Ford Street Rod/Restomod. You've seen Fords from the 1940s, but probably not like this 1941 2-door sedan. It was completely restored in 2006, but with a twist -- it was melded with a 2000 Mercury! It has all the look and style of a cool 1941 Ford, but with the comfort, convenience, and reliability of a late-model car.
It is powered by the Mercury's 4.6L motor and overdrive transmission, and uses its radiator and emissions equipment (dual exhaust with a great sound). But there's more! The entire Mercury dashboard and gauge package came along, as did the power steering, tilt column, and steering wheel. The cruise control works just like it did in the Mercury. The stereo and clock are there. The power window switches, dome lights, and electric wiper controls were brought over. The Mercury a/c would not fit under the Ford's tapered hood, so a Vintage Air unit was installed.
There are many additional features! Power front and rear disc brakes with a Mustang II front end. Frenched headlights from a 1953 Buick and taillights from a 1960 Oldsmobile. Hand-made nerf bars. Faux spotlights and side exhaust to complete the look.
The exterior is all steel. The paint was professionally done and is excellent! All chrome and moldings are in fabulous shape. It has reverse chrome wheels with billit caps (have baby moons as well) and Coker tires.
The interior has new seat cushions covered in beautiful Cadillac Oxblood material. The carpet and headliner are new and professionally done. The trunk is also carpeted with a matching spare tire cover and battery box.
This car is very well done and sorted out, with 2,000 miles since restoration. Don't just buy a street rod that looks great; buy one you can drive anywhere without compromise. See
