Ford F-100 Pickup. The body is steel except for the front fiberglass fenders. All new rubber, chrome side mirrors (door mounted), front chrome bumper, stainless model A taillights, and chrome door handles. New wood bed with painted strips and stainless hardware. The bedsides and front panel are new from Dennis Carpenter. The rear fenders are NOS pieces. The bed has a rear roll pan and chrome tailgate hinges with hidden latches.
The interior is all new with a recovered chevy truck bench seat, tilt column with chrome wheel, carpeted kick panels with speakers, fabric covered ABS headliner, fabric covered door panels, and carpet. It also has VDO gauges, and Alpine AM/FM CD player with speakers mounted behind the seat. The truck has a completely new wiring harness front to back.
The engine is a mildly built Ford 460 with Edelbrock Performer Cam, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley 750 carburetor, new radiator, chrome valve covers and breather, and all new lines, hoses, fittings, and air cleaner. It has dual exhaust with Smithy mufflers. Rebuilt Ford C-6 transmission and Chevy 10 bolt rear end.
The suspension and chassis have been cleaned and painted with new bushings, ball joints, etc. The front suspension is a Volarie torsion bar setup. The rear is stock F-100 but with lowered leaf springs. Ride height is approx 12" to the top of front bumper. It rides and handles more like a car than truck. The wheels are steelies with baby moons and trim rings. Tires are 235/70/15 fronts and 235/75/15 rears. A new firewall mounted booster and master cylinder handle braking.
The truck runs excellent and drives straight and true down the road. It is fresh with 500 miles since complete restoration.
