Back in the day knowlegeable Chevy fans would have told you that there was no 427 Camaro. No such thing. Yet, for some Chevrolet dealers there was a way to use the Fleet ordering system at the factory to get factory built 427 big block Camaros by using COPO numbers on the order form. Fast forward in time and this original Lemans blue 1969 COPO Camaro 427 was discovered in a Wisconsin barn. Then the 1969 COPO 9561 Camaro equipped with a 512-casting iron block was put through a no-expense-spared restoration completed by Custom Classics Auto Body and Restoration in Island Lake, Illinois. Today is it being offred for sale by Midwest Car Exchange in Alsip, Illinois. It has been certified by Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance and has achieved multiple awards, including its 2009 MCACN Concourse Gold and 2010 American Camaro Association Bowtie Class Gold awards.

Here is a remarkable opportunity to acquire a very rare and desirable classic muscle car for a very affordable price. A private collector from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota posted his 1969 AMC Hurst SC/Rambler for sale. It was a purpose built AMC muscle car produced to compete in NHRA F Stock class drag racing. Originally purchased new in Winnipeg, Canada, it comes with extensive paperwork going back to when it was a new car, including the original owner's manual and Protect-O-Plate plate warranty. It was raced in 1970-71 at Bison speedway in Winnipeg. The seller still has the ET slips. Only 1,512 SC/Ramblers were ever produced at AMC. Today they believe there are a little over 300 left in existence. The seller says it comes with the original transmission, carburetor, intake manifold and distributor. The 390 big block engine is believe to be the original, although AMC never stamped VIN's on the block. The car is very correct, according to the seller.

In 1971, Dodge discontinued the Coronet model so the popular Super Bee was moved to the Dodge Charger family. That made Super Bee's rare to begin with. But today a private seller from Penticton, British Columbia, Canada is offering his 1971 Dodge Hemi Super Bee for sale. A real Hemi Super Bee!! In 1971 they only built nine of these. They say it is numbers matching with a 4-speed and full owner history including the original fender tag. The color is a rare Gunmetal gray. The seller says it is an older repaint. Mopar collectors put a huge value on rarity. It doesn't get any better than one of nine.

This year's Fall Auburn Auction on Labor Day Weekend is shaping up to be the one big national auction you just can't afford to miss. The Fall Auburn Auction by RM Auctions is part of the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Festival held in Auburn, Indiana, August 31-September 2, 2018. RM Auctions is anticipating over 700 vehicles to cross the auction block for the giant sale. The auction sale at the RM Auction Park during the A-C-D Festival has been going on for 45 years. The 1970 Boss 429 Mustang is one of the most desirable classic muscle cars of all time. This one in Grabber blue will be offered for sale during the RM Auctions sale here at the Fall Auburn Auction in Auburn, Indiana on Labor Day Weekend. Included in the sale is an extensive file of historic documentation, including copies of the Ford Motor Company dealer contracts, along with the original sales invoice. It is one of just 500 Boss 429 Mustangs built in 1970.

A truly legendary sports car, the 1971 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Spider is among the most sought after investment cars for Ferrari collectors. The beautiful design of the Daytona Spider led many Berlinetta owners to convert their car to the rarer production convertible, a popular exercise in the 1970s and 1980s. This one was converted into a spider by Michael Sheehan’s European Auto Restoration, a firm well-known for their Daytona Spider conversions.

During the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Festival on Labor Day Weekend it is only fitting that a 1930 Cord L-29 Cabriolet should be one of the featured cars to cross the auction block at the Fall Auburn Auction. Offered from the Richard L. Burdick Collection, this is an excellent example of the first successful production American front-wheel-drive car. It is a CCCA Certified Full Classic and is eligible for all Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Club activities and meets. The interior and top were recently redone.

This is one of those 1950's classics that always gets mentioned as one of the most unusual factory built luxury cars of all time. It is a 1958 Buick Limited Convertible with the most ornate front grille of any car ever produced in Detroit. Well optioned with power windows, convertible top, steering and brakes, factory air conditioning, Wonderbar radio and Autronic Eye. Only 839 Limited convertibles were produced in '58. It comes with the "flight pitch" Dynaflow automatic transmission.

