Beautiful Midnight Blue metallic paint with several coats of clear coat looks stunning on a near perfect body. All original body panels! No after-market junk. Body, doors, fenders, hood and deck lid, were media stripped to bear metal. Car was prepared with self etching primer and blocked several times. Lower fenders and rear glass area had some rust that was professionally prepared by cutting out rusted areas and replacing with new metal and welded in. The body lines are very nice! The doors, trunk hood and fenders fit very nice. Doors shut nice and tight. Trunk has no repairs and is solid. Trunk was sprayed with OEM style trunk spray and has a two-tone look as the factory applied.
Interior window and door components where cleaned of debris and installed with lubrication to insure that windows and door mechanisms work properly. All windows and glass roll up and fit very nice with no wind noise. New quality rubber seals and window channel felts where installed and give a distinct image of the quality of the restoration with no compromise.
The interior has completely been restored using high quality materials including the correct headliner material with matching sun visors and sail panels. The replacement dash pad does not fit near perfect as there were no other choices during the restoration process. The car was originally a bench seat car and was converted to the correct style bucket seats. All new padding was used during the interior process. No old materials. Door panels are original style replacements which are of superior quality.
The exterior moldings are original and are in nice original condition including the window surrounds and vent window frames. The grill and headlight bezels are original and have been powder coated to the proper color finish as original. The front and rear bumpers are original which have been triple nickel plate and fit is extremely good. Most of the bright work is original and appears very nice.
The car is equipped with a 427 cubic inch torque monster, backed up with a Muncie 4-speed transmission and Hurst shifter. The custom exhaust and quality headers give the car a sound that beats like a drum. The differential is a Currie nine inch with rear disc brakes. The front suspension is completed restored using high quality components including front disc brakes and large sway bar. The car is equipped with close ratio steering to enhance the suspension performance. All of the chassis components have been powder coated to prevent road debris from paint chip damage and lasting luster finish.
The Yenko decals are genuine GM sponsored. The decals are die cut and placed in the proper locations including the windows giving this car a distinctive appearance. This is a fresh restoration with less than 100 miles on an original 30k car. 1969 Yenko Nova Clone
