1966 Mercury Park Lane Sedan

Mercury Park Lane Sedan. 410-V8- C6-automatic--22944 original miles . This car was just purchased in hayward california and brought to florida per transporter. It was bought at auction and sold with 22944 original miles and with clean california title. The story goes it was owned by a father who passed away many years ago and handed over to the son. The car has sat in his yard for 15 years.when i got the car i put gas down the carb and she fired right up// no bearin roll in the bottom end and not one lifter noise. She smoothed right out and sounds great. Looking at the pictures you will see how original and unmolested this car is and all the hard to find parts are still intact in all the correct places. The oil is very clean and the trans fluid is a pinkish red and has no burnt smell at all/ with being close to 50 years old the car has some bumps and bruises. Some moldings are scuffed up...the front fender extensions have broken lenses....the hub caps have minor scuffing or curb rash but still good driver quality. Pass fender in front has light damage but very fixable. The pass rear door has some cancer from a previous fix and needs some attention. Front bumper has a couple dings but can be used and re-chromed if needed or just good driver quality. The rear bumper looks great as the tail lights. Hood is very nice and hinges move freely. Trunk lid looks good with nice trim. Frame shows only light surface rust. Radiator support looks solid no issues. Torque boxes solid. Headliner is very nice. Rug just needs a cleaning no real wear spots or stains. Dash pad has one sun crack on driver side. Door panels look good. Driver seat shows one bad area -easy redo. Rear quarters solid/ look at the engine the california smog is still intact. How about that mercury washer bottle still sitting in its original holder. I haven't seen one of those in years so cool// nice correct breather and fan shroud intact. Correct ac unit in place....yes this is all numbers match car. I feel its worth restoring or a treasure trove of parts for a nice rag top convertible or 2dr marauder or a s-55 car. The drive-train could be cleaned up and detailed and dropped right in another restoration. Why spend thousands rebuilding a engine when you can use this low miles gem. 410 v8 are getting hard to find. The down side of my purchase is the auction lost the original keys so i cant get in the trunk. The ignition turns with a screw driver . There is a locking gas cap on the car also. The gas tank has a pin hole in it from sitting..here is your buck tag info....body-57f----color-r----trim--68---date-11l---dso--53---axle--6---trans-4------any questions call eddie 508 816 1325 or 352 564 0798 the car is in crystal river florida 34428.......if you need a transporter i can get you one... At your expense/ the car should be winched up on a trailer ...brake pedal is very low and no gas.....who knows what is in the tank as far as bad fuel..for more pictures go to:
