In 1970 the buying public never knew about the Super Drag Pack option for the 1970 Boss 302 Mustang. That's because Ford never put it on the options list that year. Most drag racers thought you could only get the Super Drag Pack option on the 1970 Cougar Eliminator and the Mach 1 Mustang 428CJ. It was a little known fact that if you chose the W Code 4:30 rear gear you also got with it what has come to be known as the Super Drag Pack option.
The car you see here is a 1970 Boss 302 which was ordered with Medium Blue metallic paint and the mystery 4:30 rear gear. Only seven cars were ordered this way. Of the seven, this one is fully equipped. The Marti Report says this is the only one equpped this way from the factory. It is currently offered for sale by Show Your Auto.com, an internet broker that sells collector cars for their clientele. (Click here to view more photos and contact information.) They cite a 100Â percent numbers matching original drivetrain and original buck tag as documentation that this W Code 4:30 Super Drag Pack Car is one of the rarest in existence. All of this is recorded in the Marti Report.
Following a detailed restoration, this 1970 Boss 302 with the W Code options was taken on the show circuit where it earned two National Concours Gold trophies. It is fully sorted and turn-key ready for the road. Show Your Auto.com says it would perform equally well at shows or at the drag strip.

The Wellborn Muscle Car Museum’s "1970 Color Chip ’Cuda" was officially unveiled at the 2016 Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals in Chicago last month. In 1970, the Plymouth ‘Cuda was offered by Chrysler as the last word in the Pony Car segment to draw buyers away from Ford’s Mustang and Chevrolet’s Camaro. So, to illustrate just how customizable the all-new ‘Cuda was, Chrysler created an illustration featuring all 25 colors available for the car’s debut. Collaborating with the Big Easy Motors television show on the History Channel, the Wellborn Musclecar Museum tapped famed builders at The Bomb Factory in New Orleans to create a real life version of the original 1970 illustration by Chrysler artists.
The result is a stunning automobile that wears all 25 “color chips� on the passenger side, as well as the staggered drag wheels, wheelie bar, parachute and “Hemi� callout on the shaker hood.
Now the Wellborn Museum has taken things one step further. Asking the question, “If Chrysler were to introduce the car today, how would they illustrate how many color choices potential buyers have?� The answer is clear. They'd build a color configurator app so buyers could chose which color they liked online. Wellborn Muscle did just that. Gateway Classic Cars has a real treasure in their Atlanta, Georgia showroom. The famous 1972 Buick Gran Sport Stage 1 Hardtop which went undefeated in NHRA Eliminator class that year is now for sale. No car had ever gone the whole racing season undefeated before. So it made track history. Gateway Classic Cars tells us it comes with a portfolio of documents dating all the way back to 1972, with nostalgic photos and articles describing its unprecedented dominance. It should be noted that the prototype engine and transmission were pulled from the car by Buick before it was sold at the end of the '72 season. This Gran Sport has the panache and provenance that most collectors can only dream of. What a fine addition it would be to any muscle car collection.

Black Friday proved to be very green as several automakers posted U.S. light vehicle sales gains during November. A total of 1.4 million cars and trucks rolled off dealership lots, putting overall sales up 3.7 percent compared to November of last year. The numbers have been released by WardsAuto.com. Their data center provides the most trusted numbers for new car sales.
General Motors, the nation’s largest car manufacturer, said its total sales increased 10.2 percent to 252,603 cars and trucks. Meanwhile Ford, the second largest U.S. automaker, reported its sales rose 5.1 percent to 191,715 vehicles. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) bucked the trend in November. The automaker said its U.S. sales fell 14.6 percent to 159,536 cars and trucks as it made big cuts in sales to rental car companies.
The big Japanese automakers all posted sales gains in November. Toyota, the largest Japanese car manufacturer, said it sold 197,645 vehicles last month, a 4.3 percent increase from the same month in 2015. Meanwhile Honda’s overall sales jumped 6.5 percent from November 2015 results.
So far a total of 15.8 million cars and trucks have been sold in the U.S. during 2016, a 0.1 percent increase over last year at this time.

Believe it or not, Streetside Classics out of Tampa, Florida says this 1928 Durant M2 has only 44k original miles. The M2 was only made by Durant for one year in 1928. This is a real vintage collector car that will impress everyone at your local car show. You will be charmed by the rythimic chug of the 153 cubic-inch four-cylinder motor. I am impressed that so many decent cars are available in the hobby these days at affordable prices. The seller is from Loretto, Ontario, Canada. He says it is the "standout color combo that turns heads." While not a show car, he says you can drive it and enjoy it. Here is another great buy for the price. A collector from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina posted a 1967 Buick Grand Sport Convertible for sale this week. The seller says it comes with a 400 ci Stage 1 motor. He indicates that it runs and drives well and he believes it has mostly original paint. Wow! Somebody have this one inspected. We'd like to have a look at it. He says it comes with an automatic transmission, power steering, tilt steering, speed minder and a power top. You never see a 1965 Mustang Convertible in this price range anymore. Please have it inspected. But if it is as good as it looks ... Wow! A burgundy 1965 Mustang Convertible was listed by Showdown Auto in Clinton Twp, Michigan. They tell us it is a fun driver, built to drive and enjoy. The paint is not perfect but will show nicely at local shows, according to the ad copy. It is a 289 ci V8 car with a three-speed manual transmission. It features front buckets and a console. The private seller from Greenville, Texas tells us it has a fiberglass body, Ford 302 HO motor, Edelbrock 4-bbl, C6 automatic transmission, power brakes, windows and seats.
