Mustang Mach 1 . Beautiful, equipped with the infamous 428 Cobra Jet engine backed by an automatic transmission. This fine automobile is finished in beautiful bright red paint with black interior.
This car was restored in the early 1990's but still shows extremely well! It would be considered by most a concourse quality driver, this Mustang runs and drives just the way it should. The power coming from the 428 Cobra Jet engine is immense. It shifts crisply through the gears of the automatic transmission. It is also equipped with a 3.50 gear ratio Trac Lok rear-end, which helps the car to get traction even though it easily spins the tires at will.
As you can see by the enclosed pictures, this Mustang did come with the Cobra Jet engine. This is a numbers matching car, which means that the engine numbers match the Vin number to the car as does the transmission numbers
You will find all the body lines on this Mustang are extremely well defined and match perfectly. The original sheet metal is all intact on this car. It has original fenders, doors, quarters, rear tail panel, floorboards, everything. This was a very well kept vehicle before the restoration begun. Therefore, the sheet metal work that was required was minimal.
The interior of the car. The interior is impeccable. There are no rips, tears, discolorations anywhere to be found. The carpeting is as new, the seats, dash, and door panels are also as new. The radio even works as due the exclusive Mach 1 fog lights.
The trunk is highly detailed with the correct horsehair style trunk mat. It also has a Magnum 500 wheel jack, jack handle and exclusive to the spoiler equipped cars, a trunk prop rod.
The engine compartment, well there it is! The 428 Cobra Jet engine in all its manhood. Equipped with the Shaker Hood (working shaker flapper), aluminum valve covers
Under the hood you will see the weld indentations on the inner fender of the engine compartment area are all intact and correct. This car is a power steering equipped car, which includes the power steering cooler, and is also equipped with power brakes. This highly detailed engine compartment is very nice considering this car is still able to be driven.
The undercarriage is done in satin black with no undercoating to hide imperfections because there are none. It is equipped with a Trak Loc 3.50 gear ratio rear-end, dual exhaust for that famous Mustang sound. As you can see, the undercarriage is also detailed very nicely for a driven vehicle.

Well, there you have it. One fine 1970 428 Cobra Jet Mach 1.
