Where will we be this weekend? There's only one answer. Reno, Nevada, of course ... at Hot August Nights where over 10,000 cars will be on display at all the major casinos. This show is all about cruisin' and fun in the summer sun the way they did it in the 1950's and 1960's in Reno. This is a car town and they know how to throw a party. You can follow all the action at our ClassiCarNews blog page. Be sure to bookmark it as it will be updated in real time with photos and videos all weekend.
There are giant cruises every night in downtown Reno and Sparks, Nevada during Hot August Nights. This show is exciting. There's nothing like cruising under the famous Reno arch as thousands of people crowd along the streets to appreciate all the cars. Each day there will be more and more cars showing up for the cruises and Show & Shines at all the major casinos.
They bill Hot August Nights as "the largest classic car and nostalgia event in the U.S." You have to be here to understand just how big it really is. It encompasses all of Reno and Sparks, Nevada. It certainly is the largest car show we have ever seen. Cars will matriculate between the casinos to experience the various venues so there is a constant parade of cars moving around all day. With pistons sputtering and wheels chirping all over town there is just a different atmosphere here. You'll think you have travelled back in time to an era when America was about horsepower and the popular music was good old time rock n roll (with a back beat.)
Some of the top cars in the country will be here to compete for trophies. You can join in on the voting for our Reader's Choice award winner. When you like your favorite car or truck on our Facebook page you'll be casting your vote. We'll have the contenders listed there on Saturday and Sunday. Be sure to check back often.

We were only at the NSRA 2017 Street Rod Nationals for four days. That's just not enough time to take in everything going on in Louisville when the National Street Rod Association comes to town. Click here to see our photos and videos from the NSRA Nats in Louisville last weekend. It was another great show. The NSRA tells us there were 10,137 cars and trucks registered this year.
We hope our readers enjoyed our coverage of the show. Cars On Line's readers chose the 1949 Chevy C10 Custom Pickup as their Reader's Choice Award (see the video on the COL Car Show page.) When we posted it on Facebook it drew 430 "Likes" and was viewed over 5,000 times.

You're invited to join Thomas in the North Shore Classic Cars showroom in the latest video feature for this 1962 Chevrolet Impala. They've put together a great video, detailing all the features you're sure to love in this Impala. The 355 V8 Jasper crate motor runs excellent after a rebuild in 2005. They get in close too. It's an award winner and you won't have any problems seeing why. Watch above or click here!

The DEAL of the DAY preview gives you first shot at all the cars that will be featured in the DEAL of the DAY section on the Cars On Line home page. Often these cars sell in the newsletter before they even make it to the home page! You'll always see them here first though.
This 1930 Ford Sedan Delivery is pretty sharp for the price range and could be the perfect starter street rod for an aspiring collector. We're told it comes finished, with features like a 2" chopped roof, High Performance 350 Chevy engine, a written appraisal report, and more. It's $30,500. See it as Saturday's DEAL of the DAY on Cars On Line.com.
Open the door of this 1964 1/2 Mustang Coupe and if you're looking at the photos at least, you'll be greated with the many awards and acolaydes it's accumulated sitting in the new, custom blue denim interior with heated seats. It's priced at just $20,000. For that price, you could start adding some trophies of your own.
You’d be only the third owner of this 1965 AMC Rambler American 220, which the seller implies has low miles as well. The 4.3 Vortec engine is rebuilt and paired with a 700R4 transmission. Mechanical components were checked and it’s ready to drive. Take a look at the photos and then consider the price. It’s $9,000 and will be one of next week’s DEAL of the DAY features.
If you're looking for a muscle car that's ready to be enjoyed today, take a look at the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge from Sarasota, Florida. The seller says the Carousel Red cruiser is PHS documented and features its all original (and very nice!) white pearl bucket seat interior. Take a look at the SLIDE SHOW ad for additional pictures. It's our DEAL of the DAY next week at $49,900.
Laguna Hills, California is where you'll find this 1967 Ford Fairlane Convertible for sale. According to the private seller, this is a rare car with all the original body panels and no rust. Under the hood you'll find a S-Code 390 engine with 4-speed transmission. This muscle car will be our DEAL of the DAY next week at just $17,500.
A private seller from Richfield, Wisconsin just listed a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 XL Convertible for sale with one heck of a price. According to the seller, the Glacier Blue muscle car is an older restoration that features a white top and dark blue bucket seat interior. Under the hood you'll find the factory 352ci engine mated to a Borg Warner 4-speed. Hurry on this one – it's our DEAL of the DAY next week with a price of just $12,995.
