Chevelle COPO . This is true 68 Chevelle post car with 32,000 original documented miles, Protec-O plate. If there was ever a COPO Chevelle built in 1968 this would have been it. She was built in May 1968 in the Baltimore plant, the same plant where the COPO Novas were built in June and July 1968 among others. She's badged as a 427 with all the hardware suspension of a HD Chevelle of that year, including rear sway bar. She has a 461 cid. a .030 over 1980 454. $3500 spent on casting 1970 High Perfomance Cyl. heads, ported-polish 3 angle valve work with 1.7 roller rockers. M-22 Muncie, 4:10 Posi. The only thing lacking ia a full vinyl mat, that COPO would have had due to lighter weight. She has a 6 cyl Vin# but trim tag said a 8-cyl. After much research is was not unheard of to change things mid-stream on the production line. 1968 as you know was a big change of body styles of GM, it is hard to get GOOD info on 68 Chevelles due to a lack of record keeping. Interior is original looks brand new, not tearing apart looking for build sheet. Only thing she needs is 40 anniversary all aluminum 427, wouldn't that be TRICK.
