Dodge Charger RT/SE. Offered for sale is one of the rarest members of MOPAR's exclusive muscle car club...a TRUE factory V-code (440+6) Charger RTSE. This car is in the Chrysler Registry. In 1970 Dodge manufactured just 684 six pack Charger RT's. 347 cars were 4-speeds and 337 cars were automatics. This car has been decoded by Galen Govier and is listed as #165 of just 167 factory six pack cars currently recognized to exist. It has been estimated that fewer than 120 of the V-codes Chargers were produced with the SE trim. Next to the HEMI RT Chargers of which there were just 112 units in 1970...the V-Code RT Chargers are the second most rare of breed. This is an exceptional automobile in every way and a chance to own a rare piece of MOPAR muscle car history at very reasonable price.
This car has enjoyed a full Rotisserie Restoration and shows little wear. The engine is a period correct NOM 440cid, 390 hp 3x2bl V8, 727 automatic transmission, 8 3/4 rear end with standard 3:23 gearing, and power steering. Equipment includes Magnum 500 wheels, deluxe leather interior, wood grain trim, bucket seats and console. All V-code Chargers were assembled at the St Louis Plant. The car has a correct fender tag, door tag, and dash VIN plate.
During restoration the rear quarter panels were professionally replaced. The paint is FY1 TOP BANANA yellow with a unique and correct F8 GREEN leather and vinyl interior. The color combination, accented with wood trim looks great in person...it's certain that you won't see another one like it at shows. The car is in excellent condition throughout. The paint is gorgeous, body is laser straight and the trim is all in great form. The interior shows as new and the undercarriage shines like the top side of the car. She runs and drives excellent and turns heads everywhere when shown.
