1969 Mercury Cougar Eliminator Replica
Mercury Cougar Eliminator Replica. This 1969 Mercury Cougar was brought up from LA by the previous owners and was virtually rust free.
It was stripped to bare metal down to the shell and completely rebuilt. All original panels and numbers match the drive train. Have pics. of the restoration. The car was painted all apart. Every part painted separately. All the Eliminator parts were purchased from a wrecked Eliminator and are all original Ford parts except the front chin spoiler.
All new rubbers & seals throughout and all chrome was re-chromed. All parts refurbished or replaced. All original tinted sun-x glass. It has it's original 351W V8 that was just re-built and properly broken in.
This was a stock rebuild with Shelby aluminum intake and the original exhaust manifolds ceramic coated. Have all specs on the engine build along with all receipts on car build.
AFX auto transmission is in good working order and was detailed and serviced in the build. Original 3.25 gear rear end also in good working order and also detailed in build.
Also has front disc brakes and power steering. This car was originally blue on blue but was changed to white on blue to replicate the Eliminator that was wrecked.
The body was epoxy primered over bare metal then (slick sand) high build primered all block sanded out straight, then 3 coats base and 3 coats clear on bright white finish. Everything on the car works including rebuilt clock. The original style steel wheels are included but the torque thrust wheels pictured can be purchased for an extra $1,000. BF Goodrich TA's are brand new as are the wheels. The car currently has collector plates and is only driven on sunny days. This car was built by me (everything except seat recovering and engine rebuild.)
