Sometime in the future we're gonna' be lookin' back at 2009 and we'll be thinkin' "those were the good old days." The prices on collector cars today are so "right" you can almost buy anything you want for walkin' around money. That is one reason why so many collector cars are selling in this market.

As we were getting ready to publish this newsletter several times we had to make last minute changes ... we were having to delete SOLD cars before we could tell you about them here. See the SOLD Feature below. Cars that are selling are selling quickly. The momentum of this market is definitely picking up. All week the number of buyers shopping for cars was at all time highs. We noticed that '50s cars were selling. No surprise. Tri-Five Chevys are smokin hot.

If you want to take advantage of some of the incredible bargain prices in our DEAL of the DAY feature below you'll have to be quick. Grab the phone while you read this so you can be prepared to call. There are almost 2,000 people reading this letter right now just like you. Nearly three times that number will read this newsletter before it expires. Time is of the essence. With some muscle cars advertised in this newsletter for under $10,000 and street rods for under $20,000, you'll have to move fast.

CORVETTE OVERTAKES CAMARO
As we are looking over the early results of statistics we get monthly from the Google and Yahoo search engines, it looks like Corvettes are in higher demand right now than Camaros. For the past three years Camaros have been the most sought after collector cars among internet buyers. But during the last thirty days on Google there are more buyers searching for Corvette muscle cars than Camaros. Even the Pontiac GTO has passed up Camaro in Google searches. That is the first time we have seen GTOs so strongly in demand. Watch for a complete report on the top cars buyers are looking for. We will publish our results right here in next week's edition of the Cars On Line Daily Update newsletter.

THIS WEEK's TOP VIDEOS
You've heard us proclaim the merits of video advertising every week for the last year here in the newsletter. The classic car dealers who have begun to use the internet video technology in their advertising are seeing incredible results. Recently we've noticed that a lot more private sellers are uploading videos with their ads as well. You'll want to check out this 1967 Plymouth GTX posted by a seller in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Watch the video and you'll get a chance to see a walk-around, as well as hear the 440 engine. The seller says the drivetrain has been rebuilt and driven less than 5,000 miles. He says the rest of the car has been cosmetically restored. It has a very high quality repaint of its original QQ1 Dark Red Poly paint with newer base coat/clear coat. In the ad copy you'll find that the seller promises to include a buildsheet, fendertag and a window sticker.

You'll see the '67 GTX on the front page of our website today. That's one way to get prime position on our website. All the seller had to do was give us a video of his car when he listed it with a regular Run Till Sold or
SLIDE SHOW ad. With a paid ad on our website, we will run your video for no extra charge in the Car Tube video display on our front page. Just type the video link into your ad copy with your Run Till Sold or SLIDE SHOW ad. It is currently the best deal on the internet. (If you don't already have your video uploaded to an internet page, you can also upload the video to our Car Tube interface and we will host it for you.)

Kumbera Motors, a broker from Illinois, has begun posting videos with their Cars On Line ads recently. One of them is a real kick to watch. See the 1928 Ford Woody Sedan Delivery  just posted by Kumbera. They bill it as a Surfers Rat Rod Woody. You'll see the video embedded in their ad layout. You'll also see it posted on our front page as one of our featured Car Tube videos. Click here to view the video on the old school 1928 Ford Woody Rat Rod. One of the things I noticed about the way this car is built ... it uses sculpted cutaway flames. The rest of the engine compartment is open. Neat idea. It has a 350 Chevy motor and is pretty nicely done for a Rat Rod. By the way, the asking price is only $21,500. Click here for a link to the entire inventory for Kumbera Motors.

PROJECT CARS

1969 Mustang Fastback
fast 406 stroker

1967 Pontiac GTO
real 242 GTO, 4-spd

1938 Ford Deluxe

must sell quick

A 1969 Mustang Fastback street machine (shown above left) was listed from Keystone Heights, Florida and the seller says the car is fast with a 406 stroker motor. So the car is together but from the photos it obviously needs to be taken to the next level. Right now it looks like a stunt car from a Mad Max movie. The 1967 Pontiac GTO (shown above center) from Metheun, Massachusetts looks like a lot of good work was done. You must inspect to see if it was done right. But it looks like an easy one to complete. The seller says it is a real 242 GTO with a 4-speed. And for all you street rodders looking for a project to finish, check out the 1938 Ford Deluxe 5-Window Coupe (shown above right) from Marston, Missouri. It has a 350 Chevy motor, 350 Turbo auto, 9" Ford rear end, has been mini tubbed, has 4-link, Mustang II front with power disc brakes, suicide doors with power openers, power windows, power brakes and power trunk opener.

