You may want to bookmark these two, because they are updated in real time as the ads are loaded onto our website. These links will be good through Thursday, March 15, 2012. Then on Friday, March 16, 2012, you'll get a new version of the newsletter and a fresh new listings page with real time updates on new ads for the coming week.)
The last two weeks have been awesome for collector car sales. It's as though the Spring Car Market is happening already ... very early to be seeing so many cars selling. Check out what has been selling by looking at the SOLD thru CARS ON LINE feature below. Across the board a diverse cross section of cars are selling. A full 15 percent of the cars sold through our site last week were classic 1950's cars. Just under nine percent were Mopar muscle cars, and 8.5 percent were Pontiac muscle cars (half of those were GTOs.) Camaros made up 6.8 percent of our private sales last week. I was surprised to see so many classic Jaguars in the mix. This has been an encouraging year for collectors. I think we're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. (Remember, our SOLD thru CARS ON LINE Feature only includes private Run Till Sold ads. We do not have complete numbers on our Dealer Network sales.)
There is a fresh "face" in the Car On Line listings again this week. Classic and Collectible Cars from Las Vegas, Nevada aspires to offer the most desirable cars at affordable prices. They say that's their niche, and you only have to view their inventory to know they aren't exaggerating. Take this stunning Matador red 1970 Oldsmobile 442 Sport Coupe for instance. They tell us that it has a #s matching 455 big block Oldsmobile engine. In the description they list a TH400 automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, Vintage air conditioning, sport steering wheel, 5 all chrome Super Stock II wheels, trumpet dual exhaust and 12-bolt posi. They say it is an older restoration with a few choice upgrades, such as Hotchkiss sway bars, springs and torque arms, and a March serpentine belt system. All in all this is a great muscle car to enjoy and take to local shows. Their asking price is only $19,995. See what I mean? We're glad to have Classic and Collectible Cars advertising with our Cars On Line Dealer Network. Click here for a complete list of their diverse inventory.
Classical Gas Enterprises out of Texas has our top video feature again this week. They just listed a black 1947 Ford Tudor Custom with very tastefully done custom modifications. This street rod will surprise you because most '47s are not styled and detailed to this extent. It was featured in Northern Rodder magazine (see copy of the article on the second page of the ad linked above.) It also has won multiple awards including a Street Rodder top ten at Goodguys. "The steel body is coated in a PPG Black Jade pearl that was really laid down right," Classical Gas tells us. And the custom mods are extensive. It was restored with the body off the frame. The hood and deck have been shaved, and the headlights and taillights have been frenched to drastically change the look. But wait till you hear it in the video. Click here to view and hear the video. That's a 406 ci big block cackling at you. The car also has a Mustang II front end, 2400 stall converter, front disc brakes and much more. It sure has a nice look and stance as presented here in the video.
You'll also want to view a video of this 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge which has been listed by a collector in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The seller says it is a Real Deal, documented Judge, original Carousel red car fully restored. It is a date correct Ram Air car, but has been upgraded to Ram Air IV heads. And you can tell the difference when you hear it run. Click here to view and hear this GTO Judge in video . See if you can tell the difference between intakes. It also has the hideaway headlights, air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes and a rear spoiler.

The seller says this one won a second place award at the 2012 Detroit Autorama last month. They say it is laser straight and has a Mustang II front end.
A 1937 Nash Lafayette leads a strong selection of street rods and hot rods available in today's Street Rod Section. They say it has "flawless Torch red" paint spread over a steel body, with a fresh Mustang 5.0L V8 .030 and 5-speed transmission. They say there are only 5,219 miles on it since the build.
They say over $150,000 was spent in building this 1934 Ford Cabriolet offered by a private collector in Gadsden, Alabama. A nice resto rod, looks very original, old school. It is equipped with Fatman Engineering chassis, Paul Atkins interior, Street & Performance transmission, finished in 2010.
The popularity of old school style rat rods is undeniable. Here is a 1931 Ford Rat Rod from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Of course, this is an all steel body, with a big Chevy 283, 3X2s, Turbo 350 transmission, Ford 9", 4-link setup, '40 Ford front suspension and bomber style seats. Low and go custom.
California dreamin' added more style to the rat rod genre when customizers started getting creative. But as we began to run out of Model T's to cut, we began seeing more like this 1923 Ford T-Bucket reproduction, custom fiberglass recreations with the look and feel of the California T-Bucket. This one is advertised for sale by P.J.'s Auto World in Clearwater, Florida.
And there's more:
1932 Ford Highboy Roadster from San Antonio, TX, stainless chassis, glass body, Ford 9"

They say it sleeps 6 comfortably with a full slide out, solar panel and 2 electric steps. See more for sale in the RV-Motorhome Section.
