1977 Chevy K5 Blazer|
Chevy K5 Blazer. I’ve owned this truck since 1984. It has 4in. suspension and a 3in. body lift. With 350 cu. in. 4 bolt main. 4 speed top loader, 205 transfer case with ¾ ton rears and 410 gears. The rear is a Eaton posi (not a locker) which was put in two years ago. The tires are brand new 15x391/2 15. Yes they do make 8 lug in 15 inch rims. Not even 600 miles on them. The engine is stock except for headers, eldelbrock carb, (600) and manifold.
All new body bushings were installed about 3 and ½ years ago. This truck runs and drives and was just inspected in April. Brakes are good, all lights work.(No dash lights) A/C needs a charge. It is the old R-12 system. It would last the summer so I would just charge it every year. It was going to change it over to 134A but just didn’t get to it.
Also installed was a Borgeson steering shaft not too long ago – part #930 from Summit racing. Real truck air horns with a compressor under the hood. Grant steering wheel with anti-theft to remove the wheel.
Now for the parts that need attention. The floor boards have been patched, and should be replaced. No holes in the floor. The rocker panels should be replaced. The back under the tailgate and the floor near the tailgate was patched. Some rust small spots here and there like inside the doors. All of these parts are fixable and the parts are out there, and I have most of them... Let’s face it: the truck is 30 years old. This would make a great project Truck, off road or hunting Truck, or for parts.I am selling everything to do with this truck and it sure is worth more than the price in parts. I don’t want to part it out. I want to sell everthing at once. Also included: The original 350,(runs) both are 4 bolt main, 4 speed top loader, transfer case, ¾ ton rear, an electric tailgate, 2 brand new fenders, 2 brand new doors, 2 brand new floor pans and more extras.