And there's more:

PRICE CHANGES PAGE
Don't forget to check the Price Changes page today. Everybody was lowering their prices in the last few days. Note the price drop on this outstanding, top quality 1936 Ford Street Rod Truck from Classic Car Marketing in Orange, California. This incredible rod was stretched 10 inches and set up on a full Air Ride suspension for that low, lean, look. At the time it was listed the seller was asking $105,000, and from the photos, it looked like it was worth every penny. But the owner has dropped the price to $65,000 to move it now. At that price we'll see some serious money taking a look at this gorgeous street rod. They tell us it has '36 Ford truck fenders, '33 Ford grille, and is equipped with all tinted real glass. They say the running boards and rear fenders have been extended by 8 inches to finish the low flowing effect.

 TODAY'S  FEATURED  NEW LISTINGS

COLLECTOR CONVERTIBLES
Whether you are talking muscle cars or classic cars from other eras, convertibles are always considered the most important old cars to collect. Newsletter readers know that we always highlight the featured convertibles here. This week Classical Gas Motors of Texas listed an elegant black 1962 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible which is said to have been owned by American National Hockey League player Brett Hull. In his NHL career Hull won two Stanley Cups (with the Detroit Red Wings and the Dallas Stars.) His is third all time in goals scored in the NHL with 741. His father was all-time great Bobby Hull and Brett was raised in the Chicago area. This car was featured at the Volo Auto Museum, north of Chicago, and is now for sale at Classical Gas. 1962 was the 60th anniversary year for Cadillac and they celebrated by loading up the Eldorado with many upgrades that mark the '62 Eldorado Biarritz as being innovative for that time. Color keyed moldings were introduced, and so was the dual braking system. Backup, turning and stop lights were all combined behind one lens. This was also the year that a new frame and suspension was introduced to improve handling. Classical Gas tells us that 1,450 of these models were built while only 100 are known to exist today.

Fastlane Classic Cars of St. Charles, Missouri listed a very rare and desirable 1964 Ford Thunderbird Convertible which they say is a tonneau roadster and has the 428 big block engine with Tri Power. They say it is an older restoration.

In 1964, Oldsmobile was in trouble. Very low production numbers were the result making it an important year for Oldsmobile collectors. Here is a rare 1964 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Convertible from Streetside Classics in North Carolina.
1963 Ford Thunderbird Convertible, Fastlane Classic Cars, MO, 390 4V, FMX
1964 Chevy Impala Convertible, Northwest Auto Sales, OH, red/red, extra clean

STREET RODS FOR SALE
...

The highly stylized and classic highboy look at perfect on this 1934 3-Window Coupe from Troy, Missouri. They private seller used a SLIDE SHOW ad very effectively to promote this done street rod. He says it has a TCI Stage 3 chassis, Curry 9" rear end and Sanderson headers.

Here's another custom Pro Street look on a 1940 Willys from Fastlane Speed and Rod Shop in Mission, Kansas. You can order one just like this in any color you choose all brand new. They will build you one in four to six weeks. The big block 454 and HPC headers are included.

Old Town Automobile in Huntingtown, Maryland just posted a 1932 Ford 2-Door Sedan that is done like a '50s style resto rod ... very original looking. They say it has a 12-volt system, flathead V8, 39 Lincoln transmission, juice brakes, Super Bell dropped axle and 16" wire wheels

We thought this should have been a DEAL of the DAY candidate. First of all it is a 1934 Chevy 5-Window Coupe, fairly rare in itself. The Illinois seller says it was built in the '80s and you can tell by the interior. He posted it in a nice SLIDE SHOW ad which allows you a look at the detail.

May be the most interesting ride in the Street Rod Section this week is this 1933 Ford Speedster. It has a Rats body and Alloway chassis with Heidt's independent rear suspension. They says the underside is as nice as the top, and that it has both leather and air conditioning.

RARE IMPORTED LATE MODELS ...

Kumbera Motors, an Illinois broker, has listed several rare late model sports cars this week. How would you like to have the neighbors see this 2006 Aston Martin DB9 Convertible sitting in your driveway? It has the V12 motor, but they say it only has 9,800 miles.

Just introduced last year, here is a desirable 2008 Audi R8 and Kumbera Motors says it only has 2k original miles. Its powerful stance rivals the Aston Martin, and with the 420 hp V8 it should outperform it as well. The color is called Mugelle Blue Pearl.
In our Porsche Section today there is a 2002 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo listed by Fastlane Classic Cars of Missouri. Even the Lapis blue paint looks fast. They say it has the 2.6L 6 cylinder produces 415 hp, all wheel drive, 4-wheel disc brakes and a 6-speed.

1967 Chevy Nova SS Pro Street from Haledon, NJ, has 406, Doug Nash 5-spd

'60s COLLECTOR TREASURES ...

Only two years ago these '50s and '60s Desotos were going for huge money at the Barrett Jackson Auction in Arizona. Here is a 1960 DeSoto Adventurer with the big fins offered for sale by The Auto Collections in Las Vegas. The price is only $29,500.

A real collector value has been listed from Fairburn, Georgia. Check out the Turquoise 1961 Cadillac DeVille. The seller says the drivetrain has been rebuild and technologies like air conditioning have been upgraded so that the buyer will experience a more modern day ride. See more for sale in the Cadillac Section.
CLASSIC SPORTS CARS ...

This rare 1962 Triumph TR3B from Petaluma, California is said to be all original, TCF/270-LO, with a certified copy of factory record. The seller says it is in excellent mechanical condition, has a good interior with good seats, tonneau, soft top, side curtains and wire wheels.

One of the most popular collector cars from the '50s, this 1955 Chevy Nomad from Paso Robles, California is a very desirable car in this current market. It is a mild custom with Gypsy red and India Ivory inside and out, waffle pattern interior
1964 Ford Country Squire Wagon, Unique Specialty & Classics, MN, 46k miles, see photos
1983 Chevy Malibu Wagon from Ham Lake, MN, driver quality, updates, $6,500

A 1951 Mercury Lead Sled has just been listed from Greentown, Indiana by the builder, Mike Lanning. He says the hood has been wedge cut (like Hirata Merc). All the panels were welded together and smoothed. Door handles shaved. Buick trim altered to fit. See video in extra link.

You'll like this extreme radical 1953 Chevy Belair resto mod custom just listed by Colorado Corvettes in Englewood, Colorado. They say every panel was hand crafted. They used a late model corvette LT-1 fuel injected motor, Turbo 400 trans, with Air Ride.

CLASSIC AMERICAN CARS ...

You get real quiet when you see a classic 1930 Auburn Sedan like this one. Like you don't want the moment to pass. This is so special. The seller from Marysville, Indiana doesn't say much about it in the description. He doesn't have to. It is an older restoration. Call him for the details.

The Last Detail, a shop in North Chicago, posted this beautiful 1948 Chrysler New Yorker in all its Royal Maroon splendor. They have a lot of pictures with the ad. See the Highlander plaid interior. They say it was a California car until recently.

This 1947 Lincoln Coupe V12 should have been in our DEAL of the DAY but it came in too late to include it there. The seller from Helena, Arkansas says it has had a frame on restoration with only 3,800 miles recorded since the rebuild. The asking price is only $28,500.

It has been lowered. They say the interior could be updated. See more custom SUV's for sale in the Sport Utility Section online.

STREET MACHINES AND RESTO RODS ...

Another great video you'll want to view is the 1968 Camaro Convertible Pro Touring show car offered for say by Kumbera Motors. The car comes from Arkansas. Not only does it look good, it is equipped with a 502 Ram Jet engine and many performance upgrades.

You might say it is a Thunderbolt clone or a street machine, but this 1964 Ford Falcon Futura from Columbiana, Ohio has definitely been mini tubbed. The black on black car looks as mean as it drives. It has a 4-link rear with frame connectors and Mustang II front suspension.

A 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 from Maple Grove, Minnesota has some custom upgrades ... lots of them. Just look at the ad, the list goes on forever. They say it will run 12's in the quarter-mile. It has wheel studs, 4.88 gears and Mark Williams yoke.

Like new, Cobra clone

1969 C.O.P.O. Camaro
427/425 hp, 4-spd

Where do you begin? There are so many incredible muscle car recreations this week. For example, see the SLIDE SHOW ad on a 1969 C.O.P.O. Camaro tribute (shown above right) car that was listed out of Kalamazoo, Michigan. The seller says it has an accurate and detailed 427/425 hp big block just as it would have come from the factory in '69. It is the result of a nut and bolt restoration which was completed in 2009. He says there are only 121 miles on the car. Streetside Classics from Charlotte, North Carolina have just listed a 1969 Ford Fairlane Cobra 429 look-a-like (shown above center) that has a sweet paint job. They say the motor is upgraded so it will out run a Torino Cobra hands down. And the beautiful 1971 Buick GSX tribute (shown above left) from Rogers, Minnesota has a 455 big block set up as a Stage 1. This car is worth way more than the asking price of $19,500. Hurry!

DEAL OF THE DAY
It is a sign of the times. Prices continue to drop on some very nice collector cars. Newsletter readers know that we feature the best ones here in the DEAL of the DAY preview. In this DEAL of the DAY section of our newsletter we give readers first chance at the best deals among the fresh ads on our website. Then during the coming week you'll see these cars featured on the home page of our website in the DEAL of the DAY graphic that looks like a "rear view mirror."

