Dodge Coronet Convertible. HEMI POWERED
Look close...this is an exceptional car. Over $65,000. was invested to make this car what it is. The attention to the little details is what really makes this car. The project was started with a solid southern car. All the body panels are original (except front floors). It was then rotisseried. A new 426 hemi engine was dropped in and the additional expense of a cross ram (period correct) intake manifold was installed. The air cleaner is an original '65 hemi air cleaner (little details). Behind the hemi engine is a custom fitted Keisler 5 speed manual transmission. Rounding out the drivetrain, a Dana 60 rear end with 4.56 gears. With the overdrive in the tranny, she runs down the highway at 70 mph twisting only 2500 rpms. Wilwood disc brakes sit at all four corners. Flowmaster exhaust with a switch under dash the activates the electronic side dumps (see pic). In the interior you'll find another little detail. A correct '65 4 speed console with built in tach. Go try to find one of those! Tilt steering was added too. $3200. was spent on rechroming and polishing trim, and it shows. This car drives perfect. Tight, no squeaks or rattles common to convertibles. It is a blast to drive and gets tons of attention.
