The Great Race 2008
May 30-August 2, 2008 - New York, NY
The greatest automotive adventure of 2008. Recreating the New York to
Paris race of 1908, The Great Race 2008 will be the event of a lifetime.
Participants can join the race for any part of the journey. The race will last
65 days, just like the original "around the world" rally. Participants can sign
up for 3-day segments, or run the whole race. There are three legs: Great
Race North America, Great Race China and Great Race Europe. The North
American leg is the first, starting in New York City, it will have stops in Hyde
Park, Albany, Syracuse and Buffalo, N.Y. The route then moves north to Canada
where scheduled stops include Oshawa (Toronto), where a number of regional
participants will join the race; Ottawa; Sault Ste. Marie;Thunder Bay, (where
the teams will have a day off); Winnipeg, Edmonton, Canmore and Kelowna,
with the finish in Vancouver, British Columbia. Get more information and