When we talk about street rods we use the term "starter car" to describe the kind of hot rod that has been restored but has only minimal equipment to modernize the ride. These cars are usually at the low end of the price scale. Here is a 1938 Chevy Coupe from Waukesha, Wisconsin that we think is much more than a starter car, but still has a starter car price. Because it is a Chevy it is already rare, because there are far more Ford street rods out there than Chevys. This one has a 350 small block Chevy engine, Turbo 400 tranny and the seller says it has a new Mustang II front suspension, posi rear end and popular Laker shifter. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday, because the asking price is only $18,000. Hurry! And I mean, H-u-r-r-r-r-r-r-y!

For the second week in a row there is a classic T-Bird for under $30,000! Way under. A seller from Jefferson City, Missouri posted his black 1956 Ford Thunderbird Convertible which he says has only 49k miles. He says in the ad that the body still has its original paint, so it's showing a lot of scrapes, dings, dents and scratches, plus the rocker panels and bottom of the quarter panels are also rusty. He says there are a number of updates, including new brakes, brake cylinders, shoes, rear lines, rear hose and master cylinder. Although it looks okay in the photos we doubt that it is any better than a driver class car. But it will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday, because the asking price is just $19,500.

Wow! This is just the neatest opportunity. Here is a 1957 Ford Ranchero that was listed for sale out of Two Rivers, Wisconsin. The seller is not trying to over sell this little truck. I would guess it is not more than an average No. 3 condition car at best. And he definitely does not say it has been restored. This first year Ranchero is said to have a 289 V8 engine that was dated in the 1960's and an automatic transmission. The seller says it has excellent chrome and solid floors. You can see in the photos that it has been fitted with a tonneau cover. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. I hope you're sitting down when you read this price ... it's only $6,500 !!

Don't forget! Have these cars inspected before you buy. One man's great opportunity is another man's nightmare. You have to know if the car is right for you. See the Cars On Line Inspection Service at http://www.cars-on-line.com/insp-1stpg.html

Mopar enthusiasts are gonna' git a little excited about this 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 from Portland, Oregon. The seller says this is a legitimate muscle car at a very affordable price. He says it has a 360 ci engine with a 4-barrel, automatic transmission, bucket seats and a console with gauges. Most important, the seller says it runs great, and is very original. This car will be our DEAL of the DAY later next week. The asking price is only $6,500. Man, I still can't believe it. This is a desirable muscle car for walkin' around money. As always, don't forget to inspect it before you buy.

Here's another wonderful opportunity to own a muscle car that won't cost you that much. A Virginia collector put up this 1972 Chevy Nova SS for sale. He says it is a fairly fresh restoration and if you look at the photos you will have to admit it looks awfully nice. He describes it as a super straight body with Nassau blue base clear paint. He says it has all new black bucket seat interior, strong 355 pump gas small block, TH350 tranny with 2800 converter and 3.73 posi rear. "Just about every piece of chrome is new as well," he says in the ad. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week because this is a lot of car for the money ... only asking $12,500. Actually he says he has more than that invested in it just recently.

Don't forget! Have these cars inspected before you buy. One man's great opportunity is another man's nightmare. You have to know if the car is right for you. See the Cars On Line Inspection Service at http://www.cars-on-line.com/insp-1stpg.html

Don't misunderstand ... we are not talking concourse quality here, but this 1979 Ford F350 Custom presents an opportunity to have a turnkey mudder that you can really have some fun with. The seller even says he thinks you could turn it into a show truck if that's what you want. He says the truck was just finished and has no miles. You'll have to call to find out what that means. He does not say it was a restoration. He says it has a big 466 .030 V8 engine built with Arias racing pistons, Super Cobra Jet heads, 610 lift Crane cam, Holley double pumper, molly rods, roller rockers and more. He says it is all Ford steel with no putty and no rust. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week with an asking price of $10,500.

Look at what a sweet car this is ... from Marston, Missouri comes a 1967 Chevy Nova that really looks outstanding in these photos. The seller says he's looking for a quick sale. The car is said to have a 383 stroker motor, 350 transmission and all new original looking interior. He says the new paint still needs to be color sanded and buffed. He says it has new tires, nice American Racing wheels, a new exhaust and new 650 cfm Demon carburetor. What do you think this car would appraise out for? ... as our DEAL of the DAY next week they are asking only $14,000. Hurry!

More cars could have qualified for this week's DEAL of the DAY feature than we have days to publish them. Often there are more cars than we can feature on our front page every week. Here is a list of cars that just missed the cut for the DEAL of the DAY feature. Remember, you saw them here first:
