1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie 500XL|
1/2 Ford Galaxie 500XL. It was put away 26 years ago with Transmission fluid run down the carb until it shut off. After pulling it out/changing oil & filter, fresh gas and oil priming, it started right up with no noises or smoke. Had to rebuild the carb(4v), new plug wires, replace the gas tank, Master & Wheel cyls. and hoses. Starts, runs & shifts GREAT! This is the perfect restoration project as its an XL, ALL there and has NO floor, trunk or rockers rust. It does need the bottom rear wheel wells repaired or replaced. The car is very straight and the doors shut with that "Ford-Click". Rare hood bullnose and rear bumper guards. All glass,trim and chrome is in good shape.
