It is a tradition here on the Cars-On-Line.com site. We like to look back at the year 2017 to remember all of the great cars and trucks we've seen here in the newsletter this year. This week we're covering the second half of 2017 with all the standout cars from July through December, including the remaining 2017 CAR of the YEAR contenders. We're taking a moment to reflect on everything you've helped us accomplish this past year, recapping some of the most memorable shows and highlighting some of the most popular car listings. It's also a place for you to see some really cool cars and decide which car you think should be our CAR of the YEAR! So, without further ado, here's Part 2 of Cars On Line's annual Year In Review: 2017 Year In Review - Part 2.
You'll notice that some of the cars are marked with the "Vote for CAR of the YEAR" sticker (pictured right.) Those are the remaining finalists contending for your votes! If you missed last week's newsletter, you can see the first batch of finalists in the 2017 Year in Review - Part 1.
We'll announce the results of our poll and the winner of Cars On Line's CAR of the YEAR 2017 title in next week's newsletter, but you still have time to tell us which car deserves to win! Click here, then select the bubble next to the car you want to be CAR of the YEAR. Don't forget to click the "vote" button at the end of the poll when you're finished. You can learn more about each car with the "history" link in each entry. Don't miss the results! Subscribe to our newsletter here. Come back Friday, December 29, 2017 to see which car our followers picked as their favorite, and which one will be named the 2017 CAR of the YEAR!

We like to keep it pretty simple here at the Cars-On-Line office. When we greet you, we say, "Merry Christmas," not a watered down "Happy Holidays." It's the Christmas birth that the world celebrates. Why make it more complicated than that? Doesn't it make you smile inside that a poor baby boy could be born in the humblest of conditions, and yet history tells us that kings came to give him presents? The tradition of giving gifts at Christmas comes from those humble beginnings. If truth is in the eye of the beholder, then we have all witnessed the magic of Christmas. It is a gift of second chances wrapped in hope.
We, here at the Cars On Line office, hope that time will stand still for you on this blessed day ... that you will take pause to consider what you have been given in your life ... and that you will have a chance to be with the people who helped you along your way.
So our wish for you this week is that you will feel that glow of cheer, renew friendships, fill yourself up with what is worthwhile in life ... laugh, sing and enjoy the company of family and friends. May you all have a Merry Christmas ... and God bless you ... every one.
If you've ever wondered about the power and value of a Run Till Sold ad, here is a great example.
"I listed my 1965 Chevy El Camino with you over a year ago. Now out of the clear blue I got a call on Sunday and SOLD it on Monday for full asking price to someone that only lives an hour away from me. I guess you never know who's looking at your car online. Thanks for your help. Glenn."
Now Glenn knows why we always say, "You can advertise anywhere ... but you can sell on Cars-On-Line." To view more vehicles SOLD thru Cars-On-Line this week, follow this link to the SOLD section below. Start advertising with Cars-On-Line at this link!

Carroll Street Auto is currently verifying some of the information and getting more info about its racing days. There is no doubt it will be a true find whether you are a race car collector or a Mopar afficianado.

The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be featured in the DEAL of the DAY section on the Cars On Line home page. These deals have been getting better and better each week as the collector car market goes "to sleep" for the winter. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You'll always see them here first though.
In general, Ford Torinos are the most under-appreciated muscle cars in the collector car market. Rodney Dangerfield would say, "They just don't get no respect." Here is a 1968 Ford Tonino GT Convertible which is priced so affordably that we knew we had to note it here. The private seller from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin says it remains in very nice condition. He says it comes with fresh paint, many new suspension parts, newer brakes, in mostly original condition. He discloses that it has a non-numbers matching 302 ci V8 engine, automatic transmission, 8" rear end and column shift with bucket seats. It may not last the weekend because the asking price is only $14,900. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday. Hurry!
The 1965 Ford Thunderbird Roadster with the plexiglass tonneau cover is one of the hottest finds for Ford collectors. This one is being offered for sale by Streetside Classics out of their Tampa, Florida store. "This much classic luxury, elegance, and rarity is usually never this affordable," they tell us. It has a a recently rebuilt 390 V8 under the hood and they say it has plenty of options. Although Ford did not make the sports roadster package in 1965, this one has if along with the versatility of a back seat. "You can still wow your friends with the removable fiberglass cover when you want," they noted. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. The asking price is just $24,995.
The steal of a deal for this week is this 1923 Ford T-Bucket with the altered front end design. Altered Fords were tearing up drag strips all around the country but were super hot on the West Coast. This T-Bucket has all the appeal of the early altered roadsters plus a Vortec 350 V8 backed up by a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. Classical Gas Motors in Texas is selling this hot rocket for a client of theirs. "Since the motor is all exposed it has been cleaned up well with billet valve covers, a chrome alternator, billet spark plug wire looms, a tall chrome air cleaner and nicely chromed side pipes.s" Great sound. We encourage you to have the car inspected before you buy, as always. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Monday. The asking price is just $15,000. Hurry!
Gateway Classic Cars out of Tampa, Florida has listed a 1968 Buick Gran Sport Convertible for sale. We've see the 1970 GS model convertibles go for over five figures many times at national auctions. So this Skylark GS model should figure to have a much higher value than the price you see here. After all, they say the original 400 ci was just freshly rebuilt with only 1,382 miles on it. The smooth shifting TH400 and 3:42 rear end are dependable and the engine fires right up, they note. The options include, power steering, power brakes, power windows and tilt. This is the muscle car you have been waiting for. You'll see it featured on our front page as a DEAL of the DAY next week! The asking price is $25,995.
We were wondering when those retro Dodge Challengers were going to come down a little bit in price. Today there is a 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T being offered for sale by a private seller from Brownsville, Texas for just $16,000. For the R/T version that sounds like a lot of car for the money. It does have high miles at 128,000. It comes with navigation, touch screen stereo, Cervini Ram Air System, 6-speed manual w/ Barton Close Ratio Shifter. The private seller says it is "Very Fast!" The exhaust was modified slightly for a lower rumble. The seller says it was never abused or used at the track. The price is so affordable that it will be our DEAL of the DAY next week, if it lasts that long.
Connors Motorcar Co in West Chester, Pennsylvania has posted this 1966 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Convertible for sale this week. Convertibles may be out of season in some parts of the country but that's why the price is so attractive. You can use the opportunity to afford top down driving fun for next spring. They say it is totally rust free with stunning white paint, very nice original red interior, nice black power top, smooth and powerful 425 ci 300 hp V8, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, more. Look at dozens of high resolution photos all around the car. It will be one of our DEALs of the DAY later next week. The asking price is $12,500.
Often there are more cars that deserve to be in the DEAL of the DAY than we can schedule for our front page feature. Here is a list of cars that just missed the cut for the DEAL of the DAY this week. Remember, you saw them here first:
