1969 Dodge Charger R/T

Dodge Charger R/T. For Sale is my 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. Black, hardtop, red interior, red R/T rear stripe, 440, 4 speed, Dana and 50,200 original miles. Runs and drives great -- no power anything. Galen has looked at this car and said there was only one built like this one with these options in this color combination. While this is a very cool and desirable car this is NOT your ordinary '69 Charger so if you're looking for a "driver" hit the back button. This is a Vietnam car and I am looking for the next steward. Is it perfect? No, not by any stretch but it is beautiful. Here's the back story: Tony spent two tours in Viet Nam and came home to Ft. Bragg where he bought a new Corvette. He loaned the Vette to a friend who totaled it so Tony took the insurance money and went down to Royal Dodge where he bought this Charger brand new. He drove it home to Ely, MN and went to work for Reserve Mining. After a blizzard Tony (and a co-worker that I met at a local show last year) were plowing roads with a road grader and a bulldozer on Jan 20, 1970. At the end of the day Tony decided to cross a lake with the dozer on his way home since it was so slow while his pal took the road. Sometime during the night the Cat fell through the ice and he drowned. His mother would not allow his little brother Mike to sell the car -- ever. In fact, she wouldn't let him drive it until he finished high school. She passed away many years later and a mutual friend connected me with Mike. He told me about this car and sent me some photos so I immediately headed to Ely where I found it as he described and intact like it was 1970 complete with shackles, Keystones and big fat rear tires. It was a time capsule to be sure. It has been repainted and the 440 was overhauled at some point many years ago. I had to have it and so it went home with me. A friend of mine in Phoenix convinced me to sell it to him and I did so with a caveat that if he ever sold it, I get the first shot. True to his word he called me several years later and it has been in my garage ever since. Time to let go of this wonderful car as a home in AZ is calling our name. I know I'm going to regret this.

I have - in varying states of condition (but all laminated in clear plastic for preservation reasons):

Broadcast sheet (Great condition)
Chrysler Airtemp brochure cards delivered with new vehicles
Original Operator's manual and envelope
Original warranty booklet
Final inspection card from paint department at Chrysler
Original loan documents
Original payment book and loan docs from Universal CIT
1969 North Carolina temporary registration certificate
1969 Original permanent registration certificate
1969 Chrysler paints chip cards and tune up spec sheet
North Carolina correspondence to Tony's mother to contact CIT for title Letter from CIT detailing final settlement and condolences
North Carolina 1969 license plate
Original Dodge dealer metal badge from Royal Dodge
1970 Minnesota temp registration certificate
USPS money order stubs from 1969 and 1970 -- presumably used to make a car payment
US Army Temporary vehicle registration for FT Bragg
Other misc docs and stuff -- old work orders, repairs made, the pictures I got from Mike when he sold it to me -- ages ago
The four Keystones and white letter tires go with it too

As I said, I am looking more for a steward for this special car than a buyer. I don't think $69,500 is too much. 612-308-9032 Al
