find a full data tag decode in the ad copy.
Shelton Classics states that this is one of the finest restorations they have ever seen. They say it is factory correct right down to the 1966-only blue-line tires (as seen in the photos.) Hear it run in the video below:

A 1967 Shelby Cobra 427 barn find will be a featured car at this year's Amelia Island Concours as it will be offered for sale at the Gooding & Company Auction. It was found stored along with a rare twin cam 1966 Ferrari 275 GTB Long Nose Alloy. With his storage building being about to be torn down, the owner told Hagerty Insurance Company about the cars. Hagerty offered to help move the cars for the rights to do the story. Here is the video they did for their Barn Find Hunter series. On March 9, 2018 both cars will be offered for sale at the Gooding & Company Auction during the Amelia Island Concours. They estimate that the cars are worth about $4 million.
Stay tuned to the ClassiCarNews.com website for our coverage of the Amelia Island Concours in March. We will cover the auction live and bring you the prices on the top cars to be sold by Gooding & Company. We got a tip that the actual 1968 Bullitt Mustang will also be on display there. We'll bring you photos from the show. Find more of the top events for March on our Cars-On-Line Car Show Calendar online.

A beautiful Viper red, one-of-a-kind 1963 Corvette Split Window Drag Car sold this week out of our Race Car Section online. Ronnie, from Knoxville, Tennessee told us, "Great help selling my 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupe. Would do it again!" He noted that this was not a real Corvette, but was an aftermarket body built on a chrome moly round tube tig welded chassis. It has a 522 cu in Reher-Morrison engine w/ dyno sheet showing 848 hp. Now Ronnie knows why we always say, "You can advertise anywhere ... but you can sell on Cars-On-Line." A professionally built 440ci V8 generates the power under the hood in this 1970 Dodge Challenger from P.J.'s Auto World. They're located in Clearwater, Florida and shows as a strong RT tribute. There's a 727 auto, pistol grip shifter, Mopar aluminum intake, dual exhaust, black bucket seat interior. Take a look at the ad and see just how detailed this one is. They say it's show worthy.

The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be highlighted in the DEAL of the DAY feature on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You'll always see them here first though.
When the Dodge Challenger retro Mopars first came out in 2008 the R/T versions were considered to be valuable collector cars from day one. Now, after they have been out for a while you are seeing pricing come down. They are very affordable today. Here is a 2011 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic for sale by a private seller from Titusville, Florida. It is a specially tuned garage queen with only 8k actual miles. It has been updated with Catback exhaust, K&N filter and much more. You would have paid up for this car just a year ago. Now it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday with an asking price of $23,000.
When is the last time you saw a 1967 Dodge D100 Swept Side Pickup? There are just not a lot of these left in existence. This one has had an older repaint, but the private seller from Orange, California says, "This truck is 100 percent reliable, always runs wonderfully and is a pleasure to drive." And he adds, "Original, numbers matching Slant 6 and A720 trans work great, lots of torque and has sought after dash shifter ..." He says everything works and it comes with a clear California title. It will be our DEAL of the DAy on Sunday with an asking price of just $16,500.
If you are a Mopar collector and you love the performance version look of the 1967 Plymouth Belvedere, you need to take a look at the photos in this ad. Whether it is all original or not is not discussed here (so we figure it isn't) but what a great GTX type look for a big block 440 car. This one is being offered for sale by Classic Car Liquidators in Sherman, Texas. They have a knack for finding some great cars at great prices. This one comes with a four-barrel carb and tach. They say it has long-tube headers and Redline tires. They indicate that there may be a few things to fix on this car. Be sure to have it inspected before you buy. But it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. Hurry! The asking price is just $19,900.
In the age of the resto mod, here is one that Chevy fans will love. Classical Gas Motors just posted a 1964 Chevy Nova Convertible for sale. Now they do explain that it is an older show car which was sitting unused for some time. It was gone through but still has a few issues. You should have it inspected before you buy. It may be more of a restoration project than a driver. But there is some potential here if you are the right kind of buyer (backyard mechanic or active builder.) It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week with an asking price of $6,500.
Here is another great find, not a show car, mind you, but this could be a ton of fun for the right buyer. It is a 1923 Ford T Track Roadster offered by a private seller from Needles, California. It is powered by a Chevy V6 with 350 automatic transmission, front disc brakes and new tires. The seller calls it a "real head turner and fun to drive, lots of thumbs up." From the photos you can see that it is just a driver class car. But the value is in the eye of the beholder. This crazy hot rod roadster will be our DEAL of the DAY this week. The asking price is only $14,500.
Once again this week we have a 1966 Plymouth Valiant Signet Convertible for a very affordable price. P.J.'s Auto World in Clearwater, Florida came up with a nice looking example, yet the price is only $12,900. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week if it lasts that long. It has a 225 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder engine, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, Certi-card, and the fender tag is still on the car, they tell us. It comes with 13” steel wheels with hubcaps. What a sweet looking ride. Be sure to look at the full set of photos at this link. That is a lotta' car for the price.