When Dan Gurney's Cougar Racing Team took top honors in the SCCA Trans Am Racing Series, Mercury used his name and likeness to promote its Mercury Cougar pony car. Thus the 1967 Dan Gurney Special Mercury Cougar became a hot seller. The Dan Gurney Special package included a sticker on the passenger rear window, a chrome dressup kit for the engine compartment and Turbine wheel covers. This particular car is being offered for sale by Midwest Car Exchange out of Alsip, Illinois. It features the 289 Ford small block motor upgraded with a four-barrel carburetor. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday with an asking price of $14,900.

We have never seen an actual woodie station wagon in running and driving condition for sale so cheap ever before. This is a truly once in a lifetime opportunity. A 1953 Buick Super Woodie Wagon has been offered for sale by Specialty Sales Classics in Benicia, California. Watch this walk-around video and hear it run. They say it is equipped with a factory 322.7 ci V8 engine along with the matching automatic transmission and that "it performs nicely on the open road." Amazingly, they are only asking $15,990 on this important Buick Estate Wagon. That's why it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday, if it lasts that long.

Newsletter readers know we always say "If you can find a nice first generation Ford Thunderbird for under $30,000 ... you should buy it." What we mean by that is T-Birds are seldom seen in drivable condition for under $30,000. But one of our regular classic car dealers in Sarasota, Florida has a Raven black 1955 Ford Thunderbird Roadster for sale today. They tell us the paint is "flawless, and it comes with the auxiliary hardtop. The interior is white and black tutone with a white top. They say it is a California rust free T-Bird with the 292 ci V8 and an automatic transmission. It even has power options. This week it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday with an asking price of just $27,500. Hurry on this one!

Here is a 1923 Ford T-Bucket with a real old school look. It is being offered for sale by a private seller from Flushing, Michigan. He indicates that it is a 'home built' replica, something like a kit car. It has a fiberglass body and a Buick V6 engine with an automatic transmission. The rear end is from a '76 Ford Maverick. It comes with a 10-gallon gas tank, premium tires and wheels and has been used by a non-smoker. (After all it is an open air T-Bucket.) It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. They are only asking $9,500.

I bet you thought you'd never be able to afford a beautiful retro muscle car like this real dael 2007 Shelby GT, didn't you? Well, this may be your day. This Shelby has been listed for sale by Browns Performance Motorcars in Glen Burnie, Maryland. They tell us the car is like brand new inside and out. They say it has all of the original paperwork including the window sticker and Shelby Certificate. As you well know, these Shelby GT's one of the most sought after modern muscle cars out there, and this one is truly something special with only 4,500 original miles. This Shelby is sure to turn heads everywhere you go. It will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week with an asking price of $27,900.

I think, after you read this, you'll agree that this is a lotta' car for the money. This 1972 Plymouth Duster is being offered for sale by a private seller from Martinsville, Indiana. It comes with a Norm's Built 360 and Tremec modern transmission. Although it runs and drives, the sellers says it just needs finishing touches. There is reportedly $32k in the build so far. He says it really sounds awesome. It is equipped with front disc brakes, 8 3/4 rear end with 4:88 gears. It has been barely driven since built. You can see the custom dash with factory console, sharktooth grille, new tires and wheels. He says the seats and carpet are new. You can see the Weiand tunnel ram in the photos which feeds two Holley 450's. The asking price is only $16,900. Hurry!

If you are looking for a classic American microcar such as this 1957 Nash Metropolitan from Manchester, Maryland, the seller says this is the one. "I price this little car to sell," he offers. "I don't think you 'll find a nicer one for less." That is why it will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. He says it is all original in very good condition. These Metropolitans came with an MG engine and 3-speed transmission shifted on the dash. He says this car is very clean underneath and runs and drives very well. "Always a crowd pleaser wherever you go," is the way he describes the car. The asking price is only $8,900.
