Pontiac GTO Convertible. 1 of only 461 GTOs like it built in 1968.
Rare 400 HO 360 HP L74 engine, Hurst 3 speed automatic, PS, PB, HD suspension, hidden headlights.
3 owner car stored for past 23 years. Has original build sheet and owners manual in glovebox.
Recently spent over $1,200 on upper and lower ball joints, upper A-arm bushings, tie rods, idler arm, sway bar link kit, front end alignment, battery, and tune up. Also passed emissions and inspection. Low-mile wheels and tires.
Second owner had trans rebuilt and exact replacement (YZ) engine block installed by GM dealer. Currently runs well, but has exhaust manifold leak and moderate oil leak from main seal.
Needs complete rear quarters and some replacement trunk panels. Hood, deck lid, doors, front fenders, and bumpers are all in pretty good condition, needing moderate repair at most. The doors sound/feel rock solid. Original body color was April Gold. Convertible top is good for original. Could be kept for a while longer, but better replaced. The frame is straight and solid, appearing to have been effectively undercoated a long time ago.
Interior is in good original condition. Clean it up for a driver car or replace for show.