CTR Motors, from the Bay area of California, is in "California car country." They dig up treasures like this 1957 Fuelie Corvette with the 283/283 hp motor. The Ermine white paint with white top is elegant. They tell us it is #s matching and perfect! They list it as a 28k miles car.
A restoration shop owner from Heber City, Utah has listed his 1961 Fuelie Corvette in a multi-photo SLIDE SHOW ad. It has the 283- 315 hp, with a Duntoff Hi lift camshaft and pistons and Rochester fuel injection. In the ad copy the seller goes over the important numbers with you.
Many Corvette collectors prefer the 1958 model because it had one-year only items like the washboard hood and extra chrome items. So this 1958 Corvette from Okoboji, Iowa has strong collector appeal. The seller says it has the 283 with dual quads, 4-speed transmission and both tops.straight. $45,000
A very sharp 1962 Corvette is available for sale from a collector in Tucson, Arizona. He says it is an authentic 340 hp solid lifter car, with original motor, T-10 4-speed, all rebuilt and performing excellently. He says the restoration was done to NCRS specification with Al Knoch interior.

A 1954 Ford 2-Dr Ranch Wagon has been listed by Classic Car Marketing in Southern California. You'll find it is super hard to find a 2-Dr Mainliner Ranch Wagon. They say this one has had tasteful upgrades such as, front disc brakes, a 1955 Thunderbird 292 Y block and backed by a 1963 T10 4-speed.
The seller from Dewey, Arizona says you will be hard pressed to find a 1953 Chrysler Town & Country Wagon like this one. Has won local awards. See the seven-layer mahogany wood, pot metal is like brand new, mint dash, all gauges work, new Alligator interior.
See more for sale in the Station Wagon Section online.
Chevy 2-Dr Nomads have been the hot ticket in the station wagon segment of the automotive market ever since Chevrolet introduced them in 1955. Here is a 1957 Chevrolet Nomad from Lincoln, Nebraska. The seller says everything is new! That's due to a frame-off restoration, with mild custom upgrades like a new 350 crate motor. They say it is show quality inside and out with a custom interior.
According to the private seller from Warrenville, Illinois, this 2003 Chevy NASCAR Monte Carlo was the winner of the 2009 VSCDA Road America 15 Lap Stock Car Reunion Race, and has a record of nostalgia racing competition also raced at Road America.
Where would you go to buy a turnkey vintage race car to run in SCCA or VSCCA racing? CTR Motors in Livermore, California specializes in selling historic race cars to race car collectors. Today they have a 1969 Lola Can Am race car that was raced in the '70s. Turnkey and ready to race with Keith Black 510 ci Big Block.
Eye Candy, that's what I call this old 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup just listed by Classic & Collectible Cars out of Las Vegas. This is a beautiful older restoration that has upgrades such as a 283 V8, wood bed and newer paint, chrome and interior. This truck is so sharp you wonder why Chevrolet didn't dress it like this.
A popular body style that is just now coming into its own is this 1965 Chevy C-10 Custom Pickup from Sarasota, Florida. This one is becoming more important in certain collector circles. The seller says it has a 350 V8, shortbed, air conditioned, and the asking price is affordable at $18,988.

As often happened back in the day, runabouts or touring cars were often modified to make them into speedsters. This 1923 Studebaker Speedster started life as a 5-passenger touring car modified some 30 or 40 years ago. This one should have been a DEAL of the DAY. They are only asking $10,000.
A 1935 Ford Cabriolet Deluxe Model 48 was listed by Classic & Collectible Cars in Las Vegas. They say it has a flathead V8, 85hp, 3-speed manual, rumble seat, aluminum intake, green apple wire wheels. Cars On Line's
DEAL OF THE DAYPREVIEW
In the popular DEAL of the DAY preview we give you first shot at all the cars that will be featured in the DEAL of the DAY "rear view mirror" seen daily on the Cars On Line home page. Our fans wait eagerly each day to see which bargains will be highlighted. But often these cars sell right here in the newsletter before they have a chance to be viewed on the front page. If you aren't a newsletter subscriber you'll never know what you're missing. Newsletter readers are able to preview the best bargains on our website right here in the DEAL of the DAY feature. You'll always see it here first.
A custom car fan from Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania just listed his 1969 Camaro Z/28 Pro Street, and this is a deal you don't want to miss. This seems to be one of those situations where the seller knows this is a good deal, but he just wants to move it quickly. He's willing to let someone have it for below the average value. He says it has a ZZ502/502, 400 Turbo automatic transmission with manual reverse valve, Cheetah shifter and linelock and a 3500 torque converter. The 12-bolt rear end has 456 gears and is Posi. The car is also equipped with 4-wheel power disc brakes, ladder bar, Koni coilovers, Ceramic coated Hooker comp headers, 3.5" complete exhaust and 6-point cage. The seller says it was a race car much of its life, but he converted it back over for street use. It will be our DEAL of the DAY for Saturday. The asking price is only $18,500. Wow! You'll have to hurry on this one. I can't imagine this lasting the weekend at that price.
