Mustang Mach I . Of Investment Grade Quality. It is a 100% California no rust vehicle!
It is Grabber Orange in Color with the White Interior. It is an M code 351 Cleveland 4V engine, with Factory: Power Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, Tach Dash, Shaker Ram Air, Rear Louvers, Auto Trans. Etc. In addition it has a 3.25 Traction Loc Rear Axle, Ford Am-Fm Stereo in dash radio, Space Saver Spare including Bottle, Magnum 500 Wheels and Goodyear Nascar Eagle Tires, and a non visible extremely nice am-fm/ multi cd changer. (This player is mounted in the trunk so for shows it is not at all visible.)
Every professional effort was taken to make every nut, bolt, hose, clamp, trim piece, etc., as they were coming from the Factory New. Such as the Deck Lid letters ? NOS metal new, not plastic. The Ram Air Shaker ? correct Factory Shaker assy. including snorkel, correct small diameter pipe and manifold stove ? not fiberglass repro. Clock working correctly with original movement, not quartz aftermarket. Dash bezal around gauges and clock ? professionally rechromed and mint condition ? not simply painted silver. Look at the decals, stickers etc.! Yes, everything works on the car ? it is almost impossible to find one in this condition? Air Conditioning, lights, rim blow horn, Tach, blower, even the shaker vacuum motor clicks the midplate flapper as it should with vacuuum on/off! What kind of paint does it have? After being stripped to bare metal, it was primed, and painted with Dupont Base/Clear Grabber Orange. It is show stopping in appearance! What about the engine? The 1970 Cleveland 4V was a 300 horsepower 11:1 compression ratio engine ? how can you find fuel with an octane high enough to burn correctly? An excellent question, and you should know that you can burn pump gas of todays quality in it because of its nice combination of .030 over but approx. 9.5:1 pistons. Yes it has a Ford Carb, not Holley on it, and yes it has Ford/ Motorcraft points and condenser, not Pertronix or aftermarket ignition. Yes it has Autolite Wires too. Yes that is a real Autolite Sta-Ful (caps screw on) battery that you see not just the cover program. Yes those are even new Autolite drive belts! Yes it has Factory Tinted Carlite Ford Glass, even the front windshield!
Motor is being rebuilt from top to bottom everything is new. Engine compartment is being taken to a higher level everything has been stripped down and repainted. Engine and compartment will be concourse when finished. More pictures and info to come when car is completed. You will not find a better more complete and true Mach 1 this is the best you will find. Always wins first place at all shows and nothing but thumbs up and compliments.
