Chevy Bel Air

Chevy Bel Air . Numbers matching survivor. Retains all of its original body panels. Car is extensively undercoated, but where the coating is peeling off, it looks like brand new metal underneath. Car was painted about 30 years ago, but still looks and shines nice. Does have a few small scrapes and scratches. Original color was silver with a cream top and red interior. Will need the bumpers and some of the minor trim rechromed for show, but is okay for a driver. Current drivetrain is a mildly built 350 with Turbo 400 automatic and a B&M Quickshifter. Only has about 1500 miles on the rebuild. Was not run for several years, and now has a lifter noise that comes and goes. Runs, drives, and sounds very nice. Very dependable. The original 283 Power Pack short-block and Powerglide tranny are included with the car, allowing you to make it a numbers matching vehicle again. Interior was customized before I got it, and is very bright. It needs some dash restoration as well. Almost every part that was ever taken off or replaced is in the trunk (Except for the motor and tranny, of course). Many new parts are included. This is not a rust-bucket, or a major project. It is a survivor that is a nice driver that turns heads and attracts attention wherever it goes. It was owned by one family all of its life, until I bought it about 8 years ago. The 2-Door Sport Coupe is the second rarest 57 Chevy body style, second only to the convertible. These cars are rapidly appreciating in value, and regulary sell for $60k-$80k+ at the shows I've been to lately. NADA lists them at $50k in average condition. I feel this car is in above average condition. My price is well below those numbers, and well below the replacement value that my insurance company has placed on the vehicle. Please keep in mind that if it were a perfect vehicle, I'd be asking at least twice my price, so please don't nit-pick. If you want a perfect car, go pay $75k+ for one. I am selling it, and all of my other cars and projects because of health-related issues. Cash sales only at time of pickup. No checks, no credit, no payments, no trades, no BS. I will not deliver, or make arrangements to ship. That is totally up to the buyer.