Here's something you should get a kick out of. Brandon Classics, the collector car dealer that operates out of their museum and antique mall complex in Griffith, Georgia, is offering a unique 1950 Ford Shorty Custom for sale. The body has been shortened, narrowed and the roof cut to convert it as a roadster. All the original panels were custom fitted, according to their description of the car. The purpose was to make it one of the most unique custom roadsters that you would ever lay eyes on. With plenty of power from the small block Chevy V-8 engine, it has been nicknamed the Eight Ball. The exterior paint is Pearl white with custom blue flames complemented by a 2-tone blue and white interior. If you like to watch heads turn in amazement just wait till you drive this Shorty Ford classic. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Sunday. The asking price is only $11,900.
A significant amount of quality custom work was invested in this 1934 Plymouth Coupe listed by a private seller from Grosse Point, Michigan. From the photos and the description you would have to venture a guess that the original restoration is a little ripe and may need some attention. But what a great car to get started on. A lot of recent work has already been done, according to the ad copy. The seller says it has anew engine, paint and bodywork. He cites numerous upgrades to mechanical, interior and body. It has a rumble seat. You'll have to call to see if there are any remaining issues with the car. But the way it looks in the photos this would be a lot of car for the money. It's priced below what a starter car would cost. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. The asking price is only $26,000. Hurry!
Don't forget! Have these cars inspected before you buy. One man's great opportunity is another man's nightmare. You have to know if the car is right for you. See the Cars On Line Inspection Service at http://www.cars-on-line.com/insp-1stpg.html
For a short stint at the end of the '50s, Ford decided to enter its Thunderbird into NASCAR competition. It was in that period that you could buy a Thunderbird and get it with some racing equipment from the factory. Here is a 1960 Ford Thunderbird 2-Dr Hardtop which came with the 352 Police Interceptor motor and a rare NASCAR style 3-speed transmission. The seller, from San Diego, California, says only a handful of cars were produced with the NASCAR 3-speed. The 3-speed had the overdrive feature. He says it has solid California body and original floors. He says the transmission shifts like butter, and that the car is road worthy. You can tell from the photos that it is a No. 3 condition driver. The seller indicates it will need paint and some chrome replaced. But it will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. The asking price is only $8,495.
Although the seller could have provided better photos, you can kind of make out what we have here. It is a 1969 Ford Bronco from Grayson, Kentucky. It would probably be worth taking a look at. The seller says it is a stock original truck, and remains rust-free. He says it has undergone a frame-off restoration with all the original sheet metal still there. He says it now has an incorrect top but that the full top and rear seat are available to include in the sale. The key factor here might be that the seller says it only has 42k miles. It has a Ford 302 and a 3-speed transmission. The seller does not say whether they are original to the car, so you should ask. But this is clearly a truck that would be worth an inspection. It will be our DEAL of the DAY next week. The seller is only asking $13,500. A stock original Bronco might have some investment value going forward. But don't buy it for that reason. Buy it because you want to have some fun with it.
In the anals of history, the Edsel, made by Ford Motor Co, is actually more popular today as a collector car than it was as a new car back in the day. Here is a 1959 Edsel Ranger, the low end car in the Edsel lineup. The seller says it has new paint, a new interior and a rebuilt 292 V8 engine. The seller from Scottsbluff, Nebraska says it runs and drives great, and has new brakes. If you want something truly rare and unusual to drive this is your car. An Edsel is always a big draw at car shows. And the price won't be prohibitive. That's why we have it in our DEAL of the DAY feature. The seller's asking price is only $8,500.
Don't forget! Have these cars inspected before you buy. One man's great opportunity is another man's nightmare. You have to know if the car is right for you. See the Cars On Line Inspection Service at http://www.cars-on-line.com/insp-1stpg.html
Some cars just always sell, and sell quickly. One of the cars that is always popular on our pages is a 1971 Porsche 914 with air conditioning. The seller, from Palm City, Florida, says you must see this one to believe it is as nice as it is. He says there is "zero rust" and that it is all original with a mint interior. He said the car was in storage for 20 years. Now that they have gotten it out of storage and road worthy again, he says it is a nice running original car. This one has original fuel injection and comes with full documentation. The seller says it was repainted once just before going into storage. You will see it in our DEAL of the DAY feature this week. The asking price is $12,500.
Often there are more cars that deserve to be in the DEAL of the DAY than we can schedule for our front page feature. Here is a list of cars that just missed the cut for the DEAL of the DAY this week. Remember, you saw them here first:
