Camaro SS/RS . 1968 CAMARO ? SS/RS 396 Convertible
This restoration and modification was completed about 7 years ago and recently upgraded with new interior and top. The 396 cid Chevrolet V8 is bored 60 over on pistons with 11.5 to 1 compression. The unit runs very strong and produces 450 HP with stock rods, crank, heads and a mild CAM. The MSD ignition ensures fire to the cylinders while the engine is cooled with a Griffin aluminum radiator and electric fans. The Hurst Dual Gate Shifter resides on a Turbo Hydromatic 400 transmission which is connected to a 12 bolt GM Posi-Trac rear-end. The vehicle is running on Boyd Codington wheels with BF Goodrich Radial TAs which conceal the 4 wheel disc brakes. This car is Midnight Blue with a white power top and classic white Hounds-Tooth interior. An additional $20K++ of chrome in the engine bay and underneath dress it up for show. This vehicle is stunning, it runs well, looks good and attracts a crowd wherever it goes!
