Studebaker Lark . This fabulous mild custom 1960 Studebaker Lark Two-Door is a hard to forget sight with a lasting impression. The vehicle shows as a high quality upgrade on an extremely well preserved car that has never been winter driven and has always been stored inside.
Powered by a 283 cubic inch Gm small block V-8 engine and a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission, it has a 2.73:1 ratio S-10 rear axle along with a new drive shaft. The engine mounts an Edlebrock intake with a Holley 450 4-barrel and a polished billet aluminum air cleaner. Stock ram horn exhaust manifolds and unique valve covers complete the underhood package. The firewall and inner fenders are in excellent condition. The 2" dual steel exhaust employs a pair of Turbo mufflers and has the exhaust tips exiting just below the bumper on each side. Inspection of the interior shows original old school upholstery work of good quality and in very good or excellent condition. The headliner and speckled mat are as new. The front bench seat bottom was just upgraded with new padding material and covering. There are no tears or wear showing. The trunk is amazingly clean and free of rust. The factory speedometer is flanked by a cluster showing water temperature and fuel guage. A Sun-pro tachometer and oil pressure guage are correctly mounted. The centre dash has a Lark radio delete plate and excellent glove box. Gauge and courtesy lights are all working. Taillight lenses are in excellent condition with no cracking. All glass is in very good-to-excellent condition.
The front and rear bumpers and bumperettes are in good to excellent condition with some minor weathering. The grill and headlight trim are brand new and in excellent condition. The chrome wheel rim rings are not included as they were not original.
The exterior paint is velvet black enamel that is original over most of the car. There are a few minor chips/scratches that have been touched up. (Very good for a 47 year old car).
This excellent vehicle looks and handles almost better than new and would make a great cruising machine for the summer. It is ready to drive home. Also included are extra steering and suspension parts, tail light lens, Studebaker radio, etc. I also offer free inside storage till mid-March. This vehicle was safetied less than a year ago.
